in my celkon ct2 tab when installing root apps they are not working.
I tried by using superuser from playstore....and my busy box versionnis 1.8.3 how to root it .to use tun.ko installer and link2sd or any alternative for that.
I recently rooted my Xperia Pro and after I finally did it, I have a problem now. The mobile internet isn't working. I can activate it, but the E- H- or 3G-symbol isn't shown and the internet doesn't work. I read in another forum, that my APN-Settings may be wrong, so I tried going to "Settings > More... > Mobile Networks > Accespoints", but this menu is empty. I only see the headline "APNs", that's it...
I deleted some apps, perhaps that's the problem, but I did a backup of the system/app folder. If that's the problem, perhaps you can tell me the app I need to reinstall...
I have a galaxy s phone with darky's ROM v10.0 RC final. evidently it is rooted but some apps don't recognized it as a rooted phone. first, when i ran the superuser it fails and said com.noshufou.android.su is failed to work...and then theres a notificaTION that su binary is outdated but i tried to update it a million times but always failing, tried this su update fixer but still negative results. downloaded busybox installers the first one also failed to install busybox saying the directory where i want to put it has a problem, tried to put it to other option directory but still negative. the other busybox installer says that my phone is not rooted. how come this happens when titanium backup recognized my rooted phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMake sure that before you run Unrevoked, you remove all the other zip files from the root of your SD card at least that worked for me - Unrevoked would not get past the "Hboot" message and phone would reboot in an unrooted state. Once I cleaned them out and re-ran Unrevoked the root proceded normally.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Eris and I am running KaosFroyo v37. I downloaded Wireless Tether, and its not working. Its broadcasting that it made an available wireless access point, but when I try to connect to it nothing happens. My computer wont link up to it. I know my WiFi card works because I have a working wireless access point where I live that I use every day with no issues. Its like my laptop sees the network, but wont associate with it. I tried using barnacle and it did the exact same thing.

Yes I really did do that. Now I cannot download. I cannot use my dialer. I think I deleted up to about C before I said uhoh I may be in trouble here. I rooted because I hate the phone. I liked my iphone better as it was quicker and had better email. Those are my main two things. Figured if I rooted I could get rid of the lag and set up a better email. Well here I am. I flashed this ROM (cm-10.1.0-RC0-1-GT-S5830-cooper++.zip) and clock having problem, it says the the clock stop from working, and everytime i will set alarm, it force close.
and i'm using NQ Android booster, and everytime i kill some background apps, it will restar my phone..
Just wondering what apps you guys have uninstalled fromm your rooted droids... I'm really getting annoyed by some of these apps like google talk storage, alarm clock, and calender launching themselves when they have no business at all running.And even regular apps do this which baffles me why people make apps that launch themselves I wish we had user acccount control I bet someone will make this type of app for rooted devices one day.

I am on the current .37 update.I downloaded dragonbox from the play store, and it loads but nothing on the screen responds to touch. Is there a way I can force this app to work on the Nabi? Or is this an issue with the software? (I'd be willing to get to the bones, rid the Monarch UI, etc. to have better functionality of the Nabi).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm asking this because HBO Nordic which recently became available in Scandinavia won't allow me to use my rooted ASUS TF101 for streaming. The HBO Nordic app says "Service is not available on this device because it has been modified."
I'm thinking one of two options might work:
1. Revoke one or more permissions
2. Modify build.prop

I should add that HBO Nordic works on my Galaxy Nexus which is currently unrooted but has an unlocked bootloader.

I still have some apps and my phone and wifi seem to be working fine.I don't have Market, Rom Manager, Titanium (but I DO have SuperUser). When I USB my phone to PC - the PC doesn't see either the phone pr the card although I haven't reinstalled HTC Sync). At this point, I don't really even know if I'm rooted or have busybox.I'm really puzzled as to what I should do next:I don't know whether to do a phone restore from Settings or, perhaps from Recovery? Or whether to find a RUU (Is there one with the updated radio or with Froyo? Or, I guess I could wait for the OTA - but that's a wimped out way out and it might not even work at this point. Or, do I want to try reinstalling Rom Manager and do the permission fix - then reflash one of the Froyo Roms. But would that get me Market back? In all cases I'm gonna have to reinstall most of my apps since most resided (at least partially) on the dead sd. Fortunately appbrain has a record of all my apps. - but, from what I understand, there's no way to install the Market, except via HTC/Google/Verizon.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have finally managed to root my tablet. Its a samsung galaxy tab 3.7.0 wifi only with 8GB of internal storage, most of which is taken up by system memory. Its model is the SM-T210.
1) How can i move apps to my sd card?its a 16gb sandisk...i have already tried folder mount, apps 2 sd and APPMGR 111, but they are either not compatible for my device or dont work/let me install them?
2)ive rooted my tablet...now what do you recommend i do?
It used to be the market would separate apps that were approved for auto update from those that had disabled auto update set. One could then simply hit the Update All (for the group) button and it would update ONLY the apps that were auto update enabled. Over the past few months Play Store has changed their behavior in that it no longer separates the apps and will only enable auto updates for everything or nothing.
How can I hide or otherwise prevent these few apps that I do not want to update from being in the play store update list? As it is now, I have to selectively update each individual app from the list, skipping the few apps I do not want updated.

I am sure it's been answered but I failed completely in finding what directions for my exact state and being a n00b when it comes to rooting, I've decided to ask first.
I am currently on rooted T-Mobile's ERE27. This morning I got OTA upgrade, however, when I tried to install it I got the "verification failed" message. After I restarted the phone, I looked at the SD card and found no Update.zip of any kind.
Several questions:
1) Should I wait for an OTA? Will an OTA update work on rooted Nexus?
2) If I have to do it manually, can someone please explain the steps I should take or link me to a guide that fits my state?
3) Will an upgrade, manual or OTA, wipe the phone?
has anyone rooted and used the hero without flashing a rom? even for a little while? my main question is: did or can anything go wrong with a rooted -only- phone? if i cant get the update anywhere ill finally root to delete the useless sprint apps but im happy with the OS as is so im not interested in the risks that may be involved with flashing. thank you for your patience as im new to android.
