User manual disappeared from my XPERIA and it has been to repair two times, no effect. the user manual aplication connects the phone to this site, and again to a missing part of site so no manual again. I have reinstalled the software myself and no effect again.

I upgraded to Android 2.1 2 days ago and I've pretty much gotten most things that used to work working again, but I have questions/problems regarding the new functionality, can anyone help me? Blue tooth: I am able to send photos via blue tooth, but I CANNOT send a song, ring tones, etc which I could do with my SE 850i I bought 5 years ago. Perhaps if there was some kind of file manager application where I could see the file, I could send from there. In my opinion, blue tooth was marginally improved, but still is NOT satisfactory. Someone please proove me wrong! GEO tagging Photos: This is a new feature with the upgrade and I was eager to try it. In the GEO tagging widget it says to enable GEO tagging from the camera menu. I spent a fair amount of time, but I CANNOT find a camera menu or anywhere to enable GEO tagging. Please help! User Guide Gone: When you use the User Guide widget it says the files have been removed. I looked on PC Companion and confirm, they were removed. I copied the files from PC companion back into the .emanual folder on my phone where the files used to live, but that did not help.Still unable to see user guide. Did anyone get this working again? SMS-ing unsaved number: This annoying problem still exits after upgrade. As far as I can tell, there is NO WAY to sms someone from the call log for numbers that have not previously been saved. I often want to sms a number in my call log that either called me or I typed in. The only way to do this is to save the number in my contacts first. Am I missing something here?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using Handcent SMS for about a day because the original/stock messaging app wouldn't always deliver my multiple/group messages. Handscent SMS was workign fine until suddenly all my sms's dissapered from both the original/stock messaging app and from the additional Handscent app I downlaoded. Does anyone have any idea? Many have reported on other sites they have had this problem on "Android" phones especially on the 1.6 Versions. It is not nessarliy Handcent SMS related as some people's dissapered from the stock app.

I can see them in their raw form by long pressing the smiley face on the number pad, but I'm not fluent in smiley language! and also, not all of them translate anyway; I can't get the angry face anymore for example.
Is there any way of getting the smiley page to work as it did on 1.8, where the More button would bring up the pictures? (can you tell I have a banging headache this morning, having trouble with words.
On Android 1.6 I was using Timescape as my home screen. Now after installing the 2.1 update I can't set Timescape as my home screen.

So, the files are still there. Is there a way to show the folders and files, because testdisk renames all the files.

When the "Data Traffic" arrow is selected in the Mobile network settings the icon disappears from the toolbar at the top, but when it is not selected the icon appears. I just recently bought a sony x10 phone everything was fine until one of the kids entered wrong start up key 5 times in a row now i cant gain access to phone in any way,does not accept google user name or password,tried switching off for 10 mins taking out battery and so on to no effect.user name and password seems to be accepted online. Also tried to fix problem online using sony Ericsson pc companion which asks to drag down on phone but does not allow drag down.

I am currently using a x10i (x10?) on tmobile, i have the data plan ($10), and have my email connected via gmail. however, it seems like i have to do manual refresh in order to get email update. Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.
I have just updated xperia x10 from 1.6 to 2.1 (Rogers) and figured it out that all my applications were lost.Before the update, I installed the last PC Companion Software from SE and made two backups using the backup and restore application.After the update, when I tried to restore using it, there's no market application checkbox. Everything else (contacts, messages..) was restored.The paid applications are shown in the Market Download tab to install, but just that (because they are associated with google account).Nothing more. I lost about +50 apps with their user data.I searched all the net about it, but the only info I found it was that the backup and restore tool just save the application links.How about the user data? I reinstall some of the apps that I had, but no user data. Am I the only one that had this problem? Is there any advanced tool to try to undelete internal memory of the phone?
