My Gmail isn't getting pushed anymore. It worked fine up until yesterday, now I will only get my gmail on my phone if I got to the gmail app and hit refresh. Anyone else having similar issues? Any fixes?

As soon as i got my phone it prompted me with an update. I haven't done it because I did it on my evo and was NOT able to turn sense off anymore. Has anyone done it on the epic? Whats the update for?

I have two Gmail accounts and one school email app. All of the settings are set to check every 5 minutes. All three email accounts have been syncing fine for the first two days that I have had the phone, but all of a sudden the two Gmail accounts have stopped autosyncing. However, none of the settings have changed. My school email receives all my emails every 5 minutes, but my two Gmail accounts will only get the email once I enter the accounts and do a manual sync. Both of my Gmail accounts are set to IMAP and they are all on the right settings.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI did the official update today. I didn't mess with the one over the weekend.I use the gmail app for email. Emails are not being pushed instantly as they always have. Did a battery pull, and checked the sync settings, and they are all set to sync as they should be.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAbout a week ago, I ceased receiving my Gmail messages automatically. If I go into Gmail and do a manual refresh, the messages will show up. I have a DINC2running stock Gingerbread. The only change I made about the time this happened was the installation of GO Launcher, which I've subsequently removed. I've done a battery pull as well as a data cache clean up, all to no avail.

On the Pre, I had the option to "receive email as they come" or to have the mail application check for mail every x minutes. Why do I not have an option like that with the EVO? The only option that I can find re: checking email is to set it up to check for new email every x minutes or manually (click refresh). I'd love to have the emails come immediately (and I want the better battery life of having emails pushed).

Right now I only see my contacts (sucked from my Instinct) on my Epic, and my Gmail web acct shows nothing.

I've set each of us up with a gmail account, and I was able to successfully import my contacts from iTunes (I had an iPod Touch). I've spent quite a bit of time in Gmail editing the contacts and adding photos, phone numbers, etc, and would like my wife to share these as well, as a starting point. So what I did was export the contacts to my desktop as a .csv file, then log into *her* account, and import the.csv file. That works great, except I don't have any of the thumbnail photos (which makes sense, 'cause there's nothing in the .csv file about photos). Is there another way to share my contacts with photos, short of going through the whole process of editing each contact from her account and adding a photo?

1.)I have a gmail account already on the phone and linked up.. but the email to it is somewhat complicated so i created another account via gmail.com (on the computer) and im having trouble having the phone connecting to the server and hosting the account.i think this might be a temporary google issue.
2.)I just got into a group at school that requires me to have a calendar.so i tried to creating all of my dates and times on my phone and then syncing it but apparently i had "My Calendar" checked so it won't go do i have to start over? and will it work this time?
3.)I just now decided that i also want to sync my contacts to my gmail account, but i already have 150+ contacts in my phone.I understand that you have to select save to "google" as opposed to "phone" when saving a new contact my question is... do i have to manually go through all 150+ contacts and change this? or is there another way to sync them?
My gmail won't send emails now that I updated to di18, am I the only one with this problem? the emails come in fine, but nothing goes out. works fine from gmail in the desktop.

I have the sbcglobal account in the email app and then the other 3 in the gmail app. How can I switch between the 3 gmail accounts?? Well my contact list has an entry for every person I've ever sent an email to - I literally have thousands of entries in my contact list. Can I fix this to only import my phone contacts? I have all of the sync options turned on and my phone still struggles to sync my gmail. This is getting quite frustrating. Anyone else having the same issues? I know a lot of people have talked about the market issues, but I haven't heard anything about anyone else having the same problems with their gmail.

On Epic Android 2.1
Just yesterday I configured my primary gmail email on a Samsung Epic using Exchange activesync.. It was working and syncing very fast. Except for some VERY IMPORTANT missing features : Default send From, Send From dropdown for all emails in my gmail account and Reply From the original recipent - I was at least happy to get push gmail.
However, today, in an attemp to find some way to send emails as my other domains on the gmail account I deleted that gmail account from the Phone and attempted to configure the secondary account via ActiveSync with something like googleme@mydomain.com... when that did not work (got loading message at the end and it never came back), I presumed you can't do that.. but now I can't even add the orignal gmail acccount back in with Exchange activesync. Same endless loading message ???
so I gave up and let it automatically add gmail account - smtp with 30 minute get sync. Errr.
Did I break something? I'm still able to authenticate into my google account as the gmail primary and the secondaries from the web.
Did I change something on the googl eacoount to cause this? I did add a 3rd email and also made it the default send as on the web client - though that has no bearing on the Android email client.
How can I get my epic to only sync to my gmail calendar by default? When I create an event I need to tell it what calendar to sync to and that gets old.

Samsung UK has announced that 2.2 for Galaxy S will be delayed again.This is really pathetic, they should just tell us it's not coming so we don't wait and dump this device for something that actually works and runs the latest OS.
