HTC : Has Anyone Changed Their Housing On Their Magic
Oct 24, 2009Like the title says folks... has anyone tried changing the housing on their Magic's?
I've seen a gorgeous pink full housing for the magic and was wondering how easy(or hard) it would be to change. I can't find any vid's for it and wondered if anyone had done it themselves?
Sprint HTC Hero : New Housing On My Phone
Oct 16, 2010I finally caught a break yesterday and had the housing replaced on my Hero. I went to the local sprint store a few weeks ago and asked if they could fix my phone. The chrome piece around the charger area had broken away and the aluminum keypad was peeling away around the keys. The store manager said they try to help as much as possible, and would make small repairs, but didn't have any returned Hero's in the inventory. I was as polite as possible and asked if I could call him back and see if any come in within the next few months. He said sure, perhaps thinking I wouldn't follow up.
So yesterday, I dropped in and asked a sales associate if they could repair. I kept the Store Manager's card, telling them that he gave the ok to repair if there were Hero housings in stock. So, BAM, they replaced everything in 1 hour and I now have a new-ish feeling phone!
I'm eligible for an upgrade, but no way I'm buying up with the current crop of phones. Not worth the $200 plus 4G fees.
Samsung Galaxy S : Replacement - Get An Official SGS Housing?
Aug 20, 2010I bought am SGS off eBay, and despite it supposedly being in "as new" condition, it appears to have been dropped more time than Jordan's knickers, resulting in numerous dents and bashes...so not really "as new" afterall
Apparently I can't do anything about this through eBay, so I need to keep the phone, so really just trying to restore it to a good condition. Does anyone know where I might be able to get an official SGS housing? I've searched all over but have had no joy so far!
Sprint HTC : Hero Housing Did Not Come With Antenna Attached
Apr 27, 2010When I put it on I realized that it did not come with the antenna attached to the housing. When I put the new housing on, it looked great, but I had no reception. Looks like 3 stickers. I have looked all over and cant find them. Any idea where I could buy one?

Mar 6, 2010The gap between the screen and housing, particularly at the bottom, seems to be pretty wide on my phone. i notice at night that light shines through that gap. Can't tell if the gap has gotten any wider. Just wondering if anyone else notices something similar. Seems like a great place for dust to enter the screen. Especially if light can come through there. Doesn't mean it's not sealed, but obviously it's not a super tight fit.

Samsung I7500 : Replacement Housing For My Galaxy - Battery Cover Scratched Up?
Apr 14, 2010Any idea where I can buy a replacement housing for my Galaxy. Works fine but an accident had left it scratched up and missing the charger port cover. So basically I want to fit a whole new shell on the thing. Screen is scratch-free, but battery cover scratched up and the bit of plastic holding the charger flap snapped so it will need a whole shell. Looked everywhere! An online Samsung repair place wants me to send it in but can't give me a price.

Oct 4, 2010Has everyone seen that you can change the LCD density on the Desire? (Well, on all Android handsets really). It simulates a higher resolution, fits more text on screen etc. There's an app on the market which does it, although it won't work on the Desire unless you're S-OFF. All you need to do is extract the build.prop file from /system to your PC (in recovery, use ADB PULL), and using a text editor change the value of LCD Density from original 240 to 200, then ADB push it back and reboot. I'm *really* pleased with the result. Combined with Launcher Pro I've a whole new feel to my phone...

I've tried Handcent and got a blue light for SMS delivery, so clearly it is possible, so why can't any other notification app make use of the other colours? May 28, 2010I set a tone when I first got the phone (created the media/notifications folder, put my mp3 in, selected it in the menu.) Well I added some more yesterday, went in a changed it to one of those, but it still played my old tone. Apr 14, 2010Is it possible to change the headset and still use fm-radio? I really need to use in-ear headset, just cant bare with the other one, my ear hurt like hell after a while. The headset with the samsung galaxy i7500 was perfect, could use them all day with no problems. I know i can use webradio but i havent had to good experience of webradio so far, still think fm-radio perform flawless for the most part.

Oct 31, 2010Is there a way to change the stock keyboard to one like the iPhones? I've gotten very used to the iPhones keyboard and I absolutely hate the DHD's. How do I get Arabic keyboard? It's not in the settings. Is there a way for me to delete stock apps that come with the phone but don't have a delete option? Is there a way to have calendar events show up on the lock screen?
