I've noticed that my Desire is automatically deleting my emails from my inbox after a few days. I've tried looking in the obvious places to change this but without any luck.I'm not using a gmail account just my own private email account for my emails.How can I change my email account so that I decide when to delete emails from my account?

I use hotmail and have worked out how to delete emails on my computer when I have deleted them on my phone. However, when I delete from the inbox on my computer they still show up in my inbox on my phone.Any ideas how I can get them to delete from both?

The emails I delete from my hotmail account on my evo keep reappearing. They will either all pop back up as new unread mail later on or sometimes right after I delete them when I reload the page they start popping back up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed for the past few days, my Incredible has been deleting my email off of my pop server account after I delete it (from Trash) out of the phone. Before you say anything, I have "Delete Email on Server" unchecked from the settings. So I checked it, shut off the phone, unchecked it and then sent a few test emails.
With it checked, it does delete my email after I delete it off of the phone - obviously. Unchecking it, sending test email and deleting it still deletes If off my POP Server. I am a little frustrated because I realized about 4 days of emails have been deleted, although I have copies of them on one computer. I know it didn't do this out of the box, only recently.
Galaxy S3- Periodically old emails that have already been deleted show up in my in-box. How do I stop this from happening?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I go into my mail and click refresh it deletes everything in my mail box! Its not full there is only usually about 5-10 emails lying in there. I really don't know why it deletes them when I press refresh, today I lost an important email from virgin media. It seems to do this a lot.

View 4 Replies View RelatedGot my Hero almost on release date from Orange Uk. I am well happy with it especially after the ROM update (official Orange one from HTC). I suffered from the missing SMS problem thats mentioned in another thread on here but I installed SMS2mailbox and that seems to be sorted now. I don't use my gmail account as my main email account I use my ISP which is Sky. I have a strange hit and miss problem with the POP mailbox and I wondered if anyone else suffers from it or knows a fix.
I have the email account setup on the Hero and it shows mail in my mailbox no problem, the issue I have is that it randomly deletes mails from my POP server and only keeps the copy on the phone. Heres an example. I get sent 5 emails in a day while I am at work. I check my Hero mail app and it shows them all. When I get home I open my Outlook client on my PC and only 4 emails come down. I can check on the phone and it still displays the 5. First I thought it was a phone setting but the 'Delete Mail on Server' is definitely set to off. This happened before and after the ROM update. I wonder if it is peculiar to Skys mail servers.
I'm having an issue with deleting emails from the generic email client on Android 1.5. I use the gmail app for dedicated gmail stuff, works like a dream. However, my uni email address (IMAP) using the normal 'email' app is a different story. It will receive emails no problem, but if I delete them they disappear for 2 seconds, then reappear in the inbox again (in the same place) with a line through them, they don't even move into the trash folder. However, what does happen is that they disappear off my webmail server. Is there a way of actually removing something from the inbox once it's been received, or is it there forever? It's a LG Gw620 (eve/intouch max) running android 1.5.

He uses a Hotmail address.
If he:Downloads the e-mails on his phone, thenDeletes an e-mail via. the website (mail.live.co.uk) ... the deleted e-mails doesn't disappear from his phone in the Email app.
This means he now has 500+ e-mails in the app when there are only around 50 in his inbox.
R.java has deleted automatically. How to get it back?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Roadrunner account is setup on my EVO and receives email, sends email, no problems there. Issue is that emails that I've already downloaded to my pc Outlook are still showing up in my inbox on my EVO. I've looked through all of the settings and cannot find one similar to what I had for my Windows Mobile mail, which deleted mail that it didn't see was on the mail server anymore. Is this a possible bug or maybe an intentional design, or am I missing a setting?

Everything looks good so far but when it gets to the analysis part, I have to close it because it says "Software update is not supported for this model".
2) For people who did the firmware update, do your text messages get deleted? Since my text messages could potentially be deleted, how do I back them up or save them to my SIM card?
I have an Android 4.0 tablet, set up email and when I delete some - put them in the trash, and them empty the trash, they're still there when I look in that folder again.

I get so few that it would be better for me to be able to simply do a "manual" check when I want, rather than have the phone check all the time. View 7 Replies View Relatedi had to turn off the settings for the Mobile Networks MMS and data because it automatically connects to my provider and I am being charged and this usually happens when I touch on Timescape. I just dont know if its connected though but after doing so, after sometime my Messaging system prompts me up a message saying that there was an error (android.system.mms) and it needs to fore close and then after that all of my messages were automatically deleted including the message updates in the splines. I already went to the Service Center and the only thing they told me was it will be okay once I have updated to the new version which is the 2.1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with an HTC Desire. I have an emailaddress that does not require authentication for the outgoing mail. I've unchecked the "authentication required" tickbox and saved the settings.
Somehow the phone automatically resets the Authentication setting and there I can't send email.
My question: how can I prevent the Desire from automatically place a checkmark next to "Authentication Required"?
I fell in love with the Thinking Space mind map app. Over the past few weeks I have added everything to my mind map and it has changed my life. Today I opened the app and I cant find my map. For example I had an app called Bubble Burst Free BUT I uninstalled it - though now when I long press on the homescreen, select Program, Bubble Burst Free still appears (along with a few other uninstalled apps) though when you select it nothing happens, which obviously shows it has been deleted BUT its annoying to still see it there.
