I just rooted my Verizon RAZR Maxx HD and when I tried to load Super User I got this message, "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"

I uninstalled my SuperSU app off of my rooted Galaxy S4; it happen of off a mistake I did playing around with my phone and now it says
" There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3(But im already updated to 4.3), you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device! ".
( I have the picture as an attachment). Now my device cannot un-root when I tried to but I want to get my old rooted device back I've been trying to root it again with my rooting program but nothing is working trying methods that I've seen on Youtube and various websites and now im just done. I really want my device to be fully rooted again but it just keeps giving me the same message even when I uninstall it and install it again, rebooting the device its hopeless...
Here is my device info.
Model #: SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 ( its AT&T)
Version: 4.3
Baseband version: 4.3 And to root my device I used the Saferoot program.
I followed a guide to root my Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300) which used these files:
- odin3 v1.85
- CF-Root-SGS3-v6.1.tar
But when I try running the SuperSU app (installed automaticallly after rooting), I get the message:

And when I click OK, it gives the error:

I have a rooted galaxy S2 on stock with the SuperSU application. I updated the SuperSU application today and when I opened it, it advised me to update the binary. I selected the option to update the binary via CWM (as that's my recovery tool). My phone then tried to reboot but is now stuck on the splash screen, I have access to ODIN mode which currently says CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (1 counts) but no access to CWM.
I have a feeling I would need to flash the kernel but am not really sure what the best way to fix this is. If possible I would like to keep all my data intact.
I have both Superuser, and SuperSU installed, apparently. I never like having two of the same task on things that touch root.. How do I correctly uninstall one of those without having an issue?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had cwm recovery rom running, but i did not install it. then i installed cyanogenmod. now recovery is cyanogenmod, but i want it to be cwm recovery.
when i boot into recovery, i get cyanogenmod. adb and fastboot commands do not seem to be working. like i cant switch to fastboot via adb reboot bootloader. (is that because i flashed the custom rom???)
google play is not installed yet either because adb and fastboot isnt working like it was before i flashed cyanogenmod. i was going to try to download the cwm rom manager again to install (permanently) cwm recovery rom.
So the phone is Samsung Galaxy Pocket. I installed a custom ROM. I didn't look at what bugs it had.
SD Card, Hotspot, Charging, WiFi, Bluetooth doesn't work. I have no clue what options are left for me to install a new ROM. It doesn't recognize my SD card. Odin doesn't recognize the phone. (drivers and everything for pc is fine, other phones work). I didn't make a backup or anything.
Super su always denied mybackup pro. I unistall/ install again supersu and mybackup pro too. But appears denied always...

Does it means that if I grant a App SuperSU permission both at the install stage and later via the superSU rooted app, the app then have free hand to do anything on the device.I did a bit of research and ir does seem to be yhe case, wouldn't this be very dangerous to grant this permission to some less well know apps (ie not titanium backup calibre).
Although there is a separate permission for Internet access. Would an app with superSU be able to give itself stealth internet access and thus able to steal sensitive data over the net, or would I still be safe as long as the app dont ask for explicit internet permission.

I have rooted my phone and I'm using SuperSu. I noticed that every time I open an app that requires root, I get a little notification at the bottom of the screen that says root access granted. This happens anytime I open an app that requires root. Is it possible to disable these annoying notifications?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use a Note 2, and was able to install apks perfectly fine until this afternoon, now i'm unable to click "install" , it isn't greyed out or anything. I know screen filter and similar apps have a bug which doesn't allow you to click install, so I disabled and uninstalled them just to be sure.
I'm on stock 4.1.2, no software updates of any sort in the last month,weird it suddenly stopped allowing me to install apks
Able to install apps from the play store otherwise.
Edit- Also rebooted several times, and tried installing apks i've installed before, no dice And I do have unknown sources checked.
I just updated my SGS to 2.3.6 (JW4) with CF-Root. I've been using Root Browser since 2.3.5 (with Superuser) with no problems but since updating to 2.3.6 (with SuperSU), Root Browser does not get root permissions. For example I can read the system partition but cannot write to it (like deleting a file). Also if I click on a file on the system partition and check it's properties Root Browser does not show the permissions, it just display N/A.
- configured SuperSU to the default allow action instead of prompting me
- installed Superuser, don't launch it, just install to check if it could be a problem with Root Browser way of cheking for root by using the presence of superuser.apk
- uninstalled and reinstalled Root Browser
None of the above has solved my problem. All the other apps that require root work fine.
Confirm that Root Browser does indeed work with SuperSU 0.87?
Finally did the 2.2 root (whew!) but i totally forgot to choose a ROM so i'm stuck now lol. Fresh seems to be easily updated and has workign wimax from what i read but it also is still capped at 30fps. just wondering if i can install an uncapped kernel later on or if it all has to be done at the same time.

I just noticed a OTA update (1.47.651.1) but I have Unrevoked installed on my phone for use with the Wireless Tether app.. Is it safe to apply this update or will it mess up the Unrevoked/Superuser access?
