I was trying to install the latest software via software companion and it was taking well over an hour. So I removed the phone to complete it later. Big mistake. My phone is now disabled and only shows an exclamation mark and triangle. What I have to do to restore it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't have a rooted phone. I've been running the IK5 firmware for a while with no problems. I had to travel to the states and put my phone on airplane mode and then decided to shut it off. When I tried to turn it on, it would get to the Samsung "glowing" logo and stay there for awhile. Then the screen would flash and the Samsung logo would appear again. My phone was stuck in a loop after that. It never booted up. I decided to try and reload the firmware and that didn't help. Then I tried recovery mode. That's when I got the infamous triangle with and exclamation point in it. After that nothing. I guess I may have somehow bricked an unrooted phone. Although this isn't my specialty.

I proceeded to try and turn the phone off but it gave me lots of options with a white screen, i couldn't get it to do anything so i took the battery out and then it started normally.
I have just received an update with the latest firmware for the Mini Pro. My RoadSync still does not sync my Outlook contacts to the phone. Mail and Calendar works just fine but when I try to reach my contacts I am just presented with the blue menu, asking me to add users manually or to sync with Google etc. There are no more settings to set in the RoadSync application more than to checkmark the contacts - then they should "automatically" show up in the Android contact list, which does not happen. This is really a very big issue, making the phone almost unusable.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have searched for hours after a solution to get delivery reports for sms in my Xperia X8. What I understand there is no way to get proper delivery reports, that is a report AFTER the message has been delivered to the recipent. I have used several sms apps like Handcent and in this program I choosed the alternative "report when the sms has reached the recipent". No delivery report was shown. I sent an sms to my older phone, the sms was receieved but no delivery report was shown. In my older W595 this was no problem and I use the same SIM card and same telephone number.
Is the Xperia X8 such a lousy phone and the developers such amateurs that they didnīt include such a simple function in a mobile launched in 2010? Hoping for some tips! Perhaps there is an app that fixes the problem?
I thought the idea of the home screen was to show the latest sms/email etc, i got a sms but home page shows an old message, when i go into timescape i see my last actions and the newest message but the old message that is on homescreen is not shown. Take it this is a slight bug?

Now all that appears is exactly what I type with a few apparently random digits underneath. For example if I type "Tim" I used to get a drop-down list of all the Tims In my phonebook. Now all I get is something like "Tim" with "617" underneath. Do I need to do something like sync my sms with my phonebook and If so how?

Phone Vibration switches off each time you switch off the mobile. It gets annoying that you need to switch on the vibrator each time you switch on mobile. It seems that the setting for vibration is not stored, or gets erased each time.

i can get into the boot loader but when trying to go to recovery i get the exclamation point.
My phone works fine. Aside from rooting troubles, it boots up perfectly. Im on hboot 1.47 and want to root so I've been experimenting with it. ANyways, I boot into recovery mode, and all that came up was a picture of an eris with a red exclamation mark on it. What does this mean?

When 2.2 became available via OTA, I kept refusing the update, because I wasn't sure if I could update to it from a rooted phone. My wife was using the phone one day when the update notice popped up again, and she proceeded with the update. Sure enough, the update ended up failing, with a red triangle and exclamation point.
After I rebooted the device, I never received another OTA update request. So I tried to unroot the phone, but clockwork seems to stick around. Just an hour ago, I tried to install the official 2.2 ROM (PB31IMG.zip). After applying the image, I get a green triangle, then the same red triangle with an exclamation point. I restarted the device, but now it boots into the white hboot screen, with the following info:

I did the simple root last night and installed the latest version of damage control that rom manager had access to. So after I loaded it onto my phone I tried to run DCupdater. The update downloaded fine, but I found that after it tried installing I would run into a screen that showed a yellow triangle with an exclamation point sign in it with an android next to it. What can I do so that I can update DC?
