I have not downloaded any new apps, and have hardly any apps that would take up battery life honestly. Any ideas on what to do? Or is it just time to go into Verizon and see what they say?

Like for iPad, they get extra operating current 1600mA, so with the original 500mA the iPad is charging by 2.1A, right from the USB port. Even Blackberry Z10 gets the same treatment!
Can we do a OSX-side kext mod for Android to specify the extra operating current, such that Android charge faster on Mac? As most devices can take at least 1A nowadays.
Are Android Composite loaded by /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOUSBCompositeDriver.kext ? How can I locate and modify the field for extra operating current?
I hope to build the kext mod and, in the future, to build a small utility app for users to specify the extra operating current for Android.
I am having problems with my battery dying ridiculous quick. So A) If I do a battery reset in recovery am I going to lose any information or does it just erase the battery memory like it says. B) Does that really do anything or is it just a myth?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI hadn't charged my Droid in two days (yep, still working with GPS and WiFi on), so I thought I'd see how the phone alerted me that the battery was almost dead. When the LED began to flash red, the screen lighted up showing the lock screen with a notification that the battery has less than 10% charge remaining.
However, the screen would not turn off. It stayed illuminated, even after I (briefly) pushed the power button.
If I had wanted to preserve battery power, my only choice was to completely power off the phone.
This is the only situation I've encountered when the screen doesn't shut off after a period of inactivity. Also the only instance when it doesn't shut off when the power button is pressed. And it's probably the only situation where one would want these actions to occur to prevent faster battery drainage.
What have others noticed when their battery is dying?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 2 batteries for my phone, both of which show the exact same problems. The battery drains very quickly on standby (8 hours or so). It drains when off and if I turn off my phone and remove the battery for about an hour, it loses 10-20% of the battery. A lot of people told me it had something to do with the wakelock or some app but that's not what it is. Wakelock is fine and with stock apps only it still drains way to quickly. Airplane mode doesn't work either. It charges exactly as fast as it drains too.

I did some testing and initially I thought the spare 1000mA adaptor I bought was at fault. I only got about 6% charge per 30 mins. But then I tried the same adaptor with my HTC cable, and it gave me 15% in 30 mins.So I want to buy a spare cable, but I don't know how to tell the difference. Anyone able to explain, or direct me to a cable?

At the top of my phone, on the status bar, there is a small icon of a red battery with a line through it. How did I start getting this notification and how do I get rid of it? Sometimes battery just drains out by 10% or so with just an eye blink! Battery details showed that it's staying awake (or something is making it stay awake) while in sleep. Tried using BetterBatteryStats to find the draining app. But just 'kworker' and 'admsrv (or something like this)' seemed to be the only problems. Tried flashing and/or factory resetting 5 or 6 times and still no improvement.
Battery of desire hd drains very fast even in the deep sleep. Tried every rom did full wipe turned off wifi gps etc tried every thing but no luck i tried current widget it not below 60 MA. Is it the problem of battery or the hardware? and when i switch to airplane mode amazingly it goes to 2 MA.

Im using the battery circle app to monitor my battery %. I have "calibrated" the battery by using the phone until it shuts it self off then charging it to 100% while its off then unplug it and turn it on and then plugging it back in.
Usually i will get between 15-19+ hours on normal use if i unplug it and plug it back up when it drops suddenly to 9-% in the mornings but if i dont ill get somewhere around 13 hours of life. is there something wrong with the phone, battery or charger?
I want to change the battery charging animation that lights up when the phone is charged while it is still switched-off. I have installed the "BAC lite" to change the boot animation. however, it does not support the change of battery animation.

So I figured the battery was done, for whatever reason, and I ordered a replacement battery from Verizon directly. The replacement battery also only charged to 50% after a full night's charge. So...it's probably an issue with the phone itself. I have Total Equipment Coverage but getting a new phone's a hassle and I like my Incredible 2 (not guaranteed to get another I imagine). I figure it might be the phone's "charging circuitry"...is that easily repairable? I need to have a fully-charging phone in a week or so...

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Motorola Droid has been working fine until yesterday. Now it is very slow, keeps forcing close and my battery keeps dying. I noticed it starting happening after getting a couple of apps updates yesterday (for a shopping list app and anti-virus app). Don't know if that is a coincidence or if it has something to do with it.I also have the sync symbol up in the toolbar by the battery, 3G symbol, etc and I don't recall it being there before the problems either. I turned off auto sync but this did not help.
