Sprint HTC Hero : Way To Have Date Show Up In My Notification Bar?
Mar 13, 2010I have searched for days trying to find a way to have the date show up in my notification bar. I know there are tons of apps and widgets for the home screen, but that is not what I am looking for. Is there an app out there that will let me do this?

Mine reads "DT10.04.26" I have a Version 2 Not exactly sure what the DT means, but the other numbers mean it was manufactured on 4/26/10. The DT could be the place of manufacturing? Or the line. Aug 10, 2010I have come to the conclusion that vzw aborted the ota on the 1st 2.2, and not many people have gotten it. It seems at least on this forum that everyone has 2.2 via a forced update. Very few people have chimed in that they got a ota.However, given that vzw is releasing the droid2 on Thu the 12th, I would think that this is going to have the newest froyo, not the version released ota that everyone forced with. Correct thinking?
If that is also true, then shouldn't we be seing something coming out ota for us 2.1 droid 1 users very shortly? anyone have any dates?
Sprint HTC Hero :: DamageControl V2.08.1 Clock / Date 24 Hours Off / Weather Widget
May 10, 2010When I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.

Aug 2, 2010I'm going to exchange my Cappy at bestbuy today. I had 100% battery when I woke up, make an 3 min call, browsed for about 15 minutes and I'm down to 70%. I normally have to charge it 2 or more times a day. The battery usage thing shows display using 70%. That seems a bit high. Its on its lowest brightness setting too
Then the GPS thing. it would be nice if that worked. I'm going to love this phone one way or another!
My phone was built on 7/10/2010, the battery was 7/4/2010. Is there an easy way to tell if its a newer build or not? Does anyone know the IEMI breakdown?

Jun 7, 2010Im still trying to get a good feel for what i am doing before i go and root my phone and flash a custom rom. my last real question is i see so many different custom roms people are using. where can i find all these to put on my phone. also i am on 2.1 do i have to use a 2.something custom rom or can i use any custom rom. im at about an 95% user ability as far as using my phone and computer. i have never hacked/ flashed/ altered anything like a phone or computer or video game system. i have always just used as is. i wanna try this becuase i have read i can go back and go stock on this if i cant do it or dont like the results.

Step 2, Touch it and it should go full screen pic below
Step 3, Touch menu button and this screen below appears
Step 4, Hit the set as ringtone button and below screen appears
Step 5, select trim ringtone and below screen appears. When in this screen you can adjust ringtone from each end to where it begins and ends. There is a play button and a left and right arrow. The left and right arrow allow for second to second adjusting.

Dec 20, 2009Is anyone having issues with HTC Sync and the phone not being able to find it on the computer? I've used it before, but today it doesn't want to find it on my computer. I uninstalled sync from the computer, and reinstalled it, even tried a hard reset on my phone, still no go.
Any ideas? Or am I just an idiot and doing something wrong?
