I've got the Fresh ROM installed on my phone, but I don't seem to have any luck getting the live backgrounds that came with the ROM working. I have a feeling they're inactive, but I can't find anywhere else to get them and load them onto my phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently just rooted my phone to 2.0d and added the live wallpapers to it. Well after I added the live wallpapers my google navigation wasn't working properly. Whenever I try to use it, it doesn't show my route like where I'm going. It looks like just a black screen in the middle and the voice doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi've tried out all the radios to test out which is the best for me..and i devided on the one that was based off the verizon radio..so i got an error message saying "You must be a Sprint Customer to use this feature" so i changed to the newest radio out 2.42.01.04.27 and i still get the same issue..what could it be?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since I rooted my phone to Fresh 2.0D and learned how to do the Live Wallpapers hack as well, I have enjoyed my phone so much that I am changing my mind about getting the EVO. I am one of those geeks that has to have all the newest toys but since I've rooted and installed a custom Rom I find myself comparing my phone to the EVO and slowly realizing that my phone can be just as good. It really was the tethering thing that changed my mind. I think I will get the EVO once someone has learned to root it and do amazing things with it but until then, I am keeping the Hero. I truly love this phone.

people say thr evo will be so much better in OS department, but compared to the HERO isnt that all the same 2.1 OS ?

It was somewhere on these forums be it moment, eris, or hero. I would assume if it was on another phones page the concept would be the same. Any info on this my fellow Hero comrades?

I do realize there are roms out there that do this but I have a lot of time invested in tweaking the stock rom and it works excellent for my needs. I just want to rock the Super Mario live wallpaper!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI wonder if anyone is having the same issues I am with Windows Live Messenger?My company and all employees with computers or smartphones uses this as a constant communication tool.On BlackBerry it works really well. If you lose signal and re-gain it, it will auto sign back in.With the Hero, it works fine initially but then after an unknown amount of inactivity, it signs out or whatever. When this happens, it does not sign itself back in until you do it manually or soft reset.Very annoying problem since everyone at the office reminds me that my "little green man" isn't working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to use LWP in HTC Sense in Fresh? I know the flip guy sent out a fix for this, but that took away weather animations (and I like that). Also the LWP ran a bit laggy, as opposed to when I ran the LWP with the undo fix. The issue is though, when I run it with the fix undone, whenever I wake the phone up, it disappears. Is this some sort of remedy for this.

The only problem I'm having is that I can't change my home screen wallpaper. I can change the lockscreen and I can do everything else with the phone except this. Anyone have any ideas?

If you press:
Home --> and hold it for a couple of seconds
You get pictures (icons) of the last six apps you've run.
I was in the Sprint store today and the rep who also uses the HTC Hero told me there's an App that stops them, which can be downloaded at the Android Market.
It's called " Kill-Something? "
It's an App we can download that will force these off and perhaps save battery power, or at least stop them from running in the background.
Questions
1) Anyone know the name of this App?
2) Is it useful? Have you had any experiences with it either positive or negative?
3) Any other tips (in layman terms please) on stopping Apps from running in the background on Sprint HTC Hero?
i don't wanna beat a dead horse. currently running fresh 2.3.3 with vanilla lockscreen. just upgraded to the black vanilla one but only have the locks on it with the black background. no clock. anything i gotta do for this. also if i can't get a vanilla lock screen with a background on it how do i revert it to the normal htc one?

Every time I go on the market, browser, check my email, or send a text, Sprint Navigation is shown running in all of my 3rd party app managers. I have task killer so I can kill it as I please, however I would like to completely prevent it from starting up when i'm not even using it. Any ideas on how I can accomplish this?
