Dec 24, 2012AOKP has the option to enable/disable soft keys. For each soft key I can choose an app that should open when pressed. I would like to have a soft key that opens a group of apps. Example: The first "Soft key" (with a message-icon) should open a dialog window containing sms, contacts, phone, gmail, mail and so on.
Any app with which I can create such a group shortcut? So this app has to open a group window with selectable apps when started.

I use the same ring tone for all of them except a few special people that I talk to all the time and would like to have just one ring tone for the co workers group so I know when not to answer my phone.

Jun 17, 2010I have long had my WAP pages built and had my URL launchers built by an outsourced group in India. I now have a requirement to update my .apk files to 2.2 as well as build 6 additional .apk files that are made up of 6 completely different URL launchers to other WAP sites. I have successfully set up my Java and SDK environment My questions are: What is the best recommendation the group can suggest as a starting point? How do I open the .apk file in my eclipse environment to make the changes necessary? The Android Market says the following when I attempt to upload my .apk file: [quote] Market does not accept apks signed with the debug certificate. Create a new certificate that is valid for at least 50 years. Market requires that the certificate used to sign the apk be valid until at least October 22, 2033. Create a new certificate. Mar 7, 2009I notice that there's been a bit of controversy in the last couple of days about off-topic posting on this list. As the list home page says, it is intended to be a place to "Discuss developing Android applications using the Android framework". While I find the talk about the Market and wider issues very interesting, I do think it would be better placed on the -discuss list, so that this list can be more focussed on technical issues to do with developing using the SDK.
I wonder if the reason why this list attracts a lot of off-topic stuff is the name? I suspect many people don't see the description and just interpret "android-developers" to be for discussion of issues affecting developers. Perhaps if it was named "android-sdk" (to match the new android-ndk list), that would improve things?

I've got a heap of contacts set into a group as we all regularly send jokes to each other (all hail sickipidea !), however, when i receive a message i can't, for the life of me, figure out how to forward the message to a group. I can only ever search for a single recipient.

Nov 19, 2010I have a query that is making use of GROUP BY so that the results are grouped by a date column. My question is this:
When I move through the cursor to get the results of the query, how can I get the multiple items associated with each group into my vector? For example, I want to get BOTH "Item X" and "Item Y" for October 16, 2010. Currently, I get them each separately.

General :: Group SMS With IPhone?
Jan 28, 2014I'm on T-Mobile with Sony Xperia Z1S, and my all other friends are all with AT&T and iPhone.
Whenever I'm included in their group text (or I sent out group text including them), I never get much of luck working.
I will more likely get bunch of individual MMS text from all 5 friends (iPhone) with "touch to download" but the text itself nowhere to found, and even i touch the "touch to download" mms, it doesn't download anything.
I forgot to mention, i use "hangout" as my main SMS and message app.
I have asked same question on G+ and one person replied and said he has no problem with group text with other iPhone user, and suggested me to have group message on hangout setting, and turn off Wi-Fi calling. I tried and still doesn't work.

So, I've stumbled across the answer: Contacts Groupu. I pulled it from the market, and it syncs with the groups you have in your Google Contacts. When you go to view a group, you can toggle to "check all", then hit email and and watch it plug each email address into the "to" field within the native Gmail app.

Apr 24, 2010When I try to do this to a group with more than 6 people, it converts the message to a mms and wants to use there email and wont add any more than 10 contacts.This way is messed up, I have made several groups of 7 different sets of contacts, They all change to MMS Message when selecting any of those groups.I can send a group message by doing the below actions without any problem for some reason though, Which TBH is just more hasse.

Jun 26, 2010when I'm at the phone screen and hit menu/people/groups icon(multiple cards) you have the option to "add group" at the top or hit menu again and 2 options appear: Add Group or Delete Group. Either of these options are not functional. They don't work. It seems that HTC forgot to add functionality for this. Does anyone have a solution for this?
