Aug 6, 2010I have the X10 and recieved a text message in the early hours of the morning. The green LED which flashes to notify of the event is actually quite bright in a dark room and ended up waking me up (in fact, I was quite confused at first as to what on earth it could be lol!). Does anyone know if there is an app which controls either the brightness of the LED notification or can disable the LED notification altogether?

Sep 22, 2009I wondered how everyone set their brightness - I was comparing my Hero with my wife's iPhone at home last night and the Hero was a lot dimmer in comparison because of the auto-brightness. I disabled it for the first time and cranked up to brightness and the display looked so much better - I just wondered what others thought about this and whether battery life would be affected greatly turning up the brightness.

Jun 22, 2010User manual disappeared from my XPERIA and it has been to repair two times, no effect. the user manual aplication connects the phone to this site, and again to a missing part of site so no manual again. I have reinstalled the software myself and no effect again.

Aug 22, 2010So after turning off "adjust automatically" about a week ago in the display settings I have noticed a huge battery improvement. My question is what is your brightness set at? 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full? Just trying to see where most people are with there settings and how the battery has been with it. Right now I'm around 1/4 but wondering if anyone set on about 1/2 or more has noticed battery drainage. Also, will the 2.1 update fix the battery problem?

Nov 10, 2010I upgraded to Android 2.1 2 days ago and I've pretty much gotten most things that used to work working again, but I have questions/problems regarding the new functionality, can anyone help me? Blue tooth: I am able to send photos via blue tooth, but I CANNOT send a song, ring tones, etc which I could do with my SE 850i I bought 5 years ago. Perhaps if there was some kind of file manager application where I could see the file, I could send from there. In my opinion, blue tooth was marginally improved, but still is NOT satisfactory. Someone please proove me wrong! GEO tagging Photos: This is a new feature with the upgrade and I was eager to try it. In the GEO tagging widget it says to enable GEO tagging from the camera menu. I spent a fair amount of time, but I CANNOT find a camera menu or anywhere to enable GEO tagging. Please help! User Guide Gone: When you use the User Guide widget it says the files have been removed. I looked on PC Companion and confirm, they were removed. I copied the files from PC companion back into the .emanual folder on my phone where the files used to live, but that did not help.Still unable to see user guide. Did anyone get this working again? SMS-ing unsaved number: This annoying problem still exits after upgrade. As far as I can tell, there is NO WAY to sms someone from the call log for numbers that have not previously been saved. I often want to sms a number in my call log that either called me or I typed in. The only way to do this is to save the number in my contacts first. Am I missing something here?

May 22, 2010I have both the iPhone 3GS and the Xperia X10, and comparing the two phones, I'll need to give 2 thumbs up for the iPhone 3GS, and two thumbs down for the X10.
One thing I noticed with the X10 is that, theres no EQ Control in Mediascape. so when I listen to music with the X10, the sound quality is just brutal compared to the iPhone.
Does the X10 have EQ control, and I'm just not able to find it, or do they not have it?

Oct 16, 2010I am currently using a x10i (x10?) on tmobile, i have the data plan ($10), and have my email connected via gmail. however, it seems like i have to do manual refresh in order to get email update. Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.

Aug 2, 2010I usually tap the off button to turn off the screen when I put my phone inside my front pants pocket. I even have the security feature on so when I turn on the phone, I first have to draw a pattern to unlock it. However, I've noticed that sometimes after I've done all this, my X10 seems to be doing stuff on it's own, ie) downloading pic from the net, sending random text messages, randomly calling contacts. I know because sometimes after I "unlock" my phone, I see that the phone is in the middle of doing something. I thought by turning on the security feature, it's supposed to prevent accidental taps on the phone and doing random things while inside the pocket.

Jul 29, 2010My manager has just bought himself a new Xperia X10 and he has setup the bluetooth connection, however when its paired to the laptop and a call comes in the laptop automatically answers the phone for him, so he has to switch the bluetooth off on his laptop until he needs it. Aug 19, 2010I've checked the "orientation" box in the "sound and display" settings menu, but the Home and Menu screens will not auto-orient when my X10 mini pro is rotated. It only works when the keyboard is slid open - applications don't seem to have this problem. This is a recent issue, probably in the last couple of days. i've tried reinstalling the software via PC Companion and SEUS, in addition to a "factory reset," but they haven't solved anything.
