HTC EVO 4G :: Barely Hear Voice Mail Messages?

General :: Barely Hear People On Other End Yet They Hear Me Fine?
May 8, 2013I've notice lately, after flashing a custom rom, that during calls I can barely hear people on the other end yet they hear me fine. I have check all volume levels on my phone. Even with the call volume all the way up and on speaker is still very hard to hear.

Oct 28, 2012I have some problems when I'm using skype on my Samsung SGH-I827 (Samsung Appeal) from AT&T. Basically my problem is when I make a call to anyone of my contacts, what happens is that the other person can't hear me, I made a call to Skype Test Call service and I can't hear my own voice when I record the message that is requested in order to test the recording part.
This problem is in both ways, when I make a call and when I receive a call. I'm using only wi-fi because I don't have a data package that allows me to make calls over 3G. In addition I have a skype subscription and an online skype number that allows anyone with an landline or mobile phone reach me on skype.

Nov 10, 2009I currently have my gmail set to play a tone called "green tunnel" as its notification and my sms to play "life mushroom." Under the main settings tab, the default notification tone is "silent." For some reason when I get a text message, I'm hearing "green tunnel" and "life mushroom" at the same time.

Jan 23, 2010I changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

May 13, 2010Just got my Incredible and love it. I charged it up last night for the second time. Turned it on this morning and all looked good. Received a call this morning and I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. Several more incoming calls and the same issue. Then I made some calls...I could hear the person but they could not hear me. Finally turned phone off and back on and it is now fine. Mute was not on.....anyone know what this could be?

Nov 23, 2010This is driving me crazy. How do I clear voice mail notifications? Let me explain what I do. Of course the first thing is listening to the voice mail. Then I delete it. The notification is still there. When I open the notifications area I see voice mail pending. It's the same voice mail that I already listened and deleted. I click the voice mail icon and it tells me there is no voice mail. Then I go to settings, calls, and there is an option to clear voice mail notification, but is grayed. I can't do anything there. The only thing I can do is turn the phone off and back on. That is the only way I can clear the notifications area. There should be a better way. Anyone has the same problem?

Apr 29, 2010Quick question and I was wondering if its been happening to any of you. When I get a new voice mail, there is no alert appearing at all in the "Messages" app on the home screen. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this or perhaps my voice mail is just hosed? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Update: Ive noticed I've been getting some weird text messages since getting this phone. So I finally returned it for a new on. Well find out over the next few days how the battery performs. But the new one has capacitive buttons that barely respond to touch.
