I have tried a couple of free SMS tools from Android but they also stop at 1- in the group. Does anyone know of a group sms app that will allow it to send to about 40 people in one go?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two accounts, exchange and gmail. All the contacts I care about are in gmail.I also set up my exchange to sync contacts.900 of my contacts are now in the 'corporate' group in contacts on my Galaxy. This means changing those doesn't sync to google.com/contacts and vice versa
question 1: Any way to move all those contacts over to gmail group so they sync?
question 2: Any ideas how this happened?
I purchased an unlocked and unbranded Samsung Galaxy S i9000 from Amazon.
After playing around with it for some time, installing all sorts and getting to know how to use it I decided I would perform a factory reset to "clean" it before continuing to use it "properly".
Before performing the factory reset I navigated to "My Files", selected delete, then selected every single folder and file and deleted them.
I then performed the factory reset.
Now I am missing 4 images which were available as wallpaper in "gallery" and probably several other files/folders.
I thought the factory reset would return the phone to its original state and reproduce any folders/files I may have deleted in the process. I thought they might be stored in a hidden "partition" or similar which I had no access to.
Anyway my questions are how can I restore my phone to its original state and which other files/folders would have been present initially but have now been deleted by me?
Does anyone know of apps that can hide pictures or password protect folders?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't want to sync anything with Google or Samsung. I have a galaxy note.
I don't have sync enabled but I see a Samsung account folder in the Android browser favourites. There is nothing inside, but how can I remove this folder?
I already uninstalled the Google and Samsung sync applications with titanium backup but the folder is still there.
Having had the Nexus one with glorious Stock Android I'm struggling with some of the Samsung 'improvements'. The primary issue for me right now is that I've got the nasty Sammy Contacts app (with it's non-maintained-aspect-ration contact pics, i HATE that) sync to Google Contacts, but it shows them all! On the N1 I could filter so that I could only view 'My Contacts' from Google, a nice limited Group I could readily maintain. I can see no option to do this on the SGS. Anyone found it? Can't wait for a stock android ROM for this beast, it is awesome but as of yet I can't see how Samsung added any value with their SW meddling.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThough Galaxy S has got the gorgeous Super AMOLED display and good GPU which is capable of 50FPS, I dont see a whole lot of games developed by Premium Game makers (like EA, Game loft). Also, any game playable with Android 2.1 is compatible with Galaxy S or do we need games specifically developed for Galaxy S?

They don't appear in his list of applications. He's tried going into applications, menu, edit. But only some of the applications (and not the ones he wants to get rid of) have the red no entry sign.

View 14 Replies View RelatedSo I got the Galaxy Note 2 in December and I have been loving it but the only thing I miss is the iMessage group chat. So in the messaging app I can start a group chat but when I get texts back it just comes into that friend's name chat, not the group chat I started. But my main concern is that I am part of a group chat with my friends but it doesn't put those in a folder when they are sent to me. It just comes up as an MMS. I have tried GOSMSPro but maybe I am dumb and group chatting might not be possible to get all the messages in the same folder?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III and her of friends have iPhones. They are all in a group chat together and the problem is, when my girlfriend receives messages as part of the group chat, she has to actually download them as if they were picture messages. That obviously uses up a lot of data and it gets very frustrating after a while. So how can she get her phone to receive messages normally just like every other recipient in the group chat does, so that she doesn't have to download all of them which not only is very tedious, but highly data-consuming.

My issue that my two friends that have galaxy s4's whenever they respond to a group message their messages come to me as individual threads, but other peoples goes to the group text.
I have a moto x (but it was doing the same thing on my gnexus). Other friends all of their messages go to the group (iphone, moto x, htc one).
Both S4 users came from iphones.
Are there any IM apps that allow group conversations (for msn specifically) where you can have more than one person in a conversation?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAOKP has the option to enable/disable soft keys. For each soft key I can choose an app that should open when pressed. I would like to have a soft key that opens a group of apps. Example: The first "Soft key" (with a message-icon) should open a dialog window containing sms, contacts, phone, gmail, mail and so on.
Any app with which I can create such a group shortcut? So this app has to open a group window with selectable apps when started.
I'm looking for an app that will allow me to encrypt folders (preferably without having to go through a third-party file manager) on my Galaxy Note 2 and Nexus 7, while possibly being able to also decrypt and view the folder/files on a Windows or Mac machine.
BoxCryptor is one that I've looked into but I'm not sure if it will allow me to encrypt folders within folders.
A little bit of background for what I need this for... I'm a medical health professional and there are times when I have sensitive data about some of my patients that I need to access via my phone/tablet/home/work computer. I don't necessarily need the folder of patient data to sync across all devices but if that could be done (say via DropBox or WebDAV, encrypted), that would be a bonus.
There are some apps on Google Play that seem like they might work:
Encryption Manager
Safe+
DroidCrypt
I have spent a bit of time working on my galaxy s3 on folders and app placement .. is there anyway to save that .. on that other device it saves it in itunes but I can not figure out how to do it on a phone i like much better

I have a brand-new SGS GT-I9000 (in Romania),but for now I don't have anymobile internet connection. But I want to install apps on my phone, and I know it's possible with SDK Android. So I installed SDK Android (last version has USB driver included,so I installed it too from SDK) and.I don't know what to do next.First of all, do I need another driver to be installed for my SGS (the drivers for SGS were installed with Kies, I presume)? And then, how do I connect phone in USB mode and , especially, how to use command prompt (I'm a dummy on that thing?? When I open command prompt, it's a screen with "c:>" - how can I erase this from command prompt and type adb install etc.?)Please explain me step by step what to do.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to create folders and put apps in those folders on an Incredible?
I'm an android newbie, and I would like to create some folders-games, weather, maps, etc. and put corresponding apps in those folders. I would like to place those folders on my homescreen.

Can we organize all of our apps into folders in the app tray? I know that you can do it and have them displayed on the home page, but I want to do it on the app tray itself. Can I put all my shopping apps together, my sports apps together, etc.? I don't want to change the home pages, just the app tray.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSome background info: I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so no SD-Card. Rooted, running Paranormal Android.
So what started bugging me lately is the fact that android just places folders created by apps in my main storage, which ironically is called /sdcard/.
Is there a way to create a folder, for instance: ProgramFiles, and make android place all folders made by apps in that folder? That way only my Music, Movies folder etc would stay in the main storage.
