For a few days now I've been getting mail delivery failure messages with every regular email I receive. It's sighting "dopushmail" which I believe was an app that I downloaded a while back but I don't use it and when I go online to look, this developer is not supporting the app any more.

I'm curious on this one. On my old Voyager I was able to get delivery reports with a check mark in my sent items folder, so I knew if my tm went through. Today I was told that someone was not getting my texts, which was a problem on there end, since I was able to send and receive to others without issue. So I was curious, and found a setting in the stock messaging app to enable delivery reports. It works, however it just displays a little envelope with a green exclamation point in it.
This is cool and all, however I get that same icon for both successful deliveries and to ones that show up as "Pending" when I view the report. So I was wondering if this is normal for Android phones, or if there is an app I can use to get a better icon/report for delivered texts.
Does anybody who has rooted the fascinate know if they can get delivery reports on sms messages?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a particular problem with the Desire in the format of the delivery report for the messages. It only says 'received', or sometimes 'pending'. I have done some tests, and the pending status does not change when it's actually delivered, and sometimes it will say 'received' when the phone the message is being sent to is switched off.
I used this function (on my trusty old Sony C905) to send messages to phones when they were off, the delivery report would come in with the date and time that the phone was switched on and the message delivered.
Is there an app that I can download to do better management of message tracking? Hopefully the same app that will let me see arabic characters as mentioned in my other query.
I am relatively new to Android. Just got a Droid 4. As part of the setup, I added my gmail accounts. On the regular web interface, I have about 20 labels (folder) to archive the old messages. Then, I also had about 80 messages left in the inbox. Five days later, all of a sudden, I only have 1 message (a chat converted info a message 2 months ago) left in the inbox. Everything else in the inbox is gone. If I use the gmail app on the phone, that's what I see as well.
However, if I use the "mail" app on the phone, I am still seeing all the messages originally in the inbox. And the inbox is associated with my gmail account.
Now, comes the question: how can I restore all the email messages viewable by the "mail" app back into the inbox viewable by the "gmail" app, which is also the inbox in the web interface on my computer?
I have not been able to view some messages sent from ako mail. Can anyone help me with this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs a CM7 user, I thought that this is not possible in Android, but for a day, I have been using MIUI rom and it had an excellent SMS feature where you could see the real time when the text message was actually received by the person you sent it to.
There is something like that in Go SMS, but the 'received' time given by this program is fake. Once the delivery report is confirmed, the 'received' time is set to the same as 'sent' time. In MIUI it was the real 'received' time that was recorded for later view.
Also, MIUI firmware seemed to be able to read this value for SMS messages sent before installation of this firmware, which would suggest this value is stored in any firmware.
So, the question is - how can I get the REAL 'received' time on a non-MIUI rom?
Additionally, is is possible to set a sound for notification your SMS has been received by the addressee? Again, this function is present in MIUI.
Not showing SMS Delivery Reports and not showing GSM USSD Code messages properly are known issues in Droid 2 Global stock GB.
I want to know is there any way to replace software which are responsible for this operations with another form stock GB ROMs from other phones like Milestone 2 or Defy? The current ROM I have is DEODEXED stock GB.
Many user are facing a serious issue with Facebook Messenger: it automatically activate the Delivery Report in SMS when using it as the main SMS app. So, what's the matter? Well, the problem is that in some country (as here in Italy) the delivery reports are billed 0,20 € each!! Many users spent near 10€ to realize where the problem is.
So my questions is : is there a way to "mod" the facebook messenger app to disable this terrible delivery reports "functionality"?
I have created a group to send out joke texts etc however when i sent the text to the group i have created some go to their mobile number (What i want) and others go to their e-mail address... I have checked all the settings and cannot find a way to select the mobile number. Also some people that get it sent via text also have an e-mail address saved so it's not defaulting to e-mail for all the contact in the group with an e-mail address...

On previous non-smart phones I've been able to see not only that an SMS has been delivered, but also the time when it got delivered (ie when the recipient turned on their phone or whatever). Handcent will tell me whether or not it's been delivered, but not give a delivery time. Is this right? Is there any other app that can do this?

It doesn't always happen, and doesn't seem to matter the domain to which you are sending, even other gmail accounts. For example, I sent an email on a Friday, and it wasn't recieved until the following Monday. A friend of mine, another Droid user, sent an email to me and I didn't get it for three days. He too says he's noticed delayed mail delivery from the Droid. I've also noticed that sometimes the gmail icon opens a state of gmail from several days ago. I have to refresh the screen to get to 'current' data, even though I used gmail daily on the Droid.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using Handcent, but I get the same thing if I use the inbuilt messages app. Basically I select a group to send an SMS to and when I send the message it comes back that the multiple messages haven't been sent, but they actually have. First time it happened I kept trying to re-send, got the delivery error every time, despite all 5 lots of messages being sent - I spammed a load of friends! Oddly sometimes it works fine and Handcent does the correct sending of each msg one after another.

If any of you came from a BB9700, the text message would have a "D" next to it if it was delivered or a red X if it wasn't delivered.
I know if you long press the message in question you can press (view report) (not view detail) which can indicate MESSAGE PENDING. But the Icon has an green EXCLAMATION MARK in the envelope icon just as all the delivered messages do. I'm guess the Incredible Text message only indicates and verifies the message was sent by your (Incredible) phone, whether it was delivered has to be verified by long pressing the message itself and read the option VIEW REPORT. Does anyone know of a way to overcome this SMALL but very important dilemma.
View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Droid X on the default email app that is provided on the Droid X I have my Yahoo email account on there. Well it seems that I am receiving my emails extremely late. For example they aren't delivering right as they get to my Yahoo mail account. I'll receive 15 - 20 emails that I was supposed to get yesterday today. I have Push enabled but it seems like that makes it worse. It seems as if it would be better to have Fetch enabled then I could at least get my email every 15min. However I'd like to receive it instantly. The reason for this is in case I receive an email from a friend or someone I can reply back instantly and be able to keep a conversation going or if I get a facebook notification I can respond to that instantly. The facebook app on my Droid X doesn't even give me notifications like it says it should. So I pretty much have to rely on my email for that. So is there anything I can do to fix this?
