View 4 RepliesLooks like there is no way to do this? Annoying!
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe haptic feedback only occurs when I am dialing phone numbers, I recently installed swype but I disabled the haptic feedback setting for it as well. Any ideas?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had the Hero about a week now, and keep finding that whenever I'm in the dialler app, I press the big green 'Call' button by mistake.I don't like that the fact that it's highlighted as soon as you enter the app via 'Phone' on the homescreen, and it looks like it defaults to the last caller. Is there anyway to change this? Ideally I don't want it to be highlighted until I've selected a contact to call.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if I have a software problem. I have tried everything to shut off the haptic feedback when dialing a number to make a call. Haptic is shut off for the 4 main buttons at the bottom of the screen and it is off for text typing, but it will just not shut off for dialing phone numbers. Am I missing something here?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyway to turn off the haptic feedback when using the keyboard? It gets a bit annoying for my tastes.
View 39 Replies View RelatedWhen I am dialing a phone number (typing the digits one at a time, not going through my address book), the phone will beep and vibrate when I press a number. Any way to turn off the vibration?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got a new bluetooth headset, and I set it up with my Hero only to find *gasp* no voice dialing? The whole point of having the headset is to not have to look at the phone while driving! The owner's manual of the Hero says it supports hands free profiles, as does my headset(obviously) but there's no voice dial. Unbelievable!
View 10 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to keep the dialing screen lit during a call? It's a pain to recall the screen when you have to enter extensions.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI normally set up call forwarding from my home phone number to my cell phone by speed-dialing a special sting of numbers from my cell phone. Once the computer on the other side answers, the cell phone sends all the correct codes, including the number where I wish my forwarded calls to go.With my newly bought HTC Hero (Sprint), this doesn't seem to work, because the automatically dialed tones are much too fast and too short. I've tried putting a "P" (for pause) between each digit, but it doesn't help.Other cell phones provide way to select between short and long tones, but apparently the Hero does not.Is there a way to slow down the dialing string so that it can be read by the phone company's computer? Obviously, I could manually key in each digit, but that's really not a good solution.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy dial screen has always had lag but recently it is 10 times worse, any solutions? I want to go clean my cache but cant remember / or find , how to get to that screen. Any help would be great,
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have pretty bad lag when i dial phone numbers, also when i hit call and end call. my phone is rooted and has fresh 1.1, however, it was doing this before. Just want to know if anyone else has this, or has noticed it.
View 30 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have Hero's and after the recent updates our phone takes forever to dial a number. It was bad before going to 2.1 but now it's terrible. It takes about 10 to 15 seconds to actually dial out. Any suggestions? We both have Google Voice but it dials slow regardless if we're using Google Voice or the standard dialer.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI have turned off vibration in the settings but it still vibrated when phone/dial a number. Is there any way to turn this off as well? I liked it at first, but turning it off really speeds up the response time. For some reason it is still vibrating when I go to phone and start typing a number. The lag id horrible compared to typing with the vibrate off
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor anyone wanting to disable the haptic feedback on the four touch sensitive keys, install an app from the App Market called "Spare Parts". Scroll down and select disable haptic feeback and it will disable the haptic feedback on the four touch sensitive keys.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable haptic feedback when you move your phone to silent mode? I normally carry the phone with vibrate on, but in class I'd like to set it to silent, and then I'd like it to not use haptic feedback so that I can use the phone without making a ton of noise.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is what I want the end result to be. I have the screen to left of my home screen clear. What I NEED for this screen is to have 8 one touch phone contacts that I can clearly tell the difference between. The 8 would consist of 4 people, my 4 supervisors with both of their phone numbers (office & cell). I tried 2 folders, one for office and one for cell. I don't like it that way. Using these, in some cases will need to be quick, and the folder doesn't stay open when you move away from the screen. If I put them directly on the screen neither the icon nor the title show the difference between the office and the cell. Then I created groups for cell and office in Google contact.s I added the HTC People widget (the tall one) for both. The widgets, of course, stay open, but when I touch the button it only takes me to the contact card. An app, thoughts, suggestions?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using the quick the "contact quick task" widgets for one-touch dialing of key contacts prior to installing Launcher Pro. But now in LPP, they don't work. I've tried recreating them but they just seem to be broken in LPP.
Any fixes or ideas on other ways to do one-touch dialing with LPP? Also, is it just me or does "speed dial" (on the favorites page in dialer) not work at all. I can get to the speed dial page but cannot successfully add contacts.
I need a way to turn off the fact that if I tough a contact once incorrectly it calls them. It's really annoying for me and i end up calling friends when I don't want to, then the phone turns black when it's calling someone for protection and I can't hang up right away. I can't believe this isn't a setting to turn off somewhere. Anything would work I guess, even if it's just an app that asks you to confirm if you want to make a call.
Anyone else heard of a fix to this? I would be forever in your debt..
Does anyone know of a setting or app that will prevent one-touch dialing? Many times when scrolling through a contact list i have accidentally tapped a contact and the phone immediately starts dialing.
Ideally I'd like to have the phone not dial until i hit "send" confirming that i do indeed want to place a call. Any way to do this?
I have a problem which is disable and enable scrollView by code. This is my layout which includes header, footer and scrollview. The scrollview contain imageView and MapView. I used scrollview to scroll image and MapView because height total of their larger than height of screen. I want to disable scrollview if I touch map and move in the map. And it is enable when I touch ImageView. So, I will listen even touch and move in the map to enable and disable scrollview. But I try to use setEnable and setHorizontalScrollBarEnabled, setVerticalScrollBar Enabled method to do it but not success.

I very recently got my HTC Hero and everything was working fine until a few days ago. For some reason, my phone does not respond fully when I click on certain hyperlinks. For instance, I can type in a google search, but I can't click on any of the results, but I can click on the "Options" tab next to each hyperlink. As I click on these links, they will become underlined, but nothing happens. I tried a factory reset on calibration and that did not work.
