HTC Hero :: Calendar No Longer Sending Me Notifications Of Events / Solution For This?
Nov 13, 2009I'm having an issue with the calendar no longer sending me notifications of my events. At the beginning of the quarter (~25 September), it had no problems informing me of my events. Sometime around October however, it ceased to do this and I fear it may be affecting some of the conditions of my other application, Locale. Has anyone else had this problem, or know a solution?

Oct 15, 2009So when sending text messages, I get the following message every single time i press 'send'
"com.android.mms A large number of text SMS messages are being sent. Select 'ok' to send"
So.....I did send out 100+ messages within like 5 minutes...just sending out a mass txt message letting people know of my new number. So is this Androids way of anti-spam?
I need a way to turn it off, because now I have to make this extra step every single time i send a text message

Oct 24, 2009I think I'm experiencing my first real problem with my Hero. I've noticed that my wife (and who knows who else) hasn't been getting my txts when I send them... Sometimes it takes a full day for her to get them. Email has been delayed the past couple days, too. Items will sit in the outbox for hours and when I pull them up, there's red text saying it's sending..." This happens whether I'm connected to WiFi or just using the mobile radio. 2 bars or 5 bars, it doesn't seem to matter.

May 22, 2010I did the 2.1 upgrade and camera seems to have same lagginess. Does anyone have any pointers for how to set camera for responsive pics (I have a 2 year old)? I remember seeing some tips when I first got the phone last year and it helped...I'm having no luck my own. Also, when I go to send a pic with text, it is compressing the pics very small and the quality goes to crap. Went into text setting and set the file size to the largest, but it doesn't seem to help.

Jul 27, 2010My sprint HTC hero for some reason will all the sudden stop allowing me to get text messages and mine that I send don't seem to reach the phone I am sending it to. It will stop working out of the blue and start back up. The only reason I know that it stops is because the person I am texting shows me that they never received a message from me and I never got one from them. My phone does not tell me I cant receive or send it just stops and I never know. When it starts working again it does not ever send the messages I didn't receive.

All of my contacts numbers and in 10 digits example: 123 - 456 - 7890 this only happens with certain contacts but I don't see what the issue is. Does anyone else get this issue or know how to fix it?
HTC Desire :: Sending Text - Can't Figure Out If Sending A Message Via Facebook Or To Mobile Number
Jun 24, 2010I have a friend who is added to my Desire's contact list.
1. He is on my Facebook contact. (His facebook pic appears in my Desire contact list)
2. He is my Gmail contact as well.
3. He is added as a 'Phone Contact' as well.
I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.

I was able to find the voice client (sound for the video) but not the actual video recorder. There is no link in the menu button to adjust the total seconds of buffering. Is there a back door way to increase the buffer amount to help get better playback of Vcast?

Jul 24, 2010I lowered my resolution to VGA and i was actually able to send the video message but it took forever (and it was only a 6 second video) and then i got a text back saying that my friends phone couldnt support the file or somethin.He just got a Droid X so I dont see why it would say that and he has unlimited data.Anybody else having problems sending video messages?

Oct 16, 2010Im having an issue sending a video on my incredible. i dont understand whats going on and i dont think im doing something wrong but who knows...
I went into camcorder, changed everything to defult. i changed the resolution to the 640 and was able to send up two a 2 second video. then i went to the lowest resolution which was like 320 or whatever and was able to send up to a 5 second video. thats about it... i sat on the phone with verizon maybe...2 hours? THEY could not figure it out. they said they has to borrow another verizon enployee's phone to mess with it and she kept getting the same issue saying the file is two large. its set for 30 seconds, then 20 seconds, 15, 10, all of them will not work over 5 seconds of a video to send. they said they dont understand why there is nothing in the settings saying switch to mms or sms or something and contacting someone to update that asap because it made no sence to them. i dont understand this and its getting annoying.
So then, i tried downloading some app called youcast or whatever, and it kind of worked. it says it bypasses the size limit or whatever. i sent a video to my friend and it says he got it, but needs to download the app first to view it. im waiting to hear from him if he downloads it and is able to view it. but that still sucks because what if you dont have an android? then youcast wont work.
And not only is this issue with me, but 6 of my friends with the htc incredible are not able to send videos either after they messed around with it all.
So my questions are...
Is there any other apps out there like youcast that might work or be better too?
My settings right now on camcorder are...
white balance: auto
resolution: QVGA(320x240) and i tried switching around between that all the way to 720p(1280x720)
storagehone storage and i have switched to storage card
encoding type MPEG4
Recording Limit: 30 seconds. again i tried all other settings.

There doesn't appear to be any settings to deal with this.

Apr 10, 2010I tried to send a video using gmail, I couldn't do it, it said file to big or something like that. It was only like 20 seconds long. I really like this phone but it seems to be really limited when it comes to MMS or sending video's whether its email or MMS. My sister has verizon (and I do to) when she sends me text or MMS and adds a smiley face it modifies the msg and she gets a msg back saying my phone dont support enhanced msg. wtf? My razr really did better when it came to mms. There has to be something not adjusted right on this phone.

Android :: Text Longer Than Available Space / How To Get Remaining Lines?
Sep 24, 2010I have a long text and I want it to be displayed with a TextView. The text I have is much longer than the available space. However I don't want to use scrolling, but ViewFlipper to flip to the next page. How can I retrieve the lines from the first TextView that are not shown because the view is to short so that I can paste them into the next TextView?

HTC Incredible :: LED To Flash Longer After Receiving Text / Email
Aug 1, 2010there was any way to get the LED to flash longer after receiving a text/email/etc. It seems to only go for maybe 10 minutes after the notification is received. Also, did anyone else have any trouble setting up the email on the phone? I have tried to set it and it won't recognize my account.
