View 3 RepliesOk so I rooted my phone and installed SuperUser and Titanium Backup (paid version). My main reason was to free up some space.I clear the cache almost daily, am using just a few apps and have deleted anything that would actually make the phone any fun (like cool widgets or useful yet non-basic apps. I have no games on it. I have googled "how to move apps to SD with Titanium Backup" dozens of times in the past month and read that it's under "batch options" a thousand times. However, for the life of me I can NOT see an option under the 4th section "Move/Integrate" for anything remotely related to MOVING APPS TO SD. The only thing it shows on that category is "Integrate updates of system apps into ROM".
I have a huge external SD plugged in where ALL my pictures, screenshots, downloads, music and videos are stored. The external SD is not even half full. Yet, my 4.44GB internal memory is filled nearly to capacity with only 274MB free.
I constantly get the STORAGE SPACE RUNNING LOW message and my available space is invariably under 380MB.
WHAT CAN I DO??? I'm about to give up on Android alltogether.
I'm running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and the main apps I'm using which I think take up the most space are GMail, Whatsapp, Google Maps, Androind Weather and Camera360.
I just go my Sprint Hero on Sunday and it rocks! What's the must have Apps? Music? Sirius satellite radio? Photos? Also, my screen sometimes doesn't turn when I move the phone horizontally.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNew to android and currently working out what phone to get. I'm on WinMo at the moment and use bluetooth tethering (more correctly termed Bluetooth PAN) on a daily basis with a laptop on my commute to work. I am reading in various places that Andoid does not support BT PAN? Surely this can't be true, its been on WinMo devices for the past 5 years! I'm not interested in WiFi tethering - it consumes too much battery. Bluetooth is the best solution or this having been designed for mobile use, and its 3MBit bandwidth is plenty fast enough.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe native android player doesn't support .m3u playlists. A Online Radio, DroidLive, and StreamFurious all support .m3u playlists, but they are intended for streaming radio, not playing your own playlists. Because of this there is no next song or previous song functionality, which is pretty important for me. Anyone know a program that can do this?

Does Google have a plan?
There are a number of android file hosts such as goo.im, androidfilehost, and lets not forget XDA itself.
These sites are crucial for Android's success, as without them dev support would die. Yet these sites rely on user donations and frequently the site admins own pocket. I donate when I can because of the importance. But the amount they ask for is not much, it wouldn't even matter to Google, and they are the company who should be most concerned about Android.
Is it a conflict of interest thing?
I hate it when i am switching between home screens and the background moves i just want to set a background that doesn't move? can i do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I make it so that my application is seen on the Android Market only by devices with mdpi and hdpi densities. There is the <supports-screens> tag and there is the anyDensity parameter but I don't see how I can say what I want. If I set anyDensity to false, what does that mean? Where do I specify which densities I do support?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen applying an alpha value to an imageview, Eclipse displays the view accurately in layout mode. But when exporting to a target device (such as a phone), the alpha appears to be ignored. This impacts developers trying to create fade ins/outs of elements in a widget. Has anyone else come across this issue yet? Not sure if this behavior is by design or by error.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android. I recently was an iPhone fan but thought that Android was a better alternative to iPhone. So anyway, I have a few questions about the Captivate. Does Android have support for apps that you can use to password protect certain apps on the phone? Like messages, and photos for more private stuff. Another question I have: is the Captivates reception really bad? I currently have the iPhone 4 while it doesn't have the best of signal, its not too bad either. And my last question is if the captivate has support for 32gb cards. I'm sorry if someones already gone over these but I could find anything right away. Anyways, I look forward to Android and the Captivate.

Does the i7500 actually have a FM radio? I've read quite a few reviews on the net and there seems to be slight confusion by reviewers weather or not it has one. Some say yes others say no! Is it a case that the hardware is there, but android doesn't support it yet?
View 6 Replies View Relatedwhy does this phone say it can support WMA/WMV when it does not.I see it posted as the phones specs on all websites that gives the specs for this phone. Does this have to do the fact that the crappy 1.5 OS doesnt support it? Will 2.1 support those files? It also says mp4, but I tried that and it also doesnt work??? Has anybody else have any luck with these file formats? I remember my G1 could play these so why the flip can't a newer android phone?????

View 9 Replies View RelatedI didn't sync my contacts to gmail on my Instinct bc I've always just used Sprint's mobile sync. Contacts were automatically saved on the network, so when you bought a new phone or whatever, they could just send the contacts to your phone. Well, guess what! Epic doesn't support mobile sync. SO PLEASE BACK UP YOUR CONTACTS THROUGH GMAIL IF YOU WERE PLANNING ON RELYING ON MOBILE SYNC! Unfortunately, I don't have a "local" Sprint store. It will take more time to drive to one than to manually enter my contacts.

As we all know the droid's d-pad is located under the screen on the slider. I just wonder has anyone ever come to a situation where an app or a game needs a d-pad, but doesn't support the landscape mode, so you have no choice but to use the phone in portrait with the slider open.
and in that case would the "up" button(in landscape mode) become the "right" button, or does it still recognize it as an UP button? Is it comfortable to hold the phone that way?
I could imagine some games that are designed for the Hero/magic would require you to use the d-pad/trackball.
Another day, another thing that I assumed the Hero would do because my last 3 WinMo phones have done it but doesn't...
Obviously BT file transfer doesn't work
I knew that voice dialling isn't support - why on earth not though?
I've just paired it with my BT car stereo, and I have also discovered that it doesn't download the phonebook to the stereo like it did from my TyTN II!
So how am I supposed to dial in the car!? I'm handsfree but to dial I can't voicedial or scroll through the phonebook, so the only option is to hope the number is in my received/missed/dialled calls, or pull over and dial it from my phone manually.
Is there any chance that this will appear in a future update?

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoesn't this phone support the direct dial shortcut on the desktop? I am trying to add contacts on my desktop that I would like 1-touch access to but the only way to add a contact is using the shortcut to contact. Clicking on that opens up the contact details and then I have to click on the number I want to call and select call or message. Is there any way to add a particular number for a particular contact directly onto the home screen? I know that the MT3G used to have a shortcut to direct dial option. Is there anyway to get that on this phone
