I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

View 2 Replies View RelatedTo access the wireless at my university the network is 'open' but you have to sign in (personal user name and pass) via a login webpage prior to actually being connected to the wifi. It's kind of annoying to have to do this every time instead of the phone just connecting to the network.So two options that I am wondering would be possible:
1. best case, somehow it can automatically sign into the network once it is detected (e.g. run a script which enters login/pass to webpage)
2. at least have the user name and pass remembered (i cant figure out how to have it remember logins).
I should note, I have disabled cell tower data transfer (reason I bought the nexus one so I didn't have to pay $30 a month when wifi is everywhere!). So accessing wifi is the only way I get data connection; hence the importance of directly/automatically connecting
Ok coming from the droid and I always wondered how do I get all the stuff that is pre installed deleted. I have numerous things I want gone. I have noticed on this x that it seems there is so much running. I have stopped it and somehow it seems to want to run again. Those are the things I want gone. I will never get any battery life with all this running all the time. There is a news thingy that runs any way to disable this stuff.

Any way to delete the previous search criteria it lists underneath the search bar. Seems to keep a log or history of previous searches. Curious if there a way to get rid of this. Tried hitting/holding menu to see if there was an option and haven't found anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I got my first ever smart phone - nexus 4. The phone is great and all, but I hate how everything I do on the phone is connected to my google account. For example, when I enter my photo gallery, there are bunch of albums, blogs data, twitter data, random stuff from my google account which I DO NOT want on my phone. When I tried to delete the albums I accidentally made them to appear offline. Now there is no way to delete the albums. When I select a specific album I only get option to see "details". How do I remove them?
I tried removing my gmail account from my phone and it made things even worse. The contacts I manually typed to my phone are gone as well.
I have a Nexus7 (8gb) with a file headed "WV" and titled with a list of numbers in the "Personal Videos" file that does not appear on my desktop when I connect the Nexus. I now have four films (excluding the stray file) that I want to keep on the Nexus which are all under 1gb each, however my Nexus is now saying that I don't have enough memory to even download basic apps. I think this stray file may be to blame as I've checked the folder sizes using my desktop and I'm well within the 8gb capacity limit.The Nexus will not play the stray WV file; I get an error message saying "file cannot be played".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Goggle's Nexus One with Android 2.2 installed on it. The device is rooted. I have always been using the "quick boot" application with no issues. Recently (about a week), it stopped working. By "stopped working" I mean that it runs, shown the menu to choose boot method from and when I choose one of the options - nothing happens. I tried choosing multiple times, and still no go. I purchased the "hot reboot" app, thinking it might be a problem with the app, and it doesn't work as well. I installed "busybox" and it told me that my device is rooted but it did not manage to install. It is probably a permissions issue. The "superuser" app seems to work, because when I run it it shows me that "set cpu" gets a root access. I tried going back to backups as long as 6 months ago, but it still did not work.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi started with a stock N1 running unrooted froyo, then i unlocked the bootloader using the command "fastboot-windows oem unlock". i know that it is in fact unlocked because i see the open lock icon when the phone starts up now and i also see the **UNLOCKED** text in the bootloader menu. now I'm trying to use cyanogen's quick rooter (stock kernel) from here: Quick rooter for stock FroYo systems + 2.6.34 kernel - xda-developers. renamed it to update.zip (made sure it's not update.zip.zip), copied it to sdcard and I'm flashing it the same way i did the froyo update from the recovery menu but I'm getting an error saying signature verification failed. why would i still be getting this message after unlocking the bootloader?

When I get an SMS I get the notification popup as I have with every SMS app I've used, and I and do a quick reply to the SMS from the popup, but when I press send it disappears off into... I have no idea where. It never arrives and if I look at the hangout thread it should relate to it isn't there.
I did wonder if the popup might be coming from my old SMS add (Handcent) but the icon is Hangouts and the message isn't in Handcent either.

Since Google is dropping the ball in this category due to lower picture quality and I want syncing due to constant rom upgrades and multiple devices that want the same pictures.
I will be using contacts only from this server email and calender isn't needed but I assume will come with any software that does contacts.The HTPC is a Ubuntu Linux system and that is not going to change.
I downloaded a short video clip from the Internet. I assumed it would be stored in the "photos" file so I could easily delete it. But now I can not find it. I want to get it out of the phone.
Can someone kindly tell me how I can find it and delete it?
