Motorola Droid X :: Any Way To Delete Preloaded Unwanted Stuff?

Ok coming from the droid and I always wondered how do I get all the stuff that is pre installed deleted. I have numerous things I want gone. I have noticed on this x that it seems there is so much running. I have stopped it and somehow it seems to want to run again. Those are the things I want gone. I will never get any battery life with all this running all the time. There is a news thingy that runs any way to disable this stuff.

I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if I could clean up the app page and get rid of some of the crap I will never use and only have the apps I want in there.

Anyone know how I can delete the preloaded songs that come on the phone. When I hook the Inc up to my mac only my SD 2gb card shows up, I cannot vies the songs on the 8gb internal memory to delete. Any ideas?

I work 24 hours shifts, and on my calendar I have those shifts set up as all day events. I made them in Outlook, it syncs with Google Calendar. I use Jorte as my calendar app. Every night where I am scheduled to work later that day, at midnight, I get a chime for that all day event. How do I turn this off, but not ALL of the notifications? Just for the all day ones.

I don't know the name of the method I used but its the one that calls for you to place the file called "PC36IMG.zip" on the root of your sd card and then reboot into the boot loader. I followed the instruction and it seemed to flash ok, but now i'm trying to find out where to find the terminal/CLI so I can delete unwanted stock app like amazon music shop or nascar tv. All the instructions say to open the terminal or CLI and type in a particular path in order to delete the apks that those apps use. The problem is the guides never say where to find the terminal. Is it somewhere on the phone? Is it something I download, do i need to connect the phone to a linux computer to find the terminal?

i just got my behold 2 & was so frustrated about not being able to delete all my unwanted emails all at once...what a terrible feature not to have. but i found the solution...just go to market & download the "K9" application & it's done. you can select all emails, then delete AND they don't go to a "junk" folder...they are gone for good. maybe everyone knows about K9 already but i just had to share this wonderful information for anyone encountering this!!

a) I have numerous duplicate contacts. Is there an application to delete the unwanted ones?
b) None of the accounts have linked with Facebook and I don't want to have to go through and manually link them all. Is there anything out there to do this?

While I wait for 2.0 to be released for this phone, officially or not, I've decided I'm giving it to my brother, and I'm going to play with a Milestone. Anyway before I hand it over to him, I obv want to delete all my email account etc. info off the phone. I've been viewing this forum for months and I'm surprised that I haven't joined until now lol... I'm currently a tmobile customer and will be getting the X in November. I've read in a few places and from a few people in person that the 2.2 froyo update was a tad buggy in small ways after the update. My question here is... Are any of you who recently bought a droid x PRELOADED with 2.2 have any problems too? Are is it primarily those who came from 2.1? I am honestly hoping to find a droid x with 2.1 so I can hold out on the update until the kinks are fixed but I was just curious if there was a difference for those who updated and those who got there's preloaded.

Ok, so this is for the people that just got a new Droid X from the newer batches that come with 2.2 loaded in them.
I know there was some talk of early Droid Xs coming with the loose row of keys...here and there I heard! However, the new batch of Droid X's that I checked out all had very loose keys, Like both rows had alot of play? IMO thats a big no no, because with heavy use they can only get worse. Also new Droid x's are coming with the newer screens that were on back order, what I saw on two of them was pretty bizzare, the screen when turned off had alot of weird haze to it, hard to explain, but it looked almost blurry. When turned on you cant really tell, but when off, the wiggly lines are there? Also on board was a slightly yellow screen while in a White page like Google. WTF with these companies, it's enough that they release a new Android phone every single month, but phone quality is just not up to snuff IMO, that goes for Samsung, HTC, and yes YOU MOTO! Anyway, anyone else with a new X seeing any of these issues
