But how can it determine whether or not it's plugged in when it starts running? The closest thing I can find is AudioManager.isWiredHeadsetOn() which "checks whether audio routing to the wired headset is on or off" - but the headset can still be connected without audio being routed to it.

My initial thought is i can write a background service which will run tcpdump command and forward its output to inputStream. By putting any regular expression i can retrieve list of connected IP to my device.I think that would be bulky to continually run command like tcpdump.

I tried VNC servers and TeamViewer QuickSupport but the main problem is that I don't see the mouse pointer on my device so it's very difficult to use a mouse when you don't see the pointer ^^

my android device supports both wifi and 3g. At particular time which network is available on this device. Because my requirement is when 3g is available I have to upload small amount of data. when wifi is available entire data have to upload. So, I have to check connection is wifi or 3g.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have manually installed the drivers, and I am running windows 7 64-bit. The problem is that my Hero will not connect to my pc as a mass storage device. I pull down the notifications, mount, but then a couple of seconds later, the hero remounts the SD card and closes the connection. My computer will detect it and I can access the "storage device" for a couple of seconds, but then it disconnects.

I have experienced following problems with my tablet :
1. When connected as usb storage device it restarts automatically.
2. Bluetooth once switched off can't be switched on unless device is restarted.
How I may check the mount point mappings for my phone?

Lately, I've noticed it has been having connection issues. I start the hotspot, my laptop "sees" it. And I can connect (shows "connected" in the wifi window next to "FoxFi" on laptop). But, at the top of the same wifi window, it also shows (under "Currently connected to:"), "No internet access" (or something - connected right now on different wifi network, so I can't get the exact wording). But I hope this is clear.
Why this weird contradiction? One part of the window says I'm connected, the other says I'm not.
Also, if they work, how do I check on my phone that it is detecting the external microphone?
