View 3 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately I seem to have had a senior moment and lost the built in user guide for my handset(Xperia X10 mini pro) in the process of replacing my memory card and formatting the one received with the handset (yes I was actually that stupid). Can anyone possibly help me in locating a copy that I can transfer to my phone please?I know I can view the instructions online from my laptop or the handset itself but I would like to get them back on the handset just in case, any help would be greatly appreciated.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just updated xperia x10 from 1.6 to 2.1 (Rogers) and figured it out that all my applications were lost.Before the update, I installed the last PC Companion Software from SE and made two backups using the backup and restore application.After the update, when I tried to restore using it, there's no market application checkbox. Everything else (contacts, messages..) was restored.The paid applications are shown in the Market Download tab to install, but just that (because they are associated with google account).Nothing more. I lost about +50 apps with their user data.I searched all the net about it, but the only info I found it was that the backup and restore tool just save the application links.How about the user data? I reinstall some of the apps that I had, but no user data. Am I the only one that had this problem? Is there any advanced tool to try to undelete internal memory of the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone else had abny issues with the back up restore function? I tried to do a software update, to which something seems to have happened. All i can see for the time being is an update to the virtual keyboard. Anyway, lost apps, contacts etc, so went into the menu on the handset and selected back up, restore. Restored numbers etc to phone book and over 150 number details are missing. The back up utility doesn't seem to have backed up all my numbers. Also, any personal photo's of callers etc have either vanished or the photo's are now against the wrong people. So much for this back up service, it's going to take hours, if not days to try to get the phone back tot he way it was!

There is no Linux version of Pc Companion? Is there another way to update? It seems odd to me that a phone that uses a Linux kernel only allows you to update using windows? The phone manufacturers are happy to use a free and open source OS but have no interest in providing for the Linux community? Shame on them...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried to send my wife a copy of a picture using Bluetooth yesterday, by going to the picture, pressing the left button (the one with 4 squares).Somehow, it gave my wife access to all the files on my phone.That didn't matter, insofar as there was nothing on it I didn't mind her seeing (though I don't think she expected quite so many pictures of Lucy Liu! ) but I wonder if anyone knows what I might have done wrong?Or, perhaps, the phone is set up in such a way that you have to be sure to trust someone completely before sending information by Bluetooth?If it helps, I'll try to recreate what happened later, but if anyone knows off-hand what I might have done and how it ought to be done differently.
View 3 Replies View Relatedright so the bottom buttons were working fine, but the next day, the back button takes me to the home screen :S so if im on facebook, press the back button, instead of going to the previous page. and i also set up the draw thing to unlock it, but as it was raining a little it said i entered it wrong too many times and asked for the google mail thing... but i really have no rememberence of making one, which is so ******* annyoying.
the only way ive found out to solve this problem is doin a phone software update, however as my bottom right button is working properly, everytime i hold it down to plug the phones usb, the phone just starts normally, so basically i cannot do the system update.

I backed up my contacts, messages, call logs everything.When the phone was updated and I restored everything contacts are missing all the rest are there.A little background to know. View 1 Replies View RelatedI was having that "My phone does not turns on" problem, then I decided to repair the software. Using the PC Companion I've done all the requested steps. The problem is: when I try to restore the backup I've made I get the following error: "Could not restore files".
Even when I choose only to restore contacts, the "Applications" is also included in the restore list. Then the Contact percentage goes to 100%, while restoring, and the error message appears. I even have the backup .sbf file.
