A random warning message occassionally pops up on my samsung galaxy fascinate. It says: "Warning: Battery is losing charge too fast. Tap here to download and fix now". At the top of my phone, on the status bar, there is a small icon of a red battery with a line through it. How did I start getting this notification and how do I get rid of it? It's like a spyware or something, I think.

When I get up in the morning and take my phone off the charger it's at 100%. Within an hour or 2, it's at around 85% with little to no phone usage of any kind. Wi fi, 4g, gps and all that stuff is always off. Has anyone else experienced this with their Evo? I apologize if there is already a thread on this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a Droid X2 for almost 2 years, and as phones usually do, the battery life became pretty bad. It would get to 5% and then quickly die halfway through the day.
I purchased a new battery, and found it to be just as bad (supposedly). It would be down to 5% by noon without much usage, so I thought maybe the problem was with my phone and not an old battery. I'd just turn it off or try to find a charger...
It took me a few days to realize that it lasts hours past when it gets to 5%. HOURS. It reached 5% at about 1pm EST today, I used it my whole commute home on the train, made a two 5-10 minute phone calls this evening, and now past 9pm it still hasn't died.
So, it's not the battery. It's not the worst problem to have... but it would be really nice to know how much battery I have left.
Note: I rooted my phone about 1 week before I got the new battery.
Is there any way to change the low battery warning notification? I want to change the message to a funny way.
As on iPhone, they can customize it likes this:
I looked around the web and found a few solutions, one is to delete/rename the LowBattery.ogg file - this removes the noise but keeps the pop up.
Another solution is to get Sound Manager here: [URL]
And set System Volume down to zero, but I don't know what the risks are of doing that - it sounds rather overkill to set it to zero just for one thing, and what other sounds are linked to the system volume?
Any way to completely stop the popup from coming up? I know it's there to remind me to recharge, but it's just so disruptive if I'm near the end of whatever I'm doing and it just pops up, even when I have the full intention to recharge it in a few minutes.
What's the best way to determine why all of a sudden my battery is losing it's charge more quickly than normal? I checked battery usage in settings and everything seems reasonable. I can't think of a newly installed app that might be causing it. (HTC Rezound, ICS) ADR6425LVW

I plug my phone in overnight and at some point in the middle of the night an error occurs that make the phone think it is off the charger and has a fully depleted battery. The battery level icon shows no charge and if I pull the phone off the charger it immediately says it has to shut down due to a low battery. However, as soon as I turn it back on it is back to normal with a full charge.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI have 2 batteries for my phone, both of which show the exact same problems. The battery drains very quickly on standby (8 hours or so). It drains when off and if I turn off my phone and remove the battery for about an hour, it loses 10-20% of the battery. A lot of people told me it had something to do with the wakelock or some app but that's not what it is. Wakelock is fine and with stock apps only it still drains way to quickly. Airplane mode doesn't work either. It charges exactly as fast as it drains too.

I know its "slower charge" because the computer also allows data transfer and mounting of the sd card, but maybe theres a possible way to shut that off? I have had my Note 2 since last spring, I noticed in September that when using my original charge cord (plugged to wall) it would only charge when held in certain angles and very slow, I couldn't use while charging as it would drain it. I tried using my boyfriends nexus charger and that seemed to work. It was still slow but at least I didn't have to be constantly moved to certain angles (still discharged if used while on charger though).
If I plug my phone in at night (let's say at 14% battery life) by morning, over 8 hrs later, it's only at 60 % and then drains completely in 4-5 hours, while I'm at work and not even using it, if I'm using it it goes down 2% a minute.
This is getting so frustrating, I have no clue what's wrong. I've done a factory reset and nothing changed. If I use a universal docking station my phone actually charges very quick, at a normal speed. I'm not sure if it's the battery, usb port, or charger!
I am using xperia p with stock JB (unrooted). I have to charge it twice a day without even any significant use.
Sometimes battery just drains out by 10% or so with just an eye blink! Battery details showed that it's staying awake (or something is making it stay awake) while in sleep. Tried using BetterBatteryStats to find the draining app. But just 'kworker' and 'admsrv (or something like this)' seemed to be the only problems. Tried flashing and/or factory resetting 5 or 6 times and still no improvement.
Battery of desire hd drains very fast even in the deep sleep. Tried every rom did full wipe turned off wifi gps etc tried every thing but no luck i tried current widget it not below 60 MA. Is it the problem of battery or the hardware? and when i switch to airplane mode amazingly it goes to 2 MA.

Nothing fancy, no estimation of remaining battery life nor fancy eye candy. If it can show a more precise reading than the Milestone built-in one, which only decreases in 10% intervals, fine, but only if this isn't a drain on the battery. I know there are several such apps, but which do you think is the best for my needs? There are so many it's hard to try them all and choose. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a hdc mtk 6572 and I recently bought the battery from the original s4 in Phonehouse, the problem I have is that the phone is not charging the battery to 100% bone phone reaches 100% charge but really this half of its capacity because when the phone is 100% you remove the battery and put it into a unique and puts s4 having 50%.
What I have tried is to remove the battery batterystats.bin being 100% real (loaded with original s4) I have also tried an app which detects that the battery is 1000mAh (in the original 2600mAh s4 the detected so is no battery problem) this app it says you can modify the kernel mAh (which I do not think). The application is Battery Monitor Widget Pro
To summarize a bit, the phone does not detect the original 2600mAh battery so no load to 100%.
