I recently bought the Droid incredible and I love the phone. It's the perfect phone for me, however I have come to hate the green that is everwhere. It's on almost every spot where u can click or type. Any suggestions on how to change the color.

I want to develop a web application using HTML, CSS and Javascript one thing that is really annoying is that any link or button etc when clicked inside the Android browser gets highlighted with a green border.
To demonstrate what I mean I have included a link to a page that contains a basic game written in CSS

Is there any way that you are aware of to disable the click green border?
i put my phone into download mode, odin one-click was open already, press start then:

Does anyone know what this green click animation is and how to disable etc.
I see a Sprint Hotspot app on the Epic. What happens if you press it? Does it auto-activate the hotspot, or does it check to see if you have the add-on plan before it can be used?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI drove to a friends house last night to see the fireworks. We had to walk about a mile to get to our sitting spot. About half way there (where there was hardly any coverage) my phone reboot. On the way back about 1 1/2 hours later (in the exact same spot) my phone rebooted again. Wonder if/when this issue will be fixed?
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust wondering why my Incredible can't find my TP2's wifi hot spot. I'm at work, and it found three secured networks near me (to which I don't have the PW of course), but it never picked up on my TP2 although they were less than a foot apart from each other. So I added the TP2 network via the add function, and it said my TP2 network was out of range. My work laptop was able to connect to the TP2 (even through VPN) with no problem.

1) how do I know if it is rooted and ready to go?
2) how to I make changes, like allow mobile hot spot and cool stuff like that?I wont even get into how I can add froyo, simple things first
I have used the full page People widget since day one. Now that I have FROYO, I don't get the little green circles that tells me a contact has updated something like their Facebook Status.

I know on the blackberry tour when they had trackball problems when they fixed it they put a green dot sticker on it so that makes me think something has been corrected about the phone
View 7 Replies View Relatedwhen I get a voicemail, it till pop up at the bottom of the screen when I go to unlock it, but I'm used to seeing text down there anyways (the slide to unlock bit) so sometimes I don't think twice and just flick it. My voice mail app and my messages app, never show that I have a voice mail. I just noticed one today and I went to listened and I had another unlistened to voice mail from a couple weeks ago.If I get a text message, my messages app shows a little number in a green circle. Why doesn't it show a number if I have a voice mail waiting for me?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo today I noticed what seems to be a dead pixel (Not really dead, it just stays the same color). I'm not 100% sure if it is,but I notice that it's pretty much always a blue-green color. I tried doing a pixel fix by using one of those videos on youtube, but no luck. I did notice, however, that if i paused the video, the pixel would be filled in on a blue or green picture, but on red it would turn black. Anyone have any suggestions? If not, do you think I should try exchanging it?
View 15 Replies View RelatedJust noticed this within the last week or so. My unread count in the little green bubble for my email inboxes are off. It will have one number before I open my inbox and then another unread count within the app (before downloading any new emails). It then updates itself when I exit the messages app. Do you think it might have something to do with too many widgets on my homescreen? I don't have anything major...1x1 more icons, 1x4 smooth calendar, vibrate toggle, htc clock. Anyone else have this issue?

I have read all I can about using the Inc overseas and am confused. If the phone is switched to WiFi in a WiFi spot, can you use the phone? I have read that Verizon put some sort of restrictions on it, but I'm not savvy enough to understand it all. My daughter is in the Coast Guard and we both have DInc's. She goes to places like Star Bucks in other countries that offers WiFi and we would LOVE to be able to text each other with our phones. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I go into messages, or email, or facebook, or anything...touch the textbox to bring up the keyboard, touch my keys and although it highlights the keys as normal, nothing goes into the textbox! Quitting the app and going back in did nothing. Had to shut down the phone and restart it to finally get it working.

It seems to automatically add a space after the message.so if I press space to accept it, I need to go back 2 spaces to add a period.If I press '.' to accept it and add punctuation, it leaves a space between the end of the transcribed message and the punctuation.I know this sounds minor but when sending a lot of texts, it can be really annoying.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo the cable advertised that comes with this phone is a micro - USB cable. I went and ordered four cables as spares (2 for the cars and an 1 for each of our work). These cables have not yet arrived so I have not tried them yet. This is what I ordered:

However, this morning I forgot my cable that came with the phone at home so I asked around if anyone had one so I could charge my phone. 4 people gave me cables to try that were micro - USB cables. They *look* like the cable that came with the phone but none of them will insert into the phone. So - now I have doubts that what I ordered will work with this phone.
1) Can anyone tell me if they think the above cables will work?
2) Can anyone tell me if there is a more precise description of the phone cables type?
3) Can anyone point me to a source of 6 foot long cables that will work with this phone?
I have a ListView in my Activity. I am trying to catch both a click and a long click (which should bring up a context menu).

I have just started my career as an android programmer, and am currently relying heavily on the sample code and api examples. I have been working with this api example, to produce an expandable list of items (note this example does not use the ExpadableListView).In playing with the example, I tried to add another widget that would become visible and be gone at the same time as the text (mDialogue in the sample code). This works well with another TextView, but as soon as I tried to add a button widget, it stopped working. The list would expand on first click, showing my hidden TextView and Button, but it will not disappear on further clicks. The button is however, clickable, and I was able to set up an onClick listener to change the button text back and forth.I'm starting to wonder, is it just not possible to have a clickable item inside a clickable list item? Or is there some kind of work around? Would it solve my problem if I used ExpandableListView?
