Nov 14, 2010Anyone know how where I can get more dock icons like these? Mainly looking for a "Gallery" or "Pics" one (amongst a few others), and I haven't used PS in years so I don't think I could custom make one unless there's an easier method than making them from scratch.

(in this case vlingo)I can find various apps that specifically replace the car dock app, but that's not what I want, I want to use vlingo (which doesn't seem to have that option by default)Just to be clear, I don't want an app that gives me an icon I can click to launch vlingo, that would defeat the purpose as I can already click the icon on my home screen to launch it if I want.So how can I set what program launches when I drop it in the car dock?

However, every so often, two of these custom icons revert back to the original ones for no reason?! Anybody had anything similar. I would definitely pay for the Pro version of this app, if I knew that would fix the issue...

Mar 17, 2010I realized that I had to build my own custom dock after reading on other custom dock threads.Most of them were cool but none have had forward facing speakers so far.I didn't want my Droid speaker in constant use when using Pandora, videos, etc. and I wanted speakers facing me, not back. This is what I came up with.It runs on two AA batteries, volume is controlled through phone and bumps loud enough to be heard clearly from 30 feet away. Jan 16, 2010check out my new theme for the Droid. I created this in Sweeter Home v2 and is called "Senspired". You can download it via the integrated theme browser in Sweeter Home (SweeterHome - Start - sweeterhome.com). The main features of this theme are a glossy "sense"-like UI and a dedicated home screen for use in your vehicle in either portrait or landscape mode. Everytime I go select it, it lets me check smart alarm, and pick the duration I want (5 mins) and then the sound I want (breeze) but it still plays the regular alarm melody everytime- even though I can physically see that smart alarm is checked. Is this a bug?

Dec 12, 2009I really like the car dock for the Droid, but I find the "Car Home" application to be very annoying.First, there are no options to customize it, and you are stuck with the shortcuts they think I want. Second, you can't even avoid it.I would be okay if you could just hit that home button to go to the regular home screen once everytime you get in the car, but the problem is that every time you end a call and try to go back to the home screen it takes you back to that car-home screen.Has anyone figured out a way to either disable this or select a different app to open when the phone is in the car dock?My ideal situation would be to have the ability to have the QuickDial app open everytime the phone is docked in the car (any have that come up with the home button is pressed while in the car).

I hate getting notifications of every email while I am asleep but I still need to get phone calls and text messages for work. On my Blackberry I could change my preset volume settings by pushing one button. So far on the Droid I have not figured it out yet.

May 1, 2010Three Droids in the family, had for approx 1 month, with no real battery problems other than drain with GPS use. Battery usage extremely predictable. Until yesterday. Day before yesterday, wife's phone reported battery charge of ~30% after being on media dock charger all night. Figured it was a connection glitch of some kind. Happened again today, then while I was looking at the phone, battery went from ~20% to 100%. Now seemed more like a status reading problem. Picked up my phone from its media dock - a different one - and surprise surprise, it too was reading ~30% after being on dock charging all night.
(Yes, we have power and the docks are plugged in.) Powering down phone doesn't reset status, still reads ~30%.

Mar 4, 2012I had one and accidentally installed a new theme and now I cant find the old theme I had here. I dont have any backups. I know for a fact it was not Annex's MIUI ICS theme and it wasnt the Black Ice theme.

Jul 20, 2012I bought a dock / cradle for my Android (GS3) but I don't think that matters. It would apply to any device..When I put a phone on it overnight at 30% battery, when I woke up it was only like 75%
I have the phone in the cradle, in the back of the cradle they have a battery, and then the cord is plugged into a wall adaptor (the ones shown on ebay) that is holding a spare battery.It took awfully long to charge and not end up fully charged.I know the Innodock Jr from Seidio which I had would have been fully charged, hours earlier..when I asked which one of two cradles to get, it was pointed out that any cradles advertised to do the same things, i.e. case compatible and dual purpose, will be the same quality, just get the cheaper one.
Or could it be due to the device dividing power up three ways (excuse my lack of Electrical knowledge) charging the wall charger, the battery back of the cradle, and the phone itself?

Its pretty nifty so far, but honestly, it'd look so much better if I could add this widget button that opens the taskbar/start menu onto my dock. I'm running LauncherPro Plus, and it doesn't allow widget buttons on the dock.

Nov 12, 2012Every time I put my S3 on the Samsung dock and it goes into dock mode, it shows the temp in my area of 47 degrees no matter if that's true or not. It says it pulls its data from AccuWeather, and when I check there the temp is correct. But no matter what is ALWAYS says 47 degrees when in dock mode.
Does there something I need to do for the correct temp to pass through?
