I rooted my Desire HD succesfully and had no problem flashing roms and learned a little about rooted device abilities. However, no matter which rom i used, when trying to power down the phone it would power off and boot into clockwork mod. I could never actually power the device off. I now have a Note 2 that i would like to root but I am worried I wont be able to power off my Note.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It'll come on and just stay at the Samsung logo screen. It's not frozen because the logo is glowing on and off. But it never gets past that screen!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just done a nand backup, then unrooted (downgrade), then used Unrevoked to root and did a nand restore. Btw that took forever! Anyway after it was said and done the phone rebooted, and viola everything was back on there. The only hitch is since I have done the restore my phone has shut off by itself 3 times. I was ever so reluctant about doing the whole Unrevoked process and this is why. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Update: It hasn't turned off since after the third time so I guess it's stable now.

But I installed Nonsensikal 13.2 about a week ago, love it, and was about to basically settle on this as my default rom until Saturday. Starting Saturday my phone has become non-responsive about 5-6 times. Meanin the lock screen won't come on, and the power button will not turn the phone on or off.I'm assuming this means that the phone is still on when this happens, because if it had just powered down randomly I'd think the power button would turn the phone back on I have to pull the battery out and power it back on to start working again. I don't have setcpu or autokiller running, but I am running juicedefender (in case any of that is helpful for anybody.)
View 3 Replies View Relatedtoday i've recived a phone (M-Horse N9000W), i've put in the SIM, SD card, powered up perfectly, found network, used if for a little, tryed to install Google Maps, that required some aditional app google play i think or smth like that, and when it was downloading that it froze and went dark. I tryed to take out the battery, change the battery, to charge it and nothing... i don't think the phone got any LED on front cause nothing is lightin up.. i've removed the battery wille the phone was plugged to usb and used a measuring tool and the phone gets power... it just won't start. Tryed holding vol up home and power, vol down home power, home and power, vol up and power, vol down and power... nothing. i've plugged in too see if odin recognize it and... nope . Is there a solution or i have to send it back, only the downside to this is that i have to send it to China from Europe and it will take a lot of time.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm having with my Matrix One tablet. I'm getting an exclamation mark inside of a triangle, inside of a battery icon. The issue started after I let the battery completely die out. I can't get past that screen. When pressing power the battery icon shows up and the tablet shuts down a second later. I tried all button combinations to get into recovery, nothing worked. I've also tried charging the tablet.
There was one thing I managed to do, that was get the tablet to show up on my computer. I held down the update button with a needle and then held the power button until a blue light indicating the tablet was on showed up. The screen was black but my computer detected a new device. My computer didn't find any drivers for the tablet, so I went in search of them myself and couldn't find any. My tablet is A10 compatible, but none of the A10 drivers I found seem to work on my tablet when I go to manually update it through device manager, neither does the PDAnet method I found online.
I was able to find a recovery that works on my device, one that will allow me to reset my tablet, if I'm able to boot into recovery after I get it on my tablet. Now in order to even test the other recovery I need drivers for my device so ADB can detect it and I can push the recovery. My device is already rooted with Superuser updated to the latest build.
I'll add that I've even taken the liberty of opening up the tablet to see if I can disconnect the battery from the board to cut all power, as I'm unable to do that because the batteries are connected by soldered red and black cables.

When I tried to go back and add a bookmark as one of my multicon widgets, they option was no longer there. I have tried to contact the developers three times, but no reply. I of course am going to get the new phone and I am going to give her my current Brand new Galaxy S3, which is only like 2 weeks old (2 weeks and 1 day to be exact). and I am just gonna hook myself up on the new line and give her mine. My question is, can you hook up phones that are rooted/Rom'd. I believe you can, cause I hooked up my buddies phone temporarily a week or so ago, and it was a LG Revo with the Gingervolt ROM on it. and they gave me a new SIM card, hooked it up and i was ready to go. So I don't think their should be an issue.
and yes I know this has been discussed over and over, but Galaxy Note 3 or LG G2 ? They are both amazing. But I want the one that has the best Dev work on it. and I do like the size of the Note 3. But I heard the LG G2 has a bit of a better camera, but I am not a huge photo taker, mostly just at parties, and when I am playing shows with my band I will have my GF take pics with my S3, and they turn out perfect. so I don't think that's a deal breaker for me.

Here's what I'm doing:Hold down the power button until the popup menu appears Select "Power off" Select "OK" The phone then says its shutting down. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Desire Bravo C I rooted it with clockwork mod and I went into the boot loader and clicked wipe data/factory reset I didn't know what it meant but now I cant turn on my phone! I can still load the boot loader menu and access restore..when I try to restore from a backup via the recovery menu it says the fallowing
-Restoring Data android_secure.img not found. Skipping restore of /sdcard/.android_secure.
-Restoring Cache sd-ext.img not found. Skipping restore of /sd-ext/.
-Restore Complete! I power it off then it puts me right back into bootloader.

I have a galaxy s phone with darky's ROM v10.0 RC final. evidently it is rooted but some apps don't recognized it as a rooted phone. first, when i ran the superuser it fails and said com.noshufou.android.su is failed to work...and then theres a notificaTION that su binary is outdated but i tried to update it a million times but always failing, tried this su update fixer but still negative results. downloaded busybox installers the first one also failed to install busybox saying the directory where i want to put it has a problem, tried to put it to other option directory but still negative. the other busybox installer says that my phone is not rooted. how come this happens when titanium backup recognized my rooted phone.

All of a sudden, on a somewhat regular basis (4-5x in last week), the phone will just shut off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. This occurs even when the battery is not even close to empty (today, for example, an hour after coming off the charger all night).
This is quite a troublesome issue, and before I decide what to do regarding keeping it, exchanging it for a new one, or returning it and holding out for the N1 or Incredible, I'd like to see if anyone has input regarding this issue.
