Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: RoadSync - No Contacts Shown In Android Phone Book

Sep 29, 2010

I have just received an update with the latest firmware for the Mini Pro. My RoadSync still does not sync my Outlook contacts to the phone. Mail and Calendar works just fine but when I try to reach my contacts I am just presented with the blue menu, asking me to add users manually or to sync with Google etc. There are no more settings to set in the RoadSync application more than to checkmark the contacts - then they should "automatically" show up in the Android contact list, which does not happen. This is really a very big issue, making the phone almost unusable.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Way To Link My Facebook Contacts To Their Matching Phone Book

Sep 14, 2010

Is there a quick way to link my Facebook contacts to their matching phone book contact, Or am I forced to do it one by one. My Moto Backflip automatically linked FB to PB, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with Timescape.

I'm at a loss, as I work in the industry and cannot figure this out. Any help would be appreciated

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Poor Battery Charge / Can't Add Contacts To Address Book?

Jul 2, 2010

I was aware of the poor customer reviews of the x10's battery life, but it's turned out to be much worse than expected.

I will take the phone off of charge at 8am and ensure that no tasks or apps are running, not use the phone throughout the day, then by 3pm the charge level is around 30%. Often, if I don't start charging the phone at that point at work, the phone will run out of charge completely by around 4pm. I check throughout the day and tasks are not running, so how is the charge being lost so quick?!

This problem is not getting better: I read customer reviews saying that the battery problem improves after around the first month, but my case is the opposite - it started to get even worse after the first month!

I am also having a problem with adding contacts to the address book - all of a sudden it seems that I cannot add new contacts. I will add one contact, go back to the address book and see the new contact being displayed in the list, but when adding a second new contact both the first and second new contacts disappear. I do not have a problem with phone memory, I have tried saving to both SIM and memory, have tried backing up my address book in case that makes a difference, have switched the phone off/on again, but all to no avail. I have tried adding a new number to an existing contact and the new contact seems to disappear. It goes without saying that I have read the x10 instructions on this subject (and it goes without saying that I make sure to press save/done when adding the new entry).

It's got to the point where I am starting to regret choosing the X10. On the face of it, this is an excellent phone, but two relatively simple problems are ensuring that I feel like I own the poor man's smartphone (dare I say it, I wish I chose an iPhone now).

I checked with both my network operator and the shop I bought it from - unfortunately I am outside the 28 day initial period (I am in the UK), so the only recourse offered to me by the shop is to give me Ģ20 to buy either a new battery or to buy a new cheap pay as you go phone so that I can return the handset/battery to SE. The problem with both options is that I am not confident that it will resolve the problem.

Anyone else had any issues like this?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 :: No Shown Delivery Report For Sms?

Dec 1, 2010

I have searched for hours after a solution to get delivery reports for sms in my Xperia X8. What I understand there is no way to get proper delivery reports, that is a report AFTER the message has been delivered to the recipent. I have used several sms apps like Handcent and in this program I choosed the alternative "report when the sms has reached the recipent". No delivery report was shown. I sent an sms to my older phone, the sms was receieved but no delivery report was shown. In my older W595 this was no problem and I use the same SIM card and same telephone number.

Is the Xperia X8 such a lousy phone and the developers such amateurs that they didnīt include such a simple function in a mobile launched in 2010? Hoping for some tips! Perhaps there is an app that fixes the problem?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Recipient Shown With Digits Underneath

Sep 26, 2010

When I used to compose a text message I could tap the "To" field, start typing the first few letters of the recipient's name and the list of matches in my phone book would automatically appear. Now all that appears is exactly what I type with a few apparently random digits underneath. For example if I type "Tim" I used to get a drop-down list of all the Tims In my phonebook. Now all I get is something like "Tim" with "617" underneath. Do I need to do something like sync my sms with my phonebook and If so how?
