Feb 3, 2010Whenever I try to log into my youtube account on my Droid, it freezes up. I will open the Youtube app, press menu and click My account. Then it has 2 choices: 1) My email address, 2) Add account. When I click on my email it freezes up and eventually the Droid gives me the option to "Force close" it, as it is not responding. I also tried "Add account" and typed in my email address (which had already shown up as the first choice) and password, and it said "authenticating" and then froze up too.

Mar 24, 2010I'll be on my phone browsing through the net, on my apps etc. Then once I get back to my home screen all of a sudden my screen freezes and the "HTC screen" pops up (same screen when you reboot your phone) and then I will have to wait a minute or two for everything to load up again. I've had my hero since January and this problem recently just began last week. It happens quite often and it's really irritating. I always clear my cache/data/history. Could it perhaps be some of the applications I downloaded from the market causing this?

Jun 7, 2010Yesterday my HTC Hero frooze up as I was looking through the AP News app. I tried pressing the power and return buttons to get out of it but it wouldn't respond. I ended up letting the battery to dead and then plugged it back in to power up again, allowing the phone to reboot.

Feb 24, 2010I rooted a friends phone and when I try to get to the recovery reboot screen it freezes on the HTC screen, I have to remove the battery and boot normally, and it works just fine. I have rooted two other hero's with no problems. I've tried a wipe and doing the process over again and the same thing happened.

May 14, 2013Just this night I've been using my sdcard in a normal way, browsing internet, downloading files when suddenly my phone couldn't boot after flashing bootanimation (zip made by trusted developer so that's not the problem). Now when I connect my SD Card to the phone it will either say "preparing sdcard" forever or just simply freeze phone after few seconds. I tryed to connect it via working adapter with my PC to back it up... After copying few files sdcards unmounts from the reader... I've tryed on XP and it shows some command errors while trying to copy files in a regular way. I was ONCE able to flash few zips via recovery in order to make my phone boot up again it worked. Now I'm scanning my SD Card using Norton Internet security 2013 - Paid version - not cracked, and the sdcard seems to stay mounted to the PC. Unfortunately after trying to copy files from SD Card to PC it just freezes explorer.exe and unmounts itself...
I really have some important pictures on this sd card
PS. 32 GB SanDisk Class 10 UHS-I (grey and red one)
PS. 2 I was using swap partition, maybe my sdcard went dead from constant reads and writes?
PS. 3 Using linux I managed to copy 81 MB... then any copying froze but ubuntu didn't...

Nov 8, 2009Ok when I download or upload my music from a cd, the album artwork never shows up in itunes for me. So I usually have to manually copy album Pics from the net and paste them in the info section. However my hero either doesn't show the artwork or replaces my pic with some other random artwork pic. Anyone experience this and know how to fix this?

Feb 27, 2010I have a rooted HTC Hero (Sprint), Fresh, Gumbo Kernel that runs wonderfully. Lateley however, my phone is not reading my sd card. Im unaware of the class, but it is an 8gb scan disk minisd. It has worked for over a year. I try to copy my information onto my desktop to reformat the sd, but it stops in the middle of the transfer. Jul 31, 2010So, I was having problems with my Hero not playing videos that were on the sd card, also having problems playing videos on the youtube app. So, I did a nand restore. I also did the restore because my phone was being laggy after installing the DB-OC kernel to speed up the phone. So, I nand restored back to before I flashed the kernel. So it is now running Aloysius 2.1 LWP non-OC. But, now all of a sudden my phone wont register my SD Card, at all. I run Dark Tremor app2sd, and can use some of my apps, while others just force close, or hang. I shut my phone off, and put in a different SD Card, to see if the phone was not registering it, instead of it being the card itself. The phone didn't register the other card.
So, I put in my original sd card after turning the phone off again, and it still isn't registering, and is force closing many apps. Does anyone know what to do in order to fix this? I have no idea why it even started having this problem registering the sd card, as it was reading it just fine earlier. I would do a complete wipe of the phone, and sd card, but am not sure if that will make the phone register the sd card again. When I put my sd card into my laptop, the laptop read it just fine. Please, someone, help me fix this problem! Should I wipe the phone, and sd card, and repartition the card? Or should I boot into recovery and select "wipe data/factory reset"+"wipe dalvik-cache"+"wipe SD:ext partition"?

Apr 6, 2010So I've tried and tried again using RA and other linux based programs (GParted) to get my 8GB card to partition for apps2sd. Everything always runs smoothly and shows that the card is partitioned correctly. But then upon reboot the SD card shows full fat32 memory (6.9 GB). No matter what I do, after reboot, the partitions never happen. When I used GParted, and then loaded the SD card on the phone it always says that the SD card is damaged and I need to reformat. I've done that and rerun everything to no avail. Someone please tell me this issue is that the SD card is corrupted and I should give up. Because I've followed everything to a T as far as partitioning. With that I'll say that I had no problems rooting my phone, flashing ROM's/RA's, etc, and have been able to do whatever I want as far as new things to load. I've finally decided after all this time to do apps2sd, and I literally screwed around for 5+ hrs today, trying to partition the SD card properly. Any thoughts?

Apr 23, 2010So I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?
