the default labels "Family", "Coworkers", "Friends" are not included on my Samsung Galaxy => couldn't sync at all. Is the same happen to other phones? / raymond

i just successfully installed Galaxo 1.6.3.3 on my Samsung Galaxy i7500 and theres two issues here. First I can't import contacts through signing into my gmail account, it wont even let me get into that window by pressing the button from the menu. So do themes have to be exactly compatible with the version of Galaxo?Also, where is "Market" on Galaxo? was that removed?

there I am new to this. I would like to find out some information in regards to and update for the samsung galaxy I7500.I live in Australia and it seems the phone cant be updated. Is this true. I have tried on many times to plug my phone into my computer via pc studio.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving had the Nexus one with glorious Stock Android I'm struggling with some of the Samsung 'improvements'. The primary issue for me right now is that I've got the nasty Sammy Contacts app (with it's non-maintained-aspect-ration contact pics, i HATE that) sync to Google Contacts, but it shows them all! On the N1 I could filter so that I could only view 'My Contacts' from Google, a nice limited Group I could readily maintain. I can see no option to do this on the SGS. Anyone found it? Can't wait for a stock android ROM for this beast, it is awesome but as of yet I can't see how Samsung added any value with their SW meddling.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was originally going to get either the HTC Hero or Motorola Droid but found out they are both CMDA. and the Milestone is out of my budget. People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi think my gt-i7500 is bricked. i downloaded the 1.6 firmware(.tar) along with ODIN.. set up the downloading mode and used ODIN to flash it to 1.6. ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have configured my Samsung Galaxy S using my normal Gmail account. This has helped me to sync the Google Contacts with my phone.
Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
I have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
I somehow setup gmail and the "default email" application. that is kind of dumb to have both? anyway I want to use the gmail application. Where is the setup of the default email application so I can remove/delete the application? Gmail application - HOW / WHERE can you make it default to show pictures in an email? Not liking all the black setup applications and menus? If I get a different theme does that change all menus and color of default applications like messaging and setup menus/everything?
View 6 Replies View RelatedBecause I have to send my Samsung Galaxy I7500 back to Samsung (the audio plug is broken and does not detect disconnecting the headphone) I try to get my contacts back to my Sim-card. This is so I can use my good old Nokia 6200 again. Now since there are no options in the standard software, I downloaded this app. Contacts 2 Sim. It has a function for copying contacts and this SEEMS to work (it gives me a message saying it copied 192 contacts). BUT... When I put my Sim-card over to the other phone nothing has changed. Also when I, switch my Samsung off and on again (after copying to SIM) the contacts are already gone from the Sim again. Is my SIM locked or something? It is a bit annoying so if someone could help me out it would be great.
