I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

Is this something I have to deal with or is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Same thing w/ the calendar reminders. I have dismissed them on my phone but they still come up in outlook when I get home.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOk coming from the droid and I always wondered how do I get all the stuff that is pre installed deleted. I have numerous things I want gone. I have noticed on this x that it seems there is so much running. I have stopped it and somehow it seems to want to run again. Those are the things I want gone. I will never get any battery life with all this running all the time. There is a news thingy that runs any way to disable this stuff.

Anyway before I hand it over to him, I obv want to delete all my email account etc. info off the phone. I couldn't really be bothered re-flashing it, so does anybody know whether the factory data reset works on Galaxhero, and does it just leave you with a blank galaxhero slate?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a few hotmail accounts and I access them via Live Mail on my work computer and my home computer as well as my hero. If I delete them on my home computer they still show up on my hero (Same with my work computer, delete and stills hows on my hero). What settings do I need to flip so that if I delete the emails on one system they don't show up on any of the other systems. (same with showing read). Is it a matter of IMPA vs POP3? It gets annoying to have to delete 30+ emails every morning on my hero after I've read them on my PC.

Why is it doing this and is there something in settings that will prevent it from deleting emails from my phone? Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? I am also curious how to backup the entire device prior to the 2.0 update coming. It seems like the 2.0 update will require flashing the phone. I assume it will erase everything? I wonder if sprint will provide an easy way to "upgrade" to 2.0 without losing everything on the phone.

View 2 Replies View Relatedokay so my hero gets REALLY slow when like i get texts and stuff. i mean its fine when im using my phone like on facebook and i can tell when im getting a text because my phone will start to lag and stuff so its like warning, but other times ill go take a nap and put my phone on silent and wake up and see i have like 5-10 texts and or a few missed calls and my hero will RUN SO SLOW because of all the texts and shit. its so annoying.

I've been messing with it and it seems like my mobile network isn't connecting correctly. I had to power down the phone earlier because it froze to black screen and I couldn't escape out of it and ever since then its been problematic. My Mobile network icon says "standby for connecting to mobile network" I'm not sure if thats bad or good, never actually looked at it. Any help or am I gonna want to do a factory reset?

I want it set up in a way when I delete a message from outlook, it disappears from the phone Inbox.(vice versa) Right now it doesn't do that.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a new Hero about a month ago. Last weekend, it basically restored itself to factory settings. All my contacts are gone, all the apps I downloaded had gone, text messages, calendar, the lot. It was as if I had pushed a button and reset the phone. Now, little by little, stuff has come back. I logged back into my google account and I would assume the calendar syncs with the google calendar as all my appointments are back. The Google account also remembered which apps I had and I redownloaded them. However, the contacts and the text messages have never come back. Is this a known issue? Is my phone possibly faulty and needs to be returned? I'm so confused. I do love this phone but I am not putting up with a phone which I cannot rely upon.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having the following issue with Exchange. When I setup the phone initially, I was able to synch my email, contacts, and calendar just fine. However, I started noticing that my emails had a delayed vs my computer. My Hero was syncing only every 5 minutes or so (I do have selected the option to get emails as they arrive). Eventually, I went to settings, data synchronization, exchange activesync, and there is an error message that says 'Error occurred on the computer running the exchange server'.
It also seems that it hasn't synced the contacts and calendar in a while, apparently it stops after failing to sync email. The funny thing is that I am actually do getting new emails just not as they arrive, but as I said before, every 5 mins or so. Another thing is that If I click on Synch now. I do not get that error message and it syncs mail, contacts and calendar just fine, but again when it tries to do it on its own, the error message comes up again.
I just picked up a some blue-tooth headphones, and was wondering how I can delete the stock music app! It's not playing nice with Meridian! I am rooted and all that good stuff if that helps! I tried using pre-kitchen but did not see the app listed!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI added some bookmarks to the Bookmark Widget that i don't want any longer, but i can't figure out how to delete them. I found another post about the G1 where it said to long press, but that only allows the whole widget to be removed and not individual bookmarks.
I've tried changing the name/link of the bookmarks and all that does is add another bookmark. Please help, now i have too many bookmarks i don't want.
