When I put it on I realized that it did not come with the antenna attached to the housing. When I put the new housing on, it looked great, but I had no reception. Looks like 3 stickers. I have looked all over and cant find them. Any idea where I could buy one?

I finally caught a break yesterday and had the housing replaced on my Hero. I went to the local sprint store a few weeks ago and asked if they could fix my phone. The chrome piece around the charger area had broken away and the aluminum keypad was peeling away around the keys. The store manager said they try to help as much as possible, and would make small repairs, but didn't have any returned Hero's in the inventory. I was as polite as possible and asked if I could call him back and see if any come in within the next few months. He said sure, perhaps thinking I wouldn't follow up.
So yesterday, I dropped in and asked a sales associate if they could repair. I kept the Store Manager's card, telling them that he gave the ok to repair if there were Hero housings in stock. So, BAM, they replaced everything in 1 hour and I now have a new-ish feeling phone!
I'm eligible for an upgrade, but no way I'm buying up with the current crop of phones. Not worth the $200 plus 4G fees.
For the past 3 days, everytime someone sends me a text with an attached picture it will not show up. It now shows a box that says download and when I push the download button it doesnt do anything. Before the pic or video would show up, all I had to do was hit the play button and I could view the pic or video.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago, all the sudden I couldnt recieve any attached pictures sent to me through text messages. I thought that maybe it was an application that may have caused this so i did a factory reset and installed only minimal apps that I use regularly. It fixed the problem and worked fine right after so I thought maybe that was it. Now after about 3 weeks or so, I am not getting attached pics in text messages again. I have not downloaded any apps either. When someone sends me a pic it will say who its from, the message size which ALWAYS says 6KB, and the expiration date. It will show a download box on the top right of the message abd when i push it, it will say downloading, then I will get a notification saying that the download was unsuccessful. What could be the cause of this?? I would hate to have to do a factory reset every 3-4 weeks to address this problem.

My wife and I were given Heroes to hold us over for two weeks until the Evo launch.I'm noticing that i'm having reception issues in areas where my iphone, and Incredible got decent to great coverage.Is this an issue with the Hero alone or a sign of Sprints smaller footprint then AT&T and Verizon?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen my hero was on 1.5, normal stereo headphones attached worked a-ok if I used the toggleheadset app. Now I have upgraded to 2.1, when I attach the headphones it automatically detects them but sends the volume down to vibrate... if I try to increase the volume using the volume switch it either tries to increase but forces it back down again or shoots up to maximum... Anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it? I have removed the toggle app above, and I have restarted the phone. Also, when I attached the headphones sometimes the phone just goes into vibrate mode and stays that way... i.e. it just continoulsy vibrates until I press the home key.

I bought am SGS off eBay, and despite it supposedly being in "as new" condition, it appears to have been dropped more time than Jordan's knickers, resulting in numerous dents and bashes...so not really "as new" afterall
Apparently I can't do anything about this through eBay, so I need to keep the phone, so really just trying to restore it to a good condition. Does anyone know where I might be able to get an official SGS housing? I've searched all over but have had no joy so far!
The gap between the screen and housing, particularly at the bottom, seems to be pretty wide on my phone. i notice at night that light shines through that gap. Can't tell if the gap has gotten any wider. Just wondering if anyone else notices something similar. Seems like a great place for dust to enter the screen. Especially if light can come through there. Doesn't mean it's not sealed, but obviously it's not a super tight fit.

Any idea where I can buy a replacement housing for my Galaxy. Works fine but an accident had left it scratched up and missing the charger port cover. So basically I want to fit a whole new shell on the thing. Screen is scratch-free, but battery cover scratched up and the bit of plastic holding the charger flap snapped so it will need a whole shell. Looked everywhere! An online Samsung repair place wants me to send it in but can't give me a price.

I want to use a telescoping antenna for it for portability, but I'm open to using something like the Wilson Electronics mirror mount antenna.Has anyone done this? This is a general Verizon/FME question, but since I have a Dinc, I thought I'd post it here. I'm going to drill a hole in the back cover and route the cable to the top of the phone. I live in a weak signal area and drop about 10% of my calls.
View 36 Replies View Relatedafter installing 2.2 on my hero, everything was working fine, until now. im having problems with my text messages, they wont send under sprints network, if i put it in roaming then they send right away, but roaming has awefully slow (1x) network speeds, but if i put it back to the 3g network speeds of sprint then everytime i try to send a text it just swirls in circles (the little thing next to the message) and wont send. is this sprints network being down? or does this have to do with the 2.2 update?i dont think its sprint because my mom and sister arent having any problems with there phones from the same plan. but i tryed restarting many times, taking out and leaving out the battery, putting it in airplane mode and turning that back off to reset connection, iv tryed everything and cant get it to work, so idk what to do, and i dont understand why if it was a software problem with the 2.2 installation, why would they send in roaming but not on sprints network?

If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

Have any of you tried any passive antenna boosters, like this one: HTC Desire Antenna Booster ? Or some bigger boosters that I can place on my desk.
I love my phone, but it is essential that I can use it while im in the office.
Just came from twitter where HTCPedia had this article about the black, yellow and red insides of new phones. and they said the antenna was located on the back of the battery door and if you had it off you would have no signal haha im just a little amused i guess by that because i dont really understand how this works i mean if it doesnt connect somehow when the door is on and im a little worried the signal might not be the best what if the battery door gets loose or something idk what do you guys think From Black to Yellow and Red. View 1 Replies View RelatedHoping I just did something stupid, rooted my old eris, played around with xtrsense for a while and it sat in a drawer for even longer since I typically carry the Dinc....well then I wanted to try a froyo rom on it so downloaded and installed KaosFroyo on it, then I got sidetracked and it sat in the drawer again until I wanted to use it at work to test lotus traveler on android and here is where the fun starts. The Eris won't activate, its like the radio will not even turn on. The signal bars just have a little x by them, no matter what rom I throw on there or nand backup I use its like the radio is borked? Any ideas on how to fix? am I missing a radio update from somewhere? then fail #2 I can't find my password to download the android traveler beta now anyway...grrI just tried flashing a different radio still doing the same thing. I'm confused
