Samsung Fascinate :: GPS Will Work On Phone Out Of Box - Froyo And Flash Will Come Pre-installed
Aug 26, 2010Now that we know this phone is getting an early/mid September release.
I have a few questions:
Do you think GPS will work on the phone out of the box?
Do you think Froyo and Flash will come pre-installed?
I hear the phone only has 2GB of onboard memory, but is there a microSD card that is pre-installed? If so, how much space is on it?

I get the following message "Please insert a disk into a Removable disk", I thought that the contents of the sd card can be browsable. Is there something I am missing. May 31, 2010Sso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.

Nov 9, 2010I had the Fascinate when it was first launched had some issues with it (probably just a bad phone) not wanting to risk it I exchanged it for a DX. Well long story short the locked bootloader is killing me. Didn't think it was going to bother me, but it does. So to the point. I didn't have the phone long enough to research the problem, but are any of you guys having problems with lack of internal memory? More specifically, after installing the lag fix. Maybe the original I installed was super huge, but it left me with hardly any memory for apps.

Also I can take pics but they do not save to the sd card our anywhere that I can find. I tried unmounting the cars but it stol does not recognize it. However, it does show my music like the card is mounted. It just seems to be a problem with the gallery.

Oct 14, 2010I'm trying to mount my SD card on my MacBook Pro with the stock USB cable. I had a Moto Droid before my Fascinate, and I knew what to do there � turn on USB debugging, then drag down the status overlay and tell it to mount. Voila, drive appears on desktop. Here, though, I can't get that to work. I have debugging turned on, I've told the phone to mount the card over USB, but my Mac doesn't see it. This is a stock Fascinate, about two weeks old and not rooted. I', I've tried both USB ports on my computer, and that hasn't made any difference.

Sep 14, 2010coming from a BB Curve, you can email yourself ring tones or email them to a friend from your device. I tried to email myself a ring tone on my Fascinate and it comes through, gives you the option to preview it, but no option to save it to the sd card. Does anyone know how to do this? I ask because I have friends that swap ring tones around and it is now impossible to do this for me.

Sep 10, 2010The SD card on my samsung fascinate worked fined until I tried to save a sound from a mms. Then my fascinate starting slowing down... until i removed the sd card. Then the phone ran fine.The problem I have is that I tried to format the sd card both by phone, and by computer. However the phone would freeze up if I insert the card, and my computer is unable to format the card. I tried going to controlpanel//administrative tools/computer management -> disk management, but it was unable to format the card.I even tried downloading something called an "sd formatter" however it appears as though my card is "not supported". Does anyone have a solution on how to return it back to normal? It appears as though normal formatting methods are not working.The card came with the fascinate 16gb, class 2 if that helps at all.
