Had my Samsung Galaxy S this week and love it......my mates in work have iPhones and they say they can create folders on thier pages, name them accordinaly (music, pictures, apps etc.....) and then place the corresponding data, media etc..... in them, so they are all placed in specific folders.. Is this avaiable to do on the Galaxy S? Is there a app out there for it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked and unbranded Samsung Galaxy S i9000 from Amazon.
After playing around with it for some time, installing all sorts and getting to know how to use it I decided I would perform a factory reset to "clean" it before continuing to use it "properly".
Before performing the factory reset I navigated to "My Files", selected delete, then selected every single folder and file and deleted them.
I then performed the factory reset.
Now I am missing 4 images which were available as wallpaper in "gallery" and probably several other files/folders.
I thought the factory reset would return the phone to its original state and reproduce any folders/files I may have deleted in the process. I thought they might be stored in a hidden "partition" or similar which I had no access to.
Anyway my questions are how can I restore my phone to its original state and which other files/folders would have been present initially but have now been deleted by me?
I don't want to sync anything with Google or Samsung. I have a galaxy note.
I don't have sync enabled but I see a Samsung account folder in the Android browser favourites. There is nothing inside, but how can I remove this folder?
I already uninstalled the Google and Samsung sync applications with titanium backup but the folder is still there.
Does anyone know of a way to create and name new folders within the gallery, and transfer pictures to said gallery? Is there an app that can do this? I would like to be able to better organize all of my pictures rather than having all of them lumped into one folder. Such as a folder for kids, vacation, etc......

The problem is that I cannot create an alarm. There simply isn't any option to do so when pressing the edit key.
For the last week I've had my phone in 'flight mode' and since switching this off I've found the option to create a new alarm is gone. All my previous alarms are still there and the option to delete them is there via the edit key.

How to seperate pictures in albums into sub folders? its very anoying to scroll through 200+ pics to find one. id like to orginize them for easy viewing. is there an app for this or something in settings? i know you can create folders on your home screens which i have done to seperate apps into groups. but then theres no way to send pics to these folders.

Some background info: I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so no SD-Card. Rooted, running Paranormal Android.
So what started bugging me lately is the fact that android just places folders created by apps in my main storage, which ironically is called /sdcard/.
Is there a way to create a folder, for instance: ProgramFiles, and make android place all folders made by apps in that folder? That way only my Music, Movies folder etc would stay in the main storage.
Getting used to the phone now.I'm not able to connect USB mount to my Mac or Windows 7 in virtual mode. On my HTC Legend (HTC Sense with Android 2.1) if you go to add and folder from a homescreen you have a choice of All people, Facebook Phonebook, Phones, Starred (Favorites). Is it possible to create another folder that will hold members of a contact group that I have created? I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to separate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I bought a new 8gb transcend class 6 for my hero and took out the old card and put the new one in and formatted it. Looked at the original 2 gb card and has lots of folders. Question is: do I have to copy and paste the old folders to the new card or will the phone automatically set up new folders? Phone's relatively new so I don't care about the existing photos and whatnot and do I create specific folders myself i.e. mp3, pics, etc.
