I'm looking for an app that is protected where I can store personal stuff such as credit card and bank info. I know there are several out there in the market but I can't seem to find them.

I bought an Eris which I love, but will probably take it back within the 30 days to get an Incredible. Just wondering what's the best way to clear all my info & downloaded apps off the phone so it's back to the way it came in the box?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just hooked up my Credit Card to the Google Play Store, and bought a couple of apps, and after that, attempted to remove it. I went to [URL] and went to the 'Payment Methods' and tried removing the card. But it warned me:

Will removing the card remove these apps from my Google account? And I won't be able to update/redownload them later?I have to remove it really soon.
Just curious if there is an app on the android market that would allow me to do credit card processing thru my phone. I've seen the attachment hardware for the iphone and also the straight software where you enter in credit card information manual into the phone.
This would be a huge thing for me, as I currently do a lot of mobile credit card processing with a machine that costs me a lot of money would be great to get rid of it.
I'm going to have to swap my new droid out because of a display issue. What is the best way to remove all the personal info and accounts from the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my Eris today. I am trying to switch my pics and infor from my old Sd card (it was only 256MB) to the new one that came with the phone.
Also I cant seem to save any pics, or at least I cant find them. When I put the old SD in, I can see those ones, just not new ones.
I switched from a G1 to this. So far they seem pretty simliar, this is the only issue I am having. I love how much lighter this phone is. My G1 was way to bulky for me.
What theme is this? Also anyone have some information on theming? Even Metamorphing? I'd like to create some of my own stuff.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDon't get me wrong, I think its great what they are doing by integrating search with all the "smartphone features", along with trying to bust up the Mirosoft entrenchment, but it seems like they can potentially have access to too much personal info. I know much, if not all of Google access can be turned off, but if you want to use the phone to its fullest, everything you do can be stored/monitored on a Google server.
- If you want to transfer contacts from a non Android phone, list has to go to Google for conversion (Exchange excluded).they know who you associate with.
- Turn on GPS, use for application and search assistance.they know where you are.
- Create custom maps and use Nav they know your habits and where you're going.
- Calendar they know when you're going to go.
- Use search/browse history to aid Google in helping you find what you're looking for they know what you like.
- GDocs, stored online they know what you're working on.
- "Backup my settings".they know how you use your phone, and copies of personal files store on the phone (full flash of phone and SD card, still got wallpaper back then some?).
- You want a decent POP3 mail app, "have" to use Gmail they have all your personal email.
I understand that being able to get free "stuff", there has to be some sort of give/take, but working in IT and being the cynic that I am, I can't help but think that this phone was rolled out more for Google's benefit than ours (read, Data Mining).But I'm more concerned about a security breach given that so much personal info is stored in one spot.
Is it possible to remove everything that's mine like passwords, accounts pics etc without using a computer and with a few quick actions?This is a nexus 4 with TWRP and slimbean 4.3 on it
View 6 Replies View RelatedI re-downloaded the BoA app after upgrading to 2.1 and it will open just fine, but when i select 'mobile banking' it just goes to a page saynig 'web page not available.' I was somehow able to bypass this yesterday by going to the regular website (which eventually just put me back on the mobile site). I'm wondering if it's just my phone. I do know the regular website (accessed via computer) was acting funny yesterday.

Whenever I see an app that requires the use of this information, 9/10 times I do not download it. I see a lot of games on the marketplace that require this information and I just don't see the point in a game where I toss paper into a trash can needing to know my location at the time I am using the app. Do any of the rest of you see any red flags that turn you off of certain apps despite how cool they may seem?

How secure is the information in a world where we put a large amount of personal info behind google-id and password? This id and pwd is plugged into the phone for functionality. We browse the Android Market for necessary apps provided by complete strangers and click Install. We click OK when caution is raised, with unknowing consequences and taking complete responsibility for the installation. Am I justified in being paranoid with Android model of doing things?

View 5 Replies View RelatedLet me start by saying that the Droid is a pretty impressive piece of technology.I tried purchasing an MP3 through the Amazon MP3 app, which comes pre-installed on the Droid. Everything looked like it was working fine, until I got to the checkout part. I entered my amazon e-mail and password, accepted the terms of service, and was immediately taken to the "Now purchasing" screen - I was never prompted for a method of payment (is this normal).Has anyone else experienced this? Are others prompted to choose a payment method? The only other posts that I've found with this problem are from people in the UK who bought the phone in the US. The responses indicate that the problem is maybe due to the app accessing the US store, but the user being located in the UK. I bought my phone in Maryland, and that's where I live, so I don't see how this could be the problem.

Figured I'd start a new topic. After upgrading to 2.1 I noticed some paid apps that I purchased were not showing up. Someone mentioned that protected apps will not appear until the eris is registered with the 2.1 android market. Just a heads up if you decide to upgrade early.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI received a letter from Verizon a month ago offering me an extra $50 credit for my NE2 upgrade to make a total of $150 - the catch was the offer expired April 15. Right then I knew the Incredible would be released after 4/15!
My question is - is there any hope of convincing vzw online sales or a store to extend the expiration date of the credit? I asked one online sales person and they said "no we can't do that for an online sale, but call a store, and they might be able to". So I called a store and they said "no when it comes in we won't be able to do that, but maybe online sales can". So is this a futile attempt? Should I wait until they are in stores on 4/29 and go in and talk to a manager? Or give up and pre-order now?
Seems i've come across a new problem that's just started with my phone. I can't seem to save images from the net to my phone. It used to work but now it doesn't seem to be allowing me to be able to. I'd hate to have to do a factor reset on my phone to fix this. Anyone know of anything that could be causing this?
