View 2 Replies View RelatedI have pretty bad lag when i dial phone numbers, also when i hit call and end call. my phone is rooted and has fresh 1.1, however, it was doing this before. Just want to know if anyone else has this, or has noticed it.
View 30 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to make the keypad on the phone not vibrate? I have haptic feedback disabled and the only two things that vibrate are the unlock (which I dont mind) and the keypad on the phone. I would really love to turn that off. Does anyone know if this is possible?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone found a way to fix the weak vibrations on the Incredible? I can barely feel my phone go off in my pocket, let alone hear/feel it while it's sitting half a foot away from me on a desk. I don't really miss my Black Berry too much, but this is one big thing that I do miss.

View 8 Replies View RelatedFrom the home screen, if I press 'phone' and then the keypad icon in the bottom left some of the numbers have a chevron on either side of them. I thought that possibly it indicated that the person had more than one number but that is not the case.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am making a math program that reads in numbers from an edit text box, and creates / LU factors a matrix. When a user clicks into this field, the regular keyboard shows. It would be easier for the user if it were a numeric keyboard. When I use android:input Style="number" the amount of numbers allowed to be entered into the field is 1. How do I bring up the numeric keyboard without limiting the ability to enter multiple numbers?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed some glitches with calls dropping and I don't think these instances are connected: 1) Sometimes I cannot dial numbers that are stored in the phone or using the favs widget and that includes returning a call so the number is already listed. If I hit the number it dials for about a second then says call disconnected. BUT if I manually dial the same number after it drops it will dial out fine. I haven't noticed any rhyme or reason for it doing this. It just seems to happen randomly. Maybe it is linked to low signal? It just seems odd that I can always dial the number after if I type it in. 2) When using GPS naviation (Maps) if I get an incoming call - no problem but if I dial out, after a few seconds on the phone the phone will reboot itself.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes any one have any idea as to which countries Android supports interms of Emergency Number dialing. Is there a list of supported countries and emergency numbers? For example US has 911, Australia has 000 and there is also the international numbers 112.
How can we find out which numbers/countries are supported for emergency dialing?
I have a layout with lots of different imagebuttons on it. Application is developed in full-touch, so there should be no response to keyboard or keypad on all activities except one, where user can input his name.
Is there a way to achieve that?
I've checked on debug, keypress and keypad press result in onKeyDown event. I've set it to return 'false' for all keys. But, for some reason, android keeps selecting my imagebuttons when keypad is pressed. And pressing Enter key result in View.onClick event.
How to totally disable all keyboard input for activity? I use Motorola Milestone for tests - a slider with a keyboard.
At work I have my phone in my pocket, on vibrate, quite a bit and a lot of times I don't feel the initial vibration. So I end up missing the message until I physically take the phone out and look to see if I have any messages. My Dare that I just upgraded from sent out a vibration every couple of minutes until I checked the phone and dismissed the notifications. Would love to find out if this is possible with the DI.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a way to make the phone, when set to vibrate, vibrate longer and stronger than the 2 short weak vibrates that it does now? I miss more calls because of this than any other reason. A co-worker has the Moto Droid and that thing will vibrate so hard the phone will move across the desk. Thats what I am used to coming from BlackBerries. I would like to accomplish this without using a 3rd party app if possible.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had the Hero about a week now, and keep finding that whenever I'm in the dialler app, I press the big green 'Call' button by mistake.I don't like that the fact that it's highlighted as soon as you enter the app via 'Phone' on the homescreen, and it looks like it defaults to the last caller. Is there anyway to change this? Ideally I don't want it to be highlighted until I've selected a contact to call.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCertain callers will always leave a message saying "it's me, call me back" or something similar that is a PITA to have as a message.
Is there a way to disable calls from certain numbers from going to voicemail?
Just got my Incredible and it is rocking. Damn this thing is fast! I notice that when I try to compose an sms message, the contact search list contains ALL of my contacts (phone + Google). This is super annoying, as I literally have thousands of Google contacts and some people have numerous accounts, so it's incredibly difficult to sort through and is honestly the first thing I have seen the phone start to choke on. The 'People' widget has a 'View' setting that allows me to limit by just phone contacts, but I can't seem to find any sort of filter in the search when I'm composing a message. I can type each name individually and select, but having a big list would be nice. Again, I'd like to be able to select message recipients from a list containing only phone contacts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI like to use my phone as my MP3 player and have an AUX port on my car stereo that I use. On my old phone if I plug headphones or 3.5cable into the jack the phone thinks it has a Mic and disables the one on the phone. So if I get a call while in the car listening to music I can answer the phone and hear the caller through my car stereo but they cannot hear me. Am I going to need a special cable with mic to use in my car?
I don't have my Incredible yet but want to make sure I have all the cables and gadgets before it gets here in a couple weeks. I do a lot of car traveling for business and need to make calls and listen to music.
Any way to disable this for the HTC Incredible?

I am curious if there is a way to either turn down or completely turn off the beep beep beep when you press numbers for a phone number. That drives me nuts!
I tried looking in settings, but I am either overlooking it or it is worded differently than my old phone. Any suggestions?
I'm trying to disable my text messages from showing on the display when phone is locked. Is there a way to do this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I make phone calls, the default screen is the large Droid with the Mute, Speaker and other buttons. I always end up having to press the Keypad button to get the phone keypad to display (checking voicemail or skipping voicemail greetings)Is there anyway to have the keypad be the default screen during phone calls? It seems like the keypad is used much more than Speaker or Mute.
