I am new to the group. Just bought the Samsung Moment today and I am so lost. i would like to know a few things.
1. When I transfer my music onto the phone how can I use them as my ringtones?
2. Is this even able to be done?
3. When transfering them, how do I find them?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, got this new "awesome" phone I've heard so much about and I'm starting to get really irritated and about to throw it against the wall.I've read tons of posts on this forum and others and can't get new rintones loaded, and advice? I've used the sync feature in Windows Media Player to load music, and when I go into the Music Player on the phone, they are all there, but show unknown artist, unknown albulm, whats the deal? I deleted them and re-loaded, same issue. I deleted again and did drag and drop and they dont show in the medai player at all.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to the Sprint and the Moment scene and was wondering if someone could maybe explain how to organize my ringtones and music better than how it is done now. I can connect the phone to the pc just fine and mount/unmount and copy files and such. What is bothering me is how the songs list in the player and under ringtones, seems all list the same in both places, I made a playlist, but I don't want my songs listing as ringtones. Anyone know how to do this better? Also, how to make it read the song tags info as well.

The phone rings and the speaker works but it will not play Pandora, will not play MP3 files stored in the SD card, it will not play voice mail and it will not play stored ring tones? Any way to troubleshoot or should I jut get a new phone? Even with the insurance they want $100, thieves. First they don't release 2.2 and now this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me nuts. When I get in my car and bluetooth connects to the phone, the phone automatically starts playing music through BT audio. I cant find any way to disable it short of turning off BT and I dont want to do that as I play Slacker through BT. Is there an option Ive missed to disable autoplaying of music?

I have searched here and over the net and the only suggestion people really gave were rebooting and turning on/off debugging mode.Neither made a bit of difference for me whatsoever.It is a used phone that I purchased from someone on here, but everything else on it has been flawless. I think it may be using a custom 2.1 install, but I am unsure.I guess I could try reverting it to stock.

I figured it was like any other phone i have owned (connect phone via USB to pc and just drag pic's from the phone to the pc). However it doesn't seem to work that way with the moment. I took several pic's with my phone this weekend that i want to load on my pc so I connected the moment via USB cable to my pc but i don't see any way to access the phone's info. I've tried putting them in /media/audio/ringtones as well as the .nomedia text file solution, but unless I am doing something wrong, or it just works differently with this phone, the files still appear in the Music Player app.

It's annoying that when I download ringtones on my Captivate, it puts them right into my music files so that when I'm listening to music, the ringtones pop up and play every once in awhile. The issue: I downloaded a ringtone and now it is showing up with all my mp3's (500 or so) in the Play Music App.
What I need: I do not want the ring tone to show up in the Play Music App but I want to keep the ringtone because I use it to identify when my girlfriend calls.
What I don't want to happen: I do not want the ringtone deleted because I still need it to function as a ringtone for one of my contacts.
I've downloaded some custom ringtones and notification tones onto my SF. However, they all end up in the music player. I don't want to hear my ringtones and notification tones while I'm going through all my music... Does anyone know how to get keep these custom ringtones and notification tones out of my Music Player?

I just ordered a new laptop and it should be here next week. when my new computer arrives is there a way I can just transfer all my music from my evo to the laptop or do I need to burn all my music to cd's from my current computer then rip the cd's to the new computer.
