so every time i go online to try to watch a video, it goes into the streaming video player or w/e and it says; Cannot play video sorry, this video cannot be played.okay well some might think that my phone cant play this video, but no, their wrong because like last week it was working, same site and everything.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 on 4.2.2 with Nova Launcher and just recently after disabling apps, etc. my Video player app no longer opens. I press it and it freezes for 15 seconds and says unfortunately it has stopped working. On top of that every time I delete a contact, it deletes the contact but gives me a message like "android.process.acore" had stopped working and exits the contacts app.
I've tried enabling any potential function that I may have disabled to have that issue and no luck. I also cleared cache and data of the contacts list and contacts storage but no luck. I honestly do not want to format data as I have already done it 3 times prior to this issue and it is tedious. EDIT: Fixed video player by enabling picasa uploader and cloud Agent. Still no luck with the error message after deleting contact.
How do I play a video? e.g. MPEG4. I can't find a video player app or am I missing something obvious?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi've tried out all the radios to test out which is the best for me..and i devided on the one that was based off the verizon radio..so i got an error message saying "You must be a Sprint Customer to use this feature" so i changed to the newest radio out 2.42.01.04.27 and i still get the same issue..what could it be?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently gone through all my songs and using mp3tag (PC software for tagging music files) I've tagged my songs, ie band name, album, album art work. I've checked in winamp and itunes and all the information is the same everywhere. All except the Hero phone. When I've transferred all my songs to the SD card most of them show up correctly, with right name, album, art work but around a quarter of them come up under "unknown" album. Does anyone know why this might be or how I can make the Hero player recognise the artist/album names?

They activated the phones for us and than told us that it should only be 30 minutes before our phones were on but could take up to 24 hours. its been about 15-16 hours and was wondering if it takes everyone this long?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a new 8gb memory card and want to dump a bunch of music to my Hero, but the music player seems lacking in many respects (functionally) despite looking nice (aesthetically). Has anyone tried other players that both work well and look stylish? sidenote - I was unable to format my memory card with it plugged into my network printer due to not having an adapter, but when the card is mounted and the hero is connected through usb it is reported as FAT32 in the open window. Do I need to worry about formatting? I wasn't sure if there would be any performance gain by doing so. Its a Transcend 8gb class 6.

But I digress- I'm having 1 problem in particular and after reading up on forums, and numerous google searches I've reached the end. I concede!Whenever I'm using my hero to play music in the stock player (and I believe Last.FM too) & I receive a notification- be it IM, text, email or anything else- my phone remains silenced after the notification is over. So I'll get a text, the phone will silence my music to play the notification (short beeps, long beeps, full ringtones,) I'll check the notification & my music player still remains silenced (edit: while its still playing- & when I hit play it continues where it was paused @ not where I was last listening to it.) I have to pause & replay whatever song is on or wait for Last.FM to move to the next song or skip the last song to hear anything. This is happening no matter how I'm listening. Cabled headphones, bluetooth stereo headphones, the speaker.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use the bluetooth audio in my truck on my drive to and from every work every day with Iheartradio on. Every time I receive a call when I hang up my phone automatically starts the music player and just starts playing songs. It's extremely annoying. I even deleted all my music off the phone hoping this would stop it, and now it just plays ring tones. I've used an app killer, etc. and it still does it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that the stock music player isn't very good at shuffling music? I have my playlist set up, and want it to shuffle while I'm listening at work. It will shuffle, but the problem is that it won't play all the songs on my playlist. I have about 500 on this particular playlist, and in an 8 hour day I will hear the same song 3 or 4 times. In the 3 weeks I've been using it at work, there are some songs that I have *NVER* had come up on the shuffle. I tried turning on just shuffle and not repeat, but same thing. Is there a fix for this, or does anyone have recommendations on a music player that I can download that is better?
** Clarificaion: By "recommendation" I mean more than "Get Product X, it's cool". Why is it "cool"? What makes it better than the other products?
I notice that if I use bluetooth headphones, I can only use them with the default music player, which is a big drag since it kind of blows. If I delete the music player in the adb shell, will that fix the problem so I can use a different music app?

I will get a triangle in my notification bar, open it and the music player is running and listed as ongoing. There is no stop button, only pause, and apparently backing out of the app does not turn it off. Should I look into a task killer for this?

The so called "default video player" has been uninstalled though. Have cleared cache, clear defaults, clear data for the browser but still do not get a prompt to choose a video player while playing videos from the browser.
Also installed the "Default App Manager" to check for the default video player. However, it indicates no defaults to play any videos (either from file or streaming videos).
(If I play a stored video from phone or SD card, I do get the prompt to choose a video player. But do not get a prompt if playing any video in the browser.)

You will need to flash an extra file, but you can now run your rooted hero at 528 (or slower if you prefer)

I didn't have anything to do with this, and I didn't find this link, I just posted it from my old thread about the overclock widget (thanks to whoever found this). I figured that people who don't check xda regularly (like myself) might want a heads up, so here you go.
All, I rooted my phone today for 2.1, and it's working great. I removed most of the crap sprint applications I didn't want (including their music player). Only issue I have is I seem to have lost the ability to set an mp3 as the ringtone. I do have some mp3's in the /media/audio/ringtones folder, but they don't show up in the ringtones list.

I found that 9/24 nightly made things lag when you have the music player running. i've never experienced so much lag until I used my music player. Just a heads up. Great battery life. Was charged at 67 last night and woke up this morning and I'm at 16 percent and the Battery Info says it's been off the charger for 12 hours. Imagine if I was at 100 percent instead of 67. That's with the collins battery tweak with kernal 14
9/13 didn't give me a lot of freezes and restarts, but lately it started. I'm assuming this is because of jit maybe?
As a previous thread I made, the latest nightlys give you the ability to "swipe" your individual notifications instead of just pushing the "clear all" button. nice addition.
