The contacts that were on my old phone but not on the sim card I had to insert manually on my new Sony Ericsson X10, which took quite a while. I was messing around with the phone today and now they've all disappeared. Please don't tell me I have to insert them all again, they must be in there somewhere.

User manual disappeared from my XPERIA and it has been to repair two times, no effect. the user manual aplication connects the phone to this site, and again to a missing part of site so no manual again. I have reinstalled the software myself and no effect again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Handcent SMS for about a day because the original/stock messaging app wouldn't always deliver my multiple/group messages. Handscent SMS was workign fine until suddenly all my sms's dissapered from both the original/stock messaging app and from the additional Handscent app I downlaoded. Does anyone have any idea? Many have reported on other sites they have had this problem on "Android" phones especially on the 1.6 Versions. It is not nessarliy Handcent SMS related as some people's dissapered from the stock app.

Originally the FW was xxxxx14, and that had PlayNow which I have used and downloaded a few apps from already. But after the new FW update, the PlayNow app has gone. I can see them in their raw form by long pressing the smiley face on the number pad, but I'm not fluent in smiley language! and also, not all of them translate anyway; I can't get the angry face anymore for example.
Is there any way of getting the smiley page to work as it did on 1.8, where the More button would bring up the pictures? (can you tell I have a banging headache this morning, having trouble with words.
On Android 1.6 I was using Timescape as my home screen. Now after installing the 2.1 update I can't set Timescape as my home screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI unmounted the SD card and when I connected it to the computer to browse all the files and directories disappeared. I was able to recover them using testdisk. So, the files are still there. Is there a way to show the folders and files, because testdisk renames all the files.

When the "Data Traffic" arrow is selected in the Mobile network settings the icon disappears from the toolbar at the top, but when it is not selected the icon appears. I cannot access the internet or download any of the Apps. Can it be sorted out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two groups of contacts "MyContacts" and "Utilities". When I set up synching I selected to copy "All contacts".
Unfortunatey, when I look what's on my area on sonyericsson.com/wportal I see only the contacts from the group "MyContacts".
I.e. the site creates a false feeling of security - if I need to restore my phone from this site I will irrecovarebly lose lots of data.
I don't know is SE forgot to test their function or Android-hackers don't understand the features of the contacts.
All area of handling the contacts stinks seriously, and mkes you wander if the Android people ever used a mobile phone :
1. X10 does not accept contacts sent via SMS (VCARD-format), (or via MMS or bluetooth)
2. X10 does not sync with Outlook where most of business people have their contacts, and maintain them when receiving corporate mails etc.
3. The only way to get the contacts is to export from PC to a csv-file and import to gmail, and then sync to the phone. This is not that flexible due the export via csv. I.e. If I create cntacts in the phone they will not reach Outlook.
After updating my phone i noticed i cant find half my contacts. how can i get the contacts back to my original ones
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust received my phone yesterday and had a problem getting the SIM contacts from my old W910i phone to the Xperia x10. Followed the instructions to the letter, then called up Orange and they tried a few ways to get them over, went to the shop this morning to try and sort it out but after over an hour it was to no avail. The young chap in the store said that it must be based on the database setup - they must be incompatible.
So I now have to manually input my old contacts on the new phone when I encountered another problem - whilst inputting a contact detail, I pressed something on the bottom left of the keyboard and suddenly I am faced with Korean language. I went to Settings and set the language to English UK and went back to the contact I was editing, but still faced with a Korean keyboard.
i recently purchaed my SE x10 mini pro, and im relatively happy with it, although there are a few simle functions missing. i know how to import your sim contacts onto your phone, however is there a way to export contacts onto your sim? so that each time i add a new contact i'd save it onto the sim rather than the phone?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed android 2.1 today but for some reason I can't restore my contacts.I followed the instructions on the sony ericsson webpage and used the SE backup software to make a backup of my contacts, mms, photos etc. When I restored everything after the update everything was restored except my contacts. How can I get my contacts back? Is there some way to extract them manually from the backup file or something? The backup software can't seem to restore them for me.

When i look in my contacts, i see it allows you to have a photo for each person. When i link the contact to facebook, it doesent put their picture on the contact. do i really have to walk around and manually take a picture of each one of my friends in order to have it on my contacts list?
