I have both Superuser, and SuperSU installed, apparently. I never like having two of the same task on things that touch root.. How do I correctly uninstall one of those without having an issue?

I just rooted my Verizon RAZR Maxx HD and when I tried to load Super User I got this message, "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
I have a Verizon RAZR Maxx HD and used Motochopper to root my phone.
How do I install or update SU binary?
It seems that I accidentally changed the ownership of the su file to "system, sdcard_rw" and now I have no way to change it back to "root, root". Everything was working fine beforehand. I have already attempted to reroot using the same way I originally rooted the device and hard reset with no luck.
My phone information
Phone: LG Optimus Slider
Android version: 2.3.4
Carrier: Virgin Mobile
rooted to drakaz's galaxo 1.6.3.4 , i noticed that everything is working as it should. but there is no safely remove icon in win 7 32 bit, in USB debugging mode, which earlier used to be in cupcake
another question, though not related to rooting ..i use EDGE GPRS and through dial up i can connect to internet using phone as modem in debugging mode. i see that there are some new app like wireless tether ..
can i make windows to connect without USB ?
I installed Superuser Permissions before the 2.1 software was released. I have wiped my phone twice and I still can't get the app to come off my phone. I also went to manage apps and the Uninstall button is not highlighted. I need to do a warranty claim too. I have been trying since March to find somewhere how to uninstall this.

How do you uninstall unwanted apps that were there when i got my optimus v. They use up unnecessary space on my phone and some of them run in the background so i just want to get rid of them but you cant uninstall them in the applications menu?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I load a new ROM and need to reinstall my apps there are usually a couple I don't want to install. Is there anyway to remove them from the "Not Installed" under "My Apps"? It seems like since I once downloaded and installed an app, it will always be there.
If I can't remove them, then I can't use the bulk install option and have to manually start all the installs.
Is there a way to remove the apps that you previously installed?

Does it means that if I grant a App SuperSU permission both at the install stage and later via the superSU rooted app, the app then have free hand to do anything on the device.I did a bit of research and ir does seem to be yhe case, wouldn't this be very dangerous to grant this permission to some less well know apps (ie not titanium backup calibre).
Although there is a separate permission for Internet access. Would an app with superSU be able to give itself stealth internet access and thus able to steal sensitive data over the net, or would I still be safe as long as the app dont ask for explicit internet permission.

I have rooted my phone and I'm using SuperSu. I noticed that every time I open an app that requires root, I get a little notification at the bottom of the screen that says root access granted. This happens anytime I open an app that requires root. Is it possible to disable these annoying notifications?

Now my device cannot un-root when I tried to but I want to get my old rooted device back I've been trying to root it again with my rooting program but nothing is working trying methods that I've seen on Youtube and various websites and now im just done. I really want my device to be fully rooted again but it just keeps giving me the same message even when I uninstall it and install it again, rebooting the device its hopeless...

Baseband version: 4.3 And to root my device I used the Saferoot program.
I just updated my SGS to 2.3.6 (JW4) with CF-Root. I've been using Root Browser since 2.3.5 (with Superuser) with no problems but since updating to 2.3.6 (with SuperSU), Root Browser does not get root permissions. For example I can read the system partition but cannot write to it (like deleting a file). Also if I click on a file on the system partition and check it's properties Root Browser does not show the permissions, it just display N/A.
- configured SuperSU to the default allow action instead of prompting me
- installed Superuser, don't launch it, just install to check if it could be a problem with Root Browser way of cheking for root by using the presence of superuser.apk
- uninstalled and reinstalled Root Browser
None of the above has solved my problem. All the other apps that require root work fine.
Confirm that Root Browser does indeed work with SuperSU 0.87?
I followed a guide to root my Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300) which used these files:
- odin3 v1.85
- CF-Root-SGS3-v6.1.tar
But when I try running the SuperSU app (installed automaticallly after rooting), I get the message:

And when I click OK, it gives the error:

I have a rooted galaxy S2 on stock with the SuperSU application. I updated the SuperSU application today and when I opened it, it advised me to update the binary. I selected the option to update the binary via CWM (as that's my recovery tool). My phone then tried to reboot but is now stuck on the splash screen, I have access to ODIN mode which currently says CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (1 counts) but no access to CWM.
I have a feeling I would need to flash the kernel but am not really sure what the best way to fix this is. If possible I would like to keep all my data intact.
I have htc evo 3d gsm v4.0.3 with hboot 1.53.0007 and i want root my phone , i never know how to root , i try to check some links on web reffering the methods to root, i see my people bricked their phones and there was no simple and easy to the root my phone.
