May 2, 2010When I DL a pdf file as an attachment to an email, Quickoffice opens it and lets me read it. When I use the OIFileManager I can see the pdf file in the downloads folder on my SD card and it is displayed with a Quickoffice icon. Clicking on the file launches the Quickoffice pdf viewer. When I look on the home menu I cannot find a Quickoffice icon. Where is quickoffice- is it integrated into android OS? I need to search text and/or pdf files for specific text- example: ADA procedure codes for dentistry. I have a list in both pdf and text format but can't find a way to search it for "crown".Is there an app (maybe a part of Quickoffice?) that will search for and highlight text in a text or pdf file?

May 20, 2010is there any way of managing/deleting files (eg PDFs that you download) on the SD card from the phone itself ? ie can you do it without connecting to a PC and mounting as disk drive ?Also - just bought a 16gb SD card and it seems like the speed of access/saving photos and transferring music from PC is much slower than with the 4GB card that came with the phone. This is my first touch phone/ANDROID phone, having previously owned the NOKIA N95 8GB, which I was more than happy with and would have kept it but the pull of the DESIRE just proved too much My teething problems seem to be with my music. I've put a load of albums on the phone from my PC. Some I can't find on my phone?!?! Others have gone on twice. I cannot delete the files from the phone. Does anyone know how to delete music files?

1. Can't open any of MS Office 2007 files like docx,xlsx, pptx. Do I have to buy Officesuit or documents to go, or quickoffice programs to open these? Any other free softwares that anyone know about? These are really show stoppers to me.
2. Is there anyway to copy entire email (Text part) and save it as a file or txt memo? Or can you highlight a paragraph in email, and save it as a text of copy to memo file? No luck so far, I can't even select desired part of email text...
