My dial screen has always had lag but recently it is 10 times worse, any solutions? I want to go clean my cache but cant remember / or find , how to get to that screen. Any help would be great,

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 Hercules (T-Mobile) and its used. In the Last week I pull some photos and mistakenly delete them, but with my "Recurva" program i could see all the photos (mine and others owners)
On the one hand I'm happy for having recovered, but if one day I want to permanently delete photos, I have the fear that the other person recovers.
How I can delete all photos, videos and files in the cache memory?
I have had my instinct since 10/15 and the track ball is already getting dirty and sticking. i have never used a phone with a track ball before so i am looking for tips and advice on how to clean it and keep it clean.

What is the best file manager to use to access the phone memory and see where the issue is, and allow me to delete it myself?
I've played around with my phone over the past month to the point where I've probably fubarred it. I know how I want my phone to be setup (finally) but I think I've introduced way too much bloat and un-needed garbage by installing-unintalling apps and roms.
Is there a way to reset the phone back to factory, but at the same time keeping my contacts and apps in tact? (Did that make sense?) So I basically want a clean slate without having to write down all my my apps and re-setting up my screens. I have Fresh 1.1 and Gumbo
Does anyone know of a custom ROM that is very close to stock.. clean and barely modified that's rooted? Also, does anyone know of a 2.2 custom rom for the hero?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a new bluetooth headset, and I set it up with my Hero only to find *gasp* no voice dialing? The whole point of having the headset is to not have to look at the phone while driving! The owner's manual of the Hero says it supports hands free profiles, as does my headset(obviously) but there's no voice dial. Unbelievable!

It was one thread of about 15 that were saved in my phone from people I communicate with on a regular basis. The phone froze up for about a minute, then message force closed. Opening up the messages app again reveals All of my threads have been wiped clean.

Once the computer on the other side answers, the cell phone sends all the correct codes, including the number where I wish my forwarded calls to go.With my newly bought HTC Hero (Sprint), this doesn't seem to work, because the automatically dialed tones are much too fast and too short. I've tried putting a "P" (for pause) between each digit, but it doesn't help.Other cell phones provide way to select between short and long tones, but apparently the Hero does not.Is there a way to slow down the dialing string so that it can be read by the phone company's computer? Obviously, I could manually key in each digit, but that's really not a good solution.

It takes about 10 to 15 seconds to actually dial out. Any suggestions? We both have Google Voice but it dials slow regardless if we're using Google Voice or the standard dialer.

I liked it at first, but turning it off really speeds up the response time. For some reason it is still vibrating when I go to phone and start typing a number. I left the outlook contacts on the phone (just in case), but switched the View item in people to only show the gmail contacts. Whenever I make or receive a call now, the caller ID lookup always tells me I'm calling or receiving a call from one particular user, who is not the caller/callee. I tried changing and deleting the cache in the browser, tried changing the local settings, nothing wants to work? Right now I have set my homepage to the English version using the url codes, but that is only a temp fix.

I, like may others contributing to your forum, am very sad that there is no way I can use my head set and voice dial out with this phone. What a step backwards as in many other respects, this is a wonderful phone although it will take me ages to get my head around all the other possibilities it offers. Is it possible that HTC will get out a patch that can be installed at some point in the near future.

What I'd like to know is is it likely that it will be included later, or, failing that, is it feasible for somebody to write a voice dialing application? I use the phone in the car and I don't want to be pressing buttons. Which reminds me does anybody know if Brodit will be doing a car mount for the Hero?
