Not showing SMS Delivery Reports and not showing GSM USSD Code messages properly are known issues in Droid 2 Global stock GB.
I want to know is there any way to replace software which are responsible for this operations with another form stock GB ROMs from other phones like Milestone 2 or Defy? The current ROM I have is DEODEXED stock GB.

As a CM7 user, I thought that this is not possible in Android, but for a day, I have been using MIUI rom and it had an excellent SMS feature where you could see the real time when the text message was actually received by the person you sent it to.
There is something like that in Go SMS, but the 'received' time given by this program is fake. Once the delivery report is confirmed, the 'received' time is set to the same as 'sent' time. In MIUI it was the real 'received' time that was recorded for later view.
Also, MIUI firmware seemed to be able to read this value for SMS messages sent before installation of this firmware, which would suggest this value is stored in any firmware.
So, the question is - how can I get the REAL 'received' time on a non-MIUI rom?
Additionally, is is possible to set a sound for notification your SMS has been received by the addressee? Again, this function is present in MIUI.
Many user are facing a serious issue with Facebook Messenger: it automatically activate the Delivery Report in SMS when using it as the main SMS app. So, what's the matter? Well, the problem is that in some country (as here in Italy) the delivery reports are billed 0,20 € each!! Many users spent near 10€ to realize where the problem is.
So my questions is : is there a way to "mod" the facebook messenger app to disable this terrible delivery reports "functionality"?

When he rings my phone send busy singnal and he thinks maybe my phone is out of reach But if he sends Messages it sends delivery reports to him and he knows that i have Blocked him.
What do delivery reports do? What does spoofing as iPhone or whatever do?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm curious on this one. On my old Voyager I was able to get delivery reports with a check mark in my sent items folder, so I knew if my tm went through. Today I was told that someone was not getting my texts, which was a problem on there end, since I was able to send and receive to others without issue. So I was curious, and found a setting in the stock messaging app to enable delivery reports. It works, however it just displays a little envelope with a green exclamation point in it.
This is cool and all, however I get that same icon for both successful deliveries and to ones that show up as "Pending" when I view the report. So I was wondering if this is normal for Android phones, or if there is an app I can use to get a better icon/report for delivered texts.

Consumer Reports is supposed to have its finger on the pulse of the country. Recently, 50,000 readers were polled and only 54% were completely or very satisfied with their carrier and 67% had at least one major complaint. The top rated carrier was-no surprise-Verizon Wireless. Big Red finished numero uno with a score of 75. Number two with 70 points was T-Mobile. Sprint was third and AT&T was at the bottom with scores of 67 and 66, respectively.
The top ranked smartphone was the Apple iPhone 3GS with a score of 74, followed by the iPhone 3G with 71. The first non-iPhone model was the HTC Touch Pro2, also with a score of 71. The latter device is available on all of the top four U.S. carriers and twice was sold out at Verizon, once at AT&T where it is known as the Tilt2. Tied for third with a score of 70 was the HTC Imagio, Samsung Omnia, Nokia N97 and myTouch 3G. Despite heavy anticipation of its launch for the first half of the year, the Palm Pre was not a high scorer in the survey. To demonstrate the depth of love for the top ranked device, 98% of iPhone users said that they would buy another iPhone while 79% of other models were able to answer that they would buy their phone again. I am really getting sick of the short battery on my Incredible.As much as I hate the physical buttons on the X,I'm still contemplating moving to the X from the Dinc.I still have about 10 days to decide and I was hoping you guys might be willing to share your use of the phone and how long it is lasting. Yesterday I surfed for about an hour, Pandora for an hour, 20 minutes of phone calls, 5-10 text messages and emails (short ones), and about a dozen photos taken at the lowest res the camera offers (keep 'em small).I played Jewels about an hour total.No GPS, No Wifi for the day.I don't do twitter, facebook, etc. and don't have any apps running that are drains like live wallpapers and other "monitoring" software.I started at about 7:30 and the phone shut off around 6:40 or so -- about 11 hours.This is with the "bump charge" so I started with a completely full battery.

It doesn't always happen, and doesn't seem to matter the domain to which you are sending, even other gmail accounts. For example, I sent an email on a Friday, and it wasn't recieved until the following Monday. A friend of mine, another Droid user, sent an email to me and I didn't get it for three days. He too says he's noticed delayed mail delivery from the Droid. I've also noticed that sometimes the gmail icon opens a state of gmail from several days ago. I have to refresh the screen to get to 'current' data, even though I used gmail daily on the Droid.

It's my very first smartphone, i'm coming from an Env2 and got the Eris for $49.99 under the NE2 plan. Any tips for when I first get it? As soon as I open it? View 8 Replies View RelatedI got my Galaxy S3 today and decided to keep my Droid X for my son for games and movies. I can access the play store from the Droid X, but it doesn't show up as a device on my Play account on the Google website. Did I miss a sync setting or something?
I had both phones on my account when I first started, even after the Droid X had already been deactivated, but it disappeared after I did a factory reset on the phone. Both phones use the same Google account to sign into the store. The Droid X is running MIUI.

As I am considering switching to the Incredible from the Moto DROID (just as I'm sure many others are considering switching from currently capable phones), I thought this would be a great thread to have for those of us taking the wait-and-see approach. I am interested to see what - if any - major issues might crop up on this phone before I take the leap.I also thought it would be a great resource for new Incredible owners to have a place to look and see if there are known issues with the phone and possible remedies to them. I will check the thread as often as I can and update the OP so the information will be readily at hand.
HARDWARE
- Poor Reception? It has been reported by some users and reviewers that reception is questionable, including fluctuating 3G coverage, but there are other users which dispute this. It is not likely that there will be a definitive answer on this until after the release date when a much larger number of users in more markets are able to test their reception.
- AMOLED screen is difficult to view in direct sunlight. Known issue with all AMOLED screens and seems to be improved from the N1
- Back of phone / battery door is described as feeling somewhat "flimsy" compared to phones with more solid construction. NOTE: This is somewhat up for debate. Users are reporting that this is not the case, but there are reviewers and some users who still stand by their assessment.
- Vibration is reported to be weak, a known issue with the HTC Droid Eris.
- Some users are reporting significant noise in photos taken with the 8MP camera.
ANDROID / SENSE UI
- Apps are currently unable to use the built-in 8GB of storage. There is speculation this will be remedied, but no answer yet.
- When headphones are connected to the audio jack and speaker output is selected, if you terminate fm radio with headphones plugged in and screen off by removing the headphones...the program terminates but radio doesn't shut off and sound still comes from the speaker. Have to restart phone to have it shutoff...doesn't show up in advanced task killer. Not yet confirmed by other users.
APPLICATIONS
- Android Market is currently not displaying certain apps because Google has not yet updated it to support the Incredible's ROM; this should be remedied soon.
- Flash Lite has been reported by one user to stop the data connection with some videos, requiring a battery pull to remedy the situation. No confirmation on this yet.
