I want to import contact from SIM card to my phone i7500.But this function isn't running. I go to application Contact, press Menu to Import contacts. In the screen, it has message: " Reading from SIM card" and it doesn't has anything.My ROM is Galaxo 1.6.3.4.

I want to copy my contacts to my SIM card so i can reset it and update it.
But the problem is, in pcs you can copy your contacts from your phone to pcs, but i first have to update it.
But when i update it all my numbers would be lost.
And the second problem is it doesnt want to update my phone.
When i try to update it, it says there has been a problem with the connection with the server.
Could i put a memory card in to my phone and copy my numbers to it?
I have just bought a T-Mobile G2 Touch.Which I now also believe is known as the HTC Hero.Unfortunately my existing Contacts are not being picked up from the Sim card. In this phone it is reading as zero. In any other phone 100+.The only work around that I can think of is to upgrade my Outlook client, export to a CSV file, import into Google mail, sync across and then import into the People folder.

Later I found out myfaves is sending these costly messages, I wanted to turn off myfaves and I followed the following steps: 1. I downgraded my phone from RC33 to RC29 and rooted the phone 2. As I read that all RC3X versions have myfaves, installed JFv1.43_Holiday.zip using the standard procedure (update.zip on SD card, Home+Power, ALT+L, ALT+S, etc) 3. Now I see that myfaves is turned off (no new messages sent), but when I try to import contacts from Vodafone SIM card, the phone crashes with message " The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, Please try again"

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am not able to mount my SDCARD using NPS. My phone does not has a CSC file and I understand that updates wont work. But everyone seems to be able to mount the SD card and copy files to it. I want to update to Galexo roms but not even able to mount my phone.I disabled the mass storage settings and enabled the debugging. I was able to flash the phone using Odin and also able install the recovery image from Galexo.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBecause I have to send my Samsung Galaxy I7500 back to Samsung (the audio plug is broken and does not detect disconnecting the headphone) I try to get my contacts back to my Sim-card. This is so I can use my good old Nokia 6200 again. Now since there are no options in the standard software, I downloaded this app. Contacts 2 Sim. It has a function for copying contacts and this SEEMS to work (it gives me a message saying it copied 192 contacts). BUT... When I put my Sim-card over to the other phone nothing has changed. Also when I, switch my Samsung off and on again (after copying to SIM) the contacts are already gone from the Sim again. Is my SIM locked or something? It is a bit annoying so if someone could help me out it would be great.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've currently got a Bell Samsung I7500, I flashed I7500XEJC6 onto it with Odin (using this site http://mauweb.net/3.0/en/technology/17-android/99-icon-androidsamsung-galaxy-i7500-upgrade-1634.html) and was able to get it from being in some foreign language into english again.
But now it loads up with SIM Network Unlock PIN, when I have a Bell Sim card in. I can either enter the pin, or dismiss the message.
If I dismiss it won't read the SIM card and therefore has no signal. I was able to get the WIFI to work, and got into the marketplace. I had already downloaded Drakaz's updating software, but there was problems with that before I flashed the Baseband. I took a picture of the problem with the Galoxo system running (I went back to it to see if that would help) for reference.
Now I can't seem to find any way to get around this. I asked Bell if they could give me a code to lock it to to their Network. When I called them they tried numerous codes but none worked. They said after it loaded without the SIM card in without that message, that I needed a new SIM card. A new SIM card however didn't work. Same message.
I tried getting a company online to get me an unlock code, but their answer was that "There are so many mobile out there sometimes the firmware on certain versions mean I can't generate the code. Your only option may be your network operator or a local shop who can unlock via a cable."
So a while back I was transferring some files between my computer (Win7) and my phone and the phone froze; against everything I know about usb storage devices I disconnected the phone from the computer (don't ask why, I know I f'd up), restarted the phone and all worked ok... except, since then, every time I connect the phone to the computer I get this message about the internal sd card:

I can't seem to sync some contacts that i've added on my galaxy to google contacts. i count at least 3 off the top of my head that i've added some time ago - one with only a name + number, one with those + pic, one with those + email. i just logged in to gmail on a computer and was about to send a mail to the last one mentioned, but couldn't find the contact. i tried to sync manually from the phone (by disabling/enabling contacts auto sync), and it did sync and changed the timestamp for "last synced", but none of those contacts appeared in my google contacts.

I can see all the apps that I have installed, all pics, all music files even all SMS's but I don't have any contacts in my phone any more.
Are they gone for good or are they hiding somewhere on the phone?
I didn't have them synced with my gmail account.

First I can't import contacts through signing into my gmail account, it wont even let me get into that window by pressing the button from the menu. So do themes have to be exactly compatible with the version of Galaxo?Also, where is "Market" on Galaxo? was that removed?
