I recently just rooted my phone to 2.0d and added the live wallpapers to it. Well after I added the live wallpapers my google navigation wasn't working properly. Whenever I try to use it, it doesn't show my route like where I'm going. It looks like just a black screen in the middle and the voice doesn't work.

If there is a add-on that can be flashed over the stock sense-UI 2.1? I am of course rooted but want to retain the stock look and feel. I do realize there are roms out there that do this but I have a lot of time invested in tweaking the stock rom and it works excellent for my needs. I just want to rock the Super Mario live wallpaper!

View 11 Replies View RelatedEver since I rooted my phone to Fresh 2.0D and learned how to do the Live Wallpapers hack as well, I have enjoyed my phone so much that I am changing my mind about getting the EVO. I am one of those geeks that has to have all the newest toys but since I've rooted and installed a custom Rom I find myself comparing my phone to the EVO and slowly realizing that my phone can be just as good. It really was the tethering thing that changed my mind. I think I will get the EVO once someone has learned to root it and do amazing things with it but until then, I am keeping the Hero. I truly love this phone.

It was somewhere on these forums be it moment, eris, or hero. I would assume if it was on another phones page the concept would be the same. Any info on this my fellow Hero comrades?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis phone has a great feature that i wish I had on my Pre. After searching for something in google it allows you to search for it with Sprint Navigation. Problem is that when I hit Sprint Nav it says the destination is "null" and I still have to manually type it all out which sucks for driving. In "maps" the destination address is already filled in. Is there a way to fix this or a setting needed to have the address input automatically in sprint nav?

I put some wallpaper files in a zip. and put the zip. on my phone. I then went into recovery mode and tried to extract them from the zip. but it didnt work.. How do I put live wallpapers on my Moment? It is already rooted, and it already has the capability.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy 2.1 update got pushed through this morning and I immediately set a Live Wallpaper on my desktop. I have found that the wallpeprs don't "stick" when I turn the screen off and then turn it back on, it defaults back to the wallpaper I had set prior to changing it to the Live Wallpaper, or the screen just has a black background. At first I thought it maybe Live Wallpaper was conflicting with my Locale app, so I disabled it, but it's still doing it after.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to get stuff like "turn left onto such and such street." Now I get "such and such street" and I have to look up to see whether the arrow is left or right. So, I checked settings. I'm on "full audio." But, I set it to instructions only, saved settings, even rebooted the phone, then reopened the app, but no change. I set it back to full audio, saved, reboot, nothing. Still not getting full prompts, the way it used to.. NOTHING changed, that I can figure out. It just stopped working properly on Friday. I'm running Fresh 1.1 rom, but I flashed that about 2 weeks ago and the navigation prompts were working fine .. until Friday.

I installed a couple of live wallpapers. however I cannot for the life of me get them running on the phone. It wont let me open them or anything, so not sure If i need some sort of tool or app to run these.
Secondly... any ideas where i can get the voicesearch.apk? desperate to get uber keyboard working.

I downloaded the official 2.1 update from HTC but as I suspected, no Live wallpapers. My Hero is rooted and I have searched for a good live wallpapers ROM but cannot find one. So i was wondering if there is a good ROM that allows me to have Live Wallpapers while still maintaining Sense UI and 2.1. But I want one thats stable and everything works well (VillainROM is perfect but Wi-Fi doesn't work).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am asking cause i have 5.3, the OTA updater will not download the updates at all, its telling me that it cant be downloaded at this time~ it will only allow me to download 5.4 which i don't want. now cause the instructions tell you to flash the fix right after flashing the rom will it still work for me? really wanna try out one of these wallpapers ive downloaded.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone with Unrevoked3 the Unrevoked Forever. I used my GPS and Navigation to a friends house. It worked great! Then I flashed to the OTA official ROM. Didnt change any setting. My GPS is set on. Under the "LOCATION" setting..everything is checked.
Now I can go to Google Maps and then get my location and then search and stuff. I can even get direction to places. However, when I hit NAVIGATE...all I get is "SEARCHING FOR GPS..." And it would be stuck at the screen for the longest time without going into the Turn-by-turn direction. I turned off my GPS and turned it backed on again...NOTHING! I just adjust the setting...nothing. I even factory reset the phone and getting the same message when I use the navigation feature.
I also notice that the GPS location is not accurate at all...a lot worst than before. This is very annoying since I can use my turn by turn direction. I tried uninstall but the phone wouldnt let me. Since im rooted is there anything I can do?
I downloaded and flashed Fresh 2.0d last night, and all looks good until I try to use Google Voice. I get an error message of - We have a problem, Your phone number could not be verified.
I tried it several times and no go. I then downloaded and older version of Google Voice and got it to recognize my phone, but it won't take messages for missed calls. I called my number, let it go to voicemail, and just get dead air.
Also, received an email from this morning from the Android Team at Google welcoming me and my new Nexus One. I have a Sprint Hero. What's that all about?
I've noticed lately that both the Android search widget, and the HTC search widget are both not working properly. Prior to this issue, when I used either of the search widgets as I typed it would populate search results below the search text box. For some reason now this isn't happening. When I search now I don't get the instant results. I have to submit the search, and it will display the google search results in a browser window.
