Is there a way to fix it? or even just delete the ear plug and have all sound out of the phone (a earplug faker) dont know, having no sound........

I dont know if this is a "feature" of ADW Launcher or if it also does it on a stock Fascinate.... but when I have it plugged into a USB cable on a computer the damn thing chimes every time the screen changes from portrait to landscape, dadada ding! dadada ding!.....every time i pick it up and that is really starting to get annoying!

The volume is at max but still cant here it.This is with sms , mail , whatsapp and more.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my plug stopped working, ive only had my galaxy s4 active is only 2 weeks old. it only charges when plugged into my laptop or xbox, but when i plug it in the manufactured plug and usb cord the phone will not charge while on. when off, the phone just vibrates every 3 seconds. and will not charge.
it used to charge on the plug when i would have it already plugged into my computer for a little bit. but now it doest work anymore..
Everytime I start any audio or video there seems to be a pop sound that occurs. It's louder if I happen to pause a track and then resume playing it again. It's still there even if I use my own earphones as well, so I'm thinking it's the handset. It doesn't happen with the speaker, only the 3.5mm jack. I was just wondering if it was a common issue or a problem just with my handset.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI didn't worry about it till today. but i was useing my phone while it was charging. but it got pretty hot today. enough for me to go download a app to see the temp of the battery. it said like 108? and right before i took at battery 118? idk if its right but it was pretty hot. and i am sure its not good if its getting that hot. i was listening music through blue-tooth, on the internet with wifi and thats it really. i put it in the fridge for 5 mins hope that wont hurt it but i need help and what should i do to stop this? please let me know. im using the charger that came with it. it was got warm when i charge before but i dont think this much.

I got a problem with my Samsung Galaxy, I can't make normal phone calls since all my sound goes threw the minijack plug. I've tried connecting and disconnecting earplugs over 9000 times but still nothing. powered it off and on a lot of times, removes batterij etc. nothing seems te work. My last desperate act is to reset it to factory settings, but before I'm doing that I'm asking if any of you have a better salution? when I'm in my car (bluethooth carkit) I can make normal calls aswell.

Shouldn't the phone's external speaker not be playing music while I'm using my headphones? Sometimes the external speaker will remain silent while my headphones are working (as I would imagine should be the case) until I receive a text message, and then the external speaker will play music along with the headphones. I have downloaded a few soundboards and want to use one of them....i press and hold the sound i want and set as my default notification.....i then go into settings and choose the relevant sound but everytime i get a text I'm still getting the stupid t-mobile msg sound.

It lost it's wifi back then and I managed to get it back by wiping it a number of times, both factory resets and android type.Other problems have occurred, I've taken care of them along the way. Now, the phone only works if it's plugged in. If it isn't, it goes dead. Shuts itself off immediately without a plug-in charge.
Btw, Samsung never would honor the warranty, citing they" don't replace phones but would "take a look at it" but couldn't "guarantee what they could do for it's software". I've had Samsung phones before and never had problems like this.
ok this is what is wrong with the phone. about 2 days ago my phone acted weird it shut off but after a while it came back on. Then yesterday it did the same thing but it never came back on. the phone was fully charged and as i went to reach for my phone to wake it up it didnt do anything. I have tried the power and volume for 2 mins nothing. I have had it on the charger but all it does it is hot but no light. I have never rooted this phone and dont know what is wrong with it. I only had this phone for 1yr and 3 months. All my contacts, recipies, photos, ect are on it i even tried to see if i can contact it to the manager nothing.

I upgraded my Samsung S I9000 from stock ROM Gingerbread to Cyanogen 10 (Android ICS).
The phone used to beep when plugged and now it does not anymore. Having I sight issues that audio clue was useful.
I cannot find how to enable it back.
I flashed my galaxy with Glaxo 1.6.3.1 and found that though the volume level is really loud the quality of sound is not good at all and just because of that i had to switch back to IK5.

I've changed my ringtones on my Galaxy S to different custom MP3's for various contact groups. No problem there. I've changed my 'notification' sound to a custom mp3 from the settings/sounds menu. No problem there. But there calendar still plays the standard sound (I think it's called 'on time' in the Samsung sounds list) and I can't find anywhere to change it. At first I thought the calendar would've used the notification sound, but it never changes... so then I thought maybe you change it from within the calendar itself.

So far I totally love it, but there's this small issue that made me register and finally make a post here.
My previous phone was an Apple iPhone, but I dropped it so the screen broke, and I didn't bother with trying to fix it, so I decided to try something new.
Now, what I loved about the iPhone was the headset/handsfree that came with it. It's the best I've tried so far, and that's why I really wanna use it instead of the crap one Samsung bundled with the Galaxy.
Now here's the problem:
When I use the Apple headset with my Galaxy, the vocals on music doesn't play, unless I press and hold the answer/hang up/shuffle button on the handsfree. And because of this, it does ofcourse not work as a answer/hang up button. The bundled handsfree works as it should, with normal sound, and buttons.
I have no idea if this is a hardware 3.5mm issue, or a software issue, but all I know is the Apple headset works fine on my brother's HTC Hero, which makes me believe it's less likely to be a software issue.
I'm also reluctant of buying another handsfree, incase the Galaxy only works with the bundled one.
Oh, almost forgot, if it's of any use, I'm running the II5 firmware, updated through NPS.
How do I assign an MP3 or indeed other audio file for my TXT message alert.? I have created and assigned about 5 different ringtones to both individuals and groups, but I can't get the phone to accept a MP3 as the txt notification ?

the only thing i can think of is that recently i hooked up my bluetooth headset to my phone and made a phone call to a friend and since then i haven't been able to hear anyone when making a phone call
When connecting my Galaxy-S to the Samsung Kies software, my telephone shows up with an incorrect telephone number. I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.
