Everytime I start any audio or video there seems to be a pop sound that occurs. It's louder if I happen to pause a track and then resume playing it again. It's still there even if I use my own earphones as well, so I'm thinking it's the handset. It doesn't happen with the speaker, only the 3.5mm jack. I was just wondering if it was a common issue or a problem just with my handset.

My phone , HTC x one plus .. have a problem .. when I put the earphones in , the sound came from both earphones and the phone speaker.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I play one of the stock ringtones (which, by the way, suck) or stream radio stations, music plays fine. However, I would like to be able to download music to my phone either from my computer or from an app, but every time I try either of those, I hear a popping/dripping noise in the background. It happens both when I preview the song/sound and when I download it, and it doesn't matter where I download them from. I've tried websites, my computer, apps, etc. So frustrating!
It sounds like it may be a problem with the speakers, like maybe they are having trouble playing certain file types or something, but I haven't the slightes idea why this is. That's just a hunch, though. I know nothing about how phones work. Anyone know what might be going on? By the way, I don't know if this affects anything, but my phone is rooted now. The popping/dripping began way before I rooted it, though. Just throwing that out there.
There have been multiple threads of people saying they are experiencing sound popping when using the 3.5mm jack, most of them say its on Pandora others will say that it happens on all mp3's or a few mp3's that otherwise sound perfect when played on their computer. To test I want to see if its a defect in hardware or if it just another Droid Does problem. I always consistently experience sound popping with my Sony headphones while playing Home by Michael Buble. If you go to youtube and search "home buble" play the first search result in high quality and turn the media volume to maximum. Listen in about 45 seconds and let me know if you hear popping.

I know there are a couple of threads for this, but they all recommend expensive ones.I've never shopped for earphones before, have always used the ones supplied with the devices. So what do I have to look for? The stock earphones are not great for noisy environments, so I would like something with noise isolation.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI dont know if this is a "feature" of ADW Launcher or if it also does it on a stock Fascinate.... but when I have it plugged into a USB cable on a computer the damn thing chimes every time the screen changes from portrait to landscape, dadada ding! dadada ding!.....every time i pick it up and that is really starting to get annoying!

When listening to my music and an incoming call comes in, you cant hear the ringtone in my headset. The only time you hear it is when you press the button to accept the call for about 1 second.

I don't think my thumb has grown any bigger since the update so I'm wondering if this is happening to anyone else.For example if I wanted to type " Hey how's it going?" it will often come up like "Hey. How's. It. Going?" and I then have to try and retype it properly.Is it possible that the "." button programming is overlapping into the right side of the space bar?

In a quiet room I set the volume to "1" (i.e., one notch above nothing) and it's still a bit loud. That's how sensitive they are.While playing music there is a very noticeable hissing & popping (more like a thumping). This noise can be isolated by turning the volume to "0" while the music is playing.Others have complained of this, and different people have claimed their music is crystal clear. I wonder if there's a common defect to many but not all desires. or if only those of us with particularly sensitive earphones can hear such quiet interference.Maybe it's something else causing it, like the wifi? I will experiment later.

about.com etc. Sometimes foreign language sites show up, in non-western characters.
The phone is new. I've tried clearing the history and the search history, disabling search suggestions, even setting airplane mode in case the phone was fetching this live.
I get a notification when the USB is plugged in. Does anyone know where to change this. Just can't seem to find it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've heard that today's batteries' health depends on how many cycles they have gone through, and considering this it should be wise to leave the phone plugged in while fully charged and under heavy use. This way you will delay the cycle and get a "healthier" battery. This was just MY theory and I was not too sure about it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've made a nice little dock while I'm at work for keeping my phone upright and flat against a board while plugged in at my desk. This enables me to answer texts by just reaching over and tapping out my reply instead of taking the phone into my hand. What I'm after is an option, app, widget, Anything that will allow my phone to stay on while it's plugged in (sort of like a mini laptop). Right now it goes black after a minute, as it would do if it was on battery.
The only option I can find in the settings is when to turn off the display, which only offers a maximum of 30 minutes and doesn't take into consideration whether you're on battery or charging. It would be preferable if this option existed only while on charge, as I don't want my phone on all the time while on battery, obviously. For what it's worth, my Desire is running 2.2 with the Cyanogenmod 6.0.2 ROM.
My HTC Desire seems to have stopped singing the "tik tik" sound (the sound when you clicked on any program).

I have them all checked, but for some odd reason, I still didn't get the sound.
phone downloaded 80mb of data over night over 3g (according to 3g watchdog) all of its own accord and the Network History (*#*#4636#*#*) is not any help as the phone was plugged in!
I really wish there was a better way to see which apps are using data, how much and when!
I ph33r it may be an evil plot by Vodafone to force downloads onto my phone to go over the FUP.

Desire is not coming with NaviPanel software (unlocked or not) regardless of firmware version so this could mean that we will get an fw update soon (before 5 July) to include the NaviPanel app.
Until then the folks at xda forums managed to get the app to work with Desire and they even modded it to work with brut maps instead of maps.
Since the official car holder is scheduled for launch after a month and a half from now and is going to cost TWICE as much as the Nexus official car holder I'm wondering if it is possible to make any regular charger to trigger the auto launch feature?
When at work I usually have mine plugged into my laptop to charge it up and today I notice that it's getting warm at the back. It's not even been used at all for the last 2 or 3 hours, it's just been sitting there on charge.

Have since discovered that the sensation is only present when plugged in, but NOT charging - i.e. power light is green.
