Jan 31, 2010I upgraded to the samsung moment at the end of December and absolutely love the phone. I have been reading all the posts concerning battery issues and have the same problems myself. I have tried numerous tips and tricks that i have read on this forum to hopefully increase my battery life. My post today is about how to forward a text message using the moment. I upgraded from an Samsung Instict and had no problem forwarding messages using the phone; however, I do not get the option to forward when i hit the menu key when looking at a text.

Feb 19, 2010I did attempt to use the search feature here but didnt come up with the results I was looking for (or maybe I used it wrong?) I ask the following questions because unfortunately, I dont have good eyesight.
1. Regarding font size. I realize there is no current setting for font size on this phone (that I know of) does anyone here know if the upcoming 2.1 update will include that?
2. I know there is a text size option for the browser. However, it doesent seem to work on most websites I go to (like CNN for example) I try setting it at different sizes and nada. So far my browsing experience hasent been that good because of this (having to constantly strain my eyes looking at website text) Any tips on why the text size option doesent seem to work?
3. is there anyway to increase the text size of emails and text messages?
Samsung Moment :: HTML Not Showing / Setting In Moxier To Enable Links Within Email Messages?
Jan 17, 2010I recently switched from a Treo to the Moment. Generally quite pleased, but the Moxier email client doesn't seem to be displaying html links at all.
Exchange mail on the Treo still shows links, so unlike some of the other posts, the problem is not with the corporate exchange server stripping out html.
Is there a setting in Moxier to enable links within email messages?

Jul 14, 2010I keep getting the triangle with exclamation point saying my text messages have not been sent. I try to resend and they still won't. Is it me or a setting or what?

Aug 1, 2010I have a Samsung Moment SM900. I see that there's a software update for my kind of phone. It states that all of the things I have on my cell will be deleted or erased so it would be best to back up some things that I may want to save. I have a text message from a friend asking to borrow money and that they will pay it back. I want to keep all of the details from that message thread just in case. I can copy and paste it to my notepad or I can forward it to my email address but neither of these have the vital information such as the day and time these messages were sent to me. I have a 16GB memory card in my phone but I can't do anything but mount or unmount it. Is there a app where I can save my text messages to either my card or computer? I want to update my phone but don't want to lose the old stuff that may be erased or deleted.

Apr 29, 2010It seems I cannot receive texts today.I rarely use this feature but was informed by a friend that he had texted me and wondered why I did not respond. The last time I used this feature was about a month ago.Logging into my Sprint account, it appears Sprint has updated their website to include something called ZipText.This is new to me but may not actually be new. It appears to be set up to forward any texts it receives by default and the messages I expected to see did not appear there. In fact no texts appeared there.So is anyone experiencing problems receiving texts? I have tried powering down and up my phone.I have successfully sent 2 texts to different people but I do not receive their replies or new messages.I cannot see a setting that would cause this.I have gone into the "Messaging" application to send texts.

Dec 1, 2010So my girlfriend is having an issue with her phone. I don't see it being an issue with mine but it might be something else. She is receiving non-alpha numeric characters in her text messages. So far shes gotten it from me and one of her other friends not knowing what to say she called it "caligraphy". Anyways, I am on Metro and her friend is on Verizon. I'd figure its a CDMA issue but she is on a Samsung Moment on Sprint which is also CDMA so idunno.
To me they send fine, but to her some of the texts she receives come in all garbled. Not sure whats going on, anyone got any ideas? Her phone is unrooted, stock, and like a week and a half ago had a factory reset done. Its 2.1 android. In this screenshot I asked her to forward me the "jibberish." She had tried to do it several times earlier but i never got the messages, this time i got it so heres a screenie for you all.

Jan 17, 2010When ever my phone freezes and the battery come out when I start it back up. The phone ends up sending 2 to 3 random previous messages to the last person I texted. This has happened several times has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix?

Jan 21, 2010incoming text messages are all showing up sent 5-10 minutes BEFORE the time it was actually sent so it totally ruins convos on my moment.. Mar 3, 2010If I put my phone in silent mode (so it just vibrates) I do not notice it vibrating for my instant message which is set to Yahoo IM. I notice it vibrating for calls, and text messages, and even emails, but not for yahoo IM. I have instant message set to go in the notification bar so it should, but i never notice it happening. Jun 25, 2010Once again, I must do a hard reset on my Samsung Moment. I love and hate this phone! My calls started randomly going directly to voice mail, then they all went directly to voice mail. Yesterday I couldn't make or receive any calls! They got that fixed today with a reprogram process, BUT, now I cannot connect to the Internet!
How do I forward/save, whatever, my text messages? Can I save them somehow to the SD card and remove it? Can I forward them to my email (without using the Internet?).
I have the messaging program that is standard, plus I use Chomp SMS mainly.

Feb 3, 2010I do have a few questions about the phone. i was wondering if there is a way to make text messages alerts show up on my screen. i have an app that shows if i have one unread but it is pretty small. every other phone i've had had a pretty big notification for texts. also is there a way to have the screen light up when you get a text? there is a sound that plays when i get a text, but the screen does not light up. not sure if im just missing something, but is there a way to set different tones for different notification? right now the same thing plays when i plug my phone in, that plays when i get a text. none of these are huge issues, but i am just curious if there is a way to make some changes on the phone. im sure ill figure it out or just get used to it.

How do we set a text message ringtone? When we text, all we get is a goofy little chime and the phones vibrate. I'll never hear that thing in my purse.I went to settings>notifications and set a soundbite I want to use after transferring it to the media>notifications folder, and when I get e-mails, it worked. But not for texting.
Also, what forum do I use for the double time? What is rooting, and do we need to do it? We got the phones through AT&T and they work fine so far. Also, we have wifi at home- does that still count against our 3g plan when we're using that to access the market while trying to figure this out?

Nov 29, 2010How would one go about doing this with a Droid 2? I'm trying to add them so I can set ringtones for individual contacts, so when they call, I know who is calling me. I have tones already picked out and saved to my Gmail account. I thought I would be able to set them from there, but it turns out that's not possible. I used to be able to do this on my LG Chocolate.I had sent the tones I wanted using a service called Mobile17.

Jul 25, 2010Is anyone else having problems with setting MP3's as ringtones? I sure am! When I navigate to the MP3 that I want as my ringtone, I tap the menu button to find the "Set as" option, but that option seems to have been removed altogether! Am I missing something here, or have AT&T and/or Samsung decided that we're not allowed to set our personal MP3's as ringtones and therefore are forced to either do without, or buy them from wherever?
