I just got the Moment and I like it so far, but for the love of God I can't figure out how to turn the sound off when my phone goes out of service. Where can I find this!?
I live in an area with poor cell service (I knew this and I hate talking on my phone) and just want the noise shut off. I don't need a stupid beep to tell me that it's outta service. It's driving me nuts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently started having this problem. I set the screen time out for 15 seconds but the phone won't go to sleep unless I manually turn it "off." I've tried restarting the phone which helps but eventually it starts acting up again. As i type this, I haven't touched the phone in about 3 mins and the screen is still on. Any help? I;m wondering if it's an app I installed?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor a few weeks, my phone has been shutting itself off randomly for no apparent reason. I remove the battery, pop it back in, and it powers up normally. It's off now, I've removed the battery (for about 10 - 15 seconds) and it still won't turn back on.

There are no any cracks on the screen and all of the touch stuff still works, what i mean is when the phone is on i can still unlock and scroll down i can feel it vibrate when I do so. I have tried pulling the battery and restarting and nothing will help. Does anyone else have any idea of whats wrong or how to fix it.?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a sprint powered samsung moment i never used a custom rom i just have the 2.1 eclair update and i had the phone for a while no problems. But yesterday i dropped it at the bar i picked it up and nothing was wrong it didnt even get scratched. later that night it needed to be recharged and died on my but when i hooked my charger up the batttery didnt display on the screen so i tryed a difrent charger same thing i still let it charge all night but it wont start up. i want to try manuelly restart it but how? and ideas guys? thanks, Jeff

Also looked everywhere in the sounds menu and nothing - am I missing something? There is an option in my EVO but I find nothing in the Epic 4G - inside our house we get poor reception (Airave here I come!), so the Epic connects regularly to a Verizon tower and that sound is driving me crazy!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed in all music apps (pandora, slacker, last.fm, mp3's) the sound on the low end is very overmodulated. It is to the point that if I am wearing headphones or using the Moment to play music in the car that the speakers are being pushed extremely hard. The low end is so cranked that no level of EQ on my sound system can get rid of the muffled sound on the low end.
It also almost sounds like my earbuds are going to blow even on low volume.
All other devices (IPod Touch, Touch Pro, Slacker portable, Hero) do not have this problem.
Is this normal for this phone and if so do you know of any apps where you can tweak the EQ of the media volume output?
Does anyone have problems with sound when playing music. I seem to be have one channel missing when I play Pandora or my personal music. It sound like one side of the songs is coming through but through both speakers. is there and equalizer app out there?

View 5 Replies View RelatedHaving a strange issue that after searching for a few days I dont see anyone else having it.Every once in a while the 3 led's will not turn off. The home, menu and back lights. Then when the phone tries to go to sleep it automatically wakes back up and gets stuck in a sleep/wakeup loop. Sometimes unlocking it and hitting menu twice resolves it but other times I have to restart the phone. Im thinking either pandahome or handcent are causing it but Ive got a few friends running the same phone and those apps that arent having issues. If anyone else is having this happen please let me know.

From my research, I think the problem is that agps does a call to verify that local service is available before it will kick the regular gps in. Forgive my crude tech speak, but I imagine there must be some sort of workaround. Is there any way to fake the phone into thinking it has a sprint service signal or is there a way to turn off agps? There must be some sort of hack I can do. I hope someone can give me something, this phone is an expensive brick here. And no, turning on airplane mode enabling wifi and gps location services don't help. I expected the qwerty keyboard to have an audible click sound from the mic while typing. Ive read the manual and cant seem to find anything about this. As it is , the keyboard is silent while typing, is that normal?
