What apps etc. are available for watching the olympics (live or not live) on android? There was a post on this a week plus ago. Wondering if there are any updates.

As Winter is coming i was wondering are there any live wallpapers that are winter themed?
Also any that are:
Christmas
Halloween
Summer
Fall
Spring
Themed wallpapers?
I did a search and did not come up with too much. But I was wondering if you can set up " watch in high quality " as the default setting when watching youtube videos? Had the Hero for over a week and mine is not laggy at all "swipies"and still loving it. Loads great no major issues at this time.Except always mis-spell words.

I'm at my local Sprint store fondling the new EVO and contemplating when I get an upgrade and maybe I should get one or should I wait or.Anyway, the phone was fully functional and on 3G, so I thought I would check out YouTube. I brought it up and searched out a video I had watched before and cued it up. When it played, and for whatever reason, it had super resolution and looked great, but it would not play more than a few seconds without stopping then starting, stopping and starting again, etc. I thought this was pretty weird, so holding the EVO in my other hand, I pulled out my Hero and cued up the same exact YouTube video. When the vid played on the Hero the video guality and resolution were not as good as the EVO's, but it played perfectly and seamlessly all the way through, no starting and stopping at all.

Also, I plan on placing the eris on the cradle at my desk and having the live news play on it almost all day, will this hurt the phone's hardware because of such excessive use?

I also tried to watch highlights from a previous match and highlights from Rockness music festival but still no joy? Adobe does not support this was the warning i got but i thought the Desire supported this with its Adobe flash player? View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since I rooted my phone to Fresh 2.0D and learned how to do the Live Wallpapers hack as well, I have enjoyed my phone so much that I am changing my mind about getting the EVO. I am one of those geeks that has to have all the newest toys but since I've rooted and installed a custom Rom I find myself comparing my phone to the EVO and slowly realizing that my phone can be just as good. It really was the tethering thing that changed my mind. I think I will get the EVO once someone has learned to root it and do amazing things with it but until then, I am keeping the Hero. I truly love this phone.

people say thr evo will be so much better in OS department, but compared to the HERO isnt that all the same 2.1 OS ?

It was somewhere on these forums be it moment, eris, or hero. I would assume if it was on another phones page the concept would be the same. Any info on this my fellow Hero comrades?

I do realize there are roms out there that do this but I have a lot of time invested in tweaking the stock rom and it works excellent for my needs. I just want to rock the Super Mario live wallpaper!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI wonder if anyone is having the same issues I am with Windows Live Messenger?My company and all employees with computers or smartphones uses this as a constant communication tool.On BlackBerry it works really well. If you lose signal and re-gain it, it will auto sign back in.With the Hero, it works fine initially but then after an unknown amount of inactivity, it signs out or whatever. When this happens, it does not sign itself back in until you do it manually or soft reset.Very annoying problem since everyone at the office reminds me that my "little green man" isn't working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to use LWP in HTC Sense in Fresh? I know the flip guy sent out a fix for this, but that took away weather animations (and I like that). Also the LWP ran a bit laggy, as opposed to when I ran the LWP with the undo fix. The issue is though, when I run it with the fix undone, whenever I wake the phone up, it disappears. Is this some sort of remedy for this.

Whenever I try to use it, it doesn't show my route like where I'm going. It looks like just a black screen in the middle and the voice doesn't work.
