Can we organize all of our apps into folders in the app tray? I know that you can do it and have them displayed on the home page, but I want to do it on the app tray itself. Can I put all my shopping apps together, my sports apps together, etc.? I don't want to change the home pages, just the app tray.

I don't mean folders on the home screen, look at the attached imaged if you don't understand. I want to know if it's possible to organize those instead of having to go through multiple pages.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have problem with my note 3. When i go to apps drawers to create folder with the apps i want, it works great until i restart my phone. After the restart, I only see empty folders while the apps are still in the apps drawer.
This is what I have tried so far.
- move apps from SD to device to SD again
- move apps to device
- unmount SD and restart
- Factory reset
Still the apps will be gone from the folders after a restart, but the folders will be there with the name i gave it. This only happens in the app drawers, but not if I created a folder in the widget page.
app that does a complete backup of my device (Note 3) that will restore all settings including the app folders that I have created. I have used Samsung Kies, but that does not restore my app folders. I have spent a lot of time setting up my apps into folders, but there is no app that I can find that will restore app folders. Many of the apps say the restore system settings, but it doesn't appear to me that those settings include the app folders. Coming from an iPhone, this is the biggest frustration that I have so far with my device. iCloud will restore all settings so that a new device is exactly the same as the one it's replacing.

I'm working on an Android app and it's up to 17 classes. I want to start organizing the .java class files into a more intuitive layout.
Say I want to have a source code directory called "views". When I create that directory using Eclipse, it changes my package name to com.xyz to com.xyz.views.
Since this package name (com.xyz.views) is different than the rest of my app (com.xyz) is this going to cause me to do a lot of extra work to link those packages? Will this cause problems with the fact that Android Market looks at the package name and is more or less locked to the package name?
Is there a way to make folders to organize my photos better or maybe an app that will let me do that?

I decided to create folders and name them on my home page and then put various shortcuts in each folder. I have one for games, one for utilities one for multimedia etc.
My question is, how can I get these to be listed in alpabetical order?
Or is there a way that I can organize the apps in the order that I want them (maybe a list view vs. having the icons listed)?
I realize I could delete every icon in the folder and then manually add them in alphabetical order BUT if I find a new app and move it to a folder, it always puts the icon at the bottom of the list.
I have a lot of bookmarks. Is there a way to make folders and put the bookmarks in folders?

Then I tried searching the play store and it doesn't seem to be working properly - apps like iPlayer and Evernote are 'not compatible with my device' and when I search for other apps I don't get the proper, basic ones like camera, only independently made ones that are less popular. When I try to download these I get an error message - Error while retrieving information from server (RPC:S-7 EOS:AEC-O). So I tried looking for solutions on the internet - sync it, remove Google account and put it back on, I've even tried setting up an entirely new email, but nothing has worked. I've noticed my device has a permanent sync error but nothing has remedied that. This is all terribly annoying as a device is pretty useless without apps, although I managed to download Facebook right when I got the tablet. The internet works fine, and my Wi-Fi is strong.

It seems like the app is downloaded but it gets stuck on installing.
When I download a pdf file and tap it in the notification pull-down, the 'open using' box opens. However, the only two options are to use Nova Launcher or some other random program that has nothing to do with opening documents of any kind. More importantly, I have Quickoffice, Acrobat Reader, OfficeSuite, and Polaris installed, yet none of these apps are given as options to open the pdf. I've done a few hours of research without any progress.

I have tried the strategy of clicking on an apps setting and clicking the button that should be halfway down the page that allows me to move it from the internal storage to the SD card, but the button, for any of my apps, does not appear. It's not like its there and I cant click it, its really not even there.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI rooted my 4.2.2 jellybean Android phone and using the Root Explorer app, I transferred all my system apps to my Sd card hoping to increase my phone's internal memory. After doing that, my phone rebooted and all the phone's system apps were gone!!!!!.. like the calendar, launcher, browser, dialer, contacts, File explorer and everything else.. Now using mc pc, I was able to download a few system apps like browser.apk and tried re installing it on my phone but it won't. . .THe error was "App not installed".. I think the reason was because I have also transferred the "downloader.apk something" into my sd card that's why I was unable to download apps now.

Market apps like papa pear saga (haha), songpop and several more are crashing. Also non market apps are crashing like my file manager which was already pre-installed on my phone.
